Before you do this you need all of the KANTO GYM BADGES. Go to Kanto, Vermilon City and go to the port entrance. A guy is standing next to a sign. Talk to him for the PP Max. A PP Max is a powerful item that raises a move's top PP to its maximum.

Morty's Ghost-type Pokemon can be a pain to deal with. Thankfully, there isn't that much diversity in his team they're all part of the Gastly family, meaning they are very fast, hit very hard with Special-based attacks, but have rather low Sp. Def and particularly Defense. Physical-based moves that aren't Normal- or Fighting-type are your best bet against his Pokemon offensively. The best defense is actually a Normal-type Pokemon of your own, effectively preventing Shadow Ball from hitting at all. It's definitely preferable that the Normal-type Pokemon you use has something to attack with. Payback is a good idea if you don't know what else to do, since you should have that TM if you were following this guide. There's also a TM for Shadow Claw just to the east of town, which will also be effective.

Anyway, his ghosts have a few different strategies, but you can count on being put to sleep, you can count on being unable to switch your Pokemon due to Mean Look, and you can count on other devious tactics like Confuse Ray, Curse, and Sucker Punch to throw a wrench in your plans. Don't underestimate Shadow Ball it is much more powerful than it ever was in the original Gold and Silver due to it now being Special-based, which feeds off of his Gengar-line's high Sp. Atk stat. It will do a lot of damage, and, worse yet, Gengar will almost certainly outspeed whatever Pokemon you throw at it. Possibly even his Haunters, too.

Gengar, though, is the biggest threat. It likes to open the fight with Mean Look to prevent you from switching, so keep that in mind on the first turn if you want to switch for a different Pokemon. It has Hypnosis to put you to sleep, and Shadow Ball and Sucker Punch to attack with. Shadow Ball will do a ton of damage to anything that isn't Normal-type, but if you're using something that's a Normal-type, say, like a Raticate or Noctowl, it won't affect it at all. Sucker Punch will always strike first, but it won't do any damage unless you're using an attacking move (and not a support move), so keep that in mind, Normal-types.

Having trouble taking out Morty's gang of Ghost-type Pokemon Go catch a Raticate in the Burned Tower! You can find them there at level 15 or so, and it should know Bite by then, which will be Super Effective against all of Morty's Pokemon. But, better yet, if you can level it up to level 19, it learns Sucker Punch, which will even let it strike before Morty's Pokemon and do a lot of damage just as long...

Ok, well I might forget some gym leaders or some I don't know but I will do my best, and please don't get mad if I am wrong (which it shouldn't be this is from my own experience) And this is for Johto:

Jasmine- She is steel type, Olivine City. You will have to do a little side quest for her before you can battle her, but I am not sure what steel's weakness is. I just used my strongest ones, but usually dragon will do against almost anything.

Pryce- Ice type, Mohogany Town. His pokemon are ice type, and I would say his piloswine is the powerhouse of his team. Refrain from using Dragons!!!

Clair- Dragon, Blackthorn city. One of the hardest, she specializes in dragon type. Her cousin is lance, the champion. Dragons are weak against dragon, so be careful about that. Dragons are vulnerable to ice(water is ok to but ice is better), and I would recommend using Blizzard (get from Goldenrod department store) and Ice Fang. She also has a Gyrados which is weak to electric. A good team would be this(what I used): Dragonair, Shiny Gyrados, Dragonite (if u have it I don't), Vaporeon, and Seel/Dewgong.

Falkner- Violet City, flying type. Not sure, but once you step onto the platform that takes you up, there is a little path on either side leading around the trainers in the gym.

Bugsy: Bug type, Azalea Town. I think fire and flying would be good, but he is pretty easy. Again, if you can get a dragon, you can try that

Chuck: Fighting type, Cianwood. Not sure, but again, dragons would be good. And when you get into the gym, Chuck will be training so you must go up the left side, battle 2 trainers, and push the red button. THEN you can battle him.

Whitney: Normal type, goldenrod. She is normal type, but most of her pokemon know encore which makes you reapeat your move.....

Morty: Ghost, Ecruteak. DO NOT USE NORMAL TYPES! Normal types cannot hit ghosts.

First catch a Ditto and put it in with your starter and these are what you will get:

First go to the Power Plant and talk to the guy yhat runs the place and go out of the building. A police officer will get a call and tell you to go to Cerrulian Gym. Go there. Go in the building and a Team Rocket Grunt will talk to you and escape from the place. Go out of the Gym and go up on the Nugget Bridge. You will see the Team Rocket Guy and he will tell you that he hid the Machine Piece in the Gym. Go back to the Gym and use the Drowsing Machine. In one of the Inner tubes will be the Piece. Go back to the Power Plant and give the Piece to the guy. The power will be back on. Go to Lavender town. Go in the RadioTower and talk to some one. They will give you the Kanto RadioCard. Go back to the Diglett's Cave entrance (Vermillion Side). Go on your Pokegear and go to the Radio thingy. Move the dot around and at the top there will be a Radio thingy called the Pokeflute. Turn onthe Pokeflute and hit "A" on Snorelax. It will wake up and challenge you!

You 1st have to get all 16 badges. then go to celadon city. go to a builing named celadon condominiums. on the 1st floor, go to the elevator and go to the 3rd floor. talk to the guy in front of the globe and he'll give you the GB sounds. then wherever you go it will play a old school remix of the song that is playing wherever you go.

This is a really useful trick i did a while ago that got me my charizard. Before enteriing the Pokeom League, I'd stocked up on revives and hyper potions. i had loads left over, so i went for a trip to Mt silver. To beat red, you will need 50 revives, 30 hyper potions, a focus sash (battle frontier, mom's spending sprees), a few ethers/elixirs, ppossibly some max revives and a Level 64 or higher Dragonite that knows earthquake,fireblast,draco meteor and fly. you will also need to bring 5 other pokemon to send out when good old dragonite cops it and dies, so youu can Revive him. Here's how to do it...
1-Preperation. Put Dragonite first in your party and give him the focus sash. Make sure he is at full health and PP.
2-Common Sense. SAVE!!!!!! This plan is not foolproof, and climbing up Mt silver is really annoying.
3-The Beginning.Challenge RED.
4-Pikachu.Use Earthquake. Lv. 88 Pikachu will use volt tackle, which would normally kill you, but cos of the focus sash you should survive. the recoil pikachu recieves will take him about a third of his health down, and the earthquake will finish him off.
5-Lapras. Unfortunately, the hail will then finish YOU off, so switch to another pokemon and revive your Dragonite, while Red sends out his Lapras. Also healing your dragonite to full. to do this, just keep swithcing to a pokemon and reviving another until Lapras runs out of Blizzard attacks. As soon as he has, send out Dragonite and use fly, but heal after the fly attack if you took dammage (lapras will probably use body slam). Keep using fly and healing until lapras in dead. When the game asks if you want to switch pokemon, select YES (SWITCH POKEMON).
6-Snorlax. Same as with Lapras, just keep usiing the other pokemon as bait so that snorlax uses up all his Blizzard attacks. If he doesn't use Blizzard, switch to dragonite and keep sacrificing, then reviving him. When he's all out, hammer him with draco meteor, and switch out. when he's killed the other pokemon, switch back to dragonite and keepusing fly. your fly PP may be running low by now, so you may need to use an ether.Snorlax will die eventually and when it asks if you want to switch pokeomon, say yes if youu have low health (then heal), but if you have 85%-100% of youur health left, just stay out.
7-Charizard. As soon as you can, use draco metoer and then fly on him, as he'll probably start using dragon pulse on you. keep using fly and again, he'll die. Watch out, however, as you...

(BOOOOOOOOOOO!) but it is a long long LONG GAME!!!!!

You need to go up the stairs and go to the captians room and talk to the girl. she plays hide and seek with you. she will be hiding in a room on that floor.

Having a Pokemon with the Synchronize ability in the first slot of your party will increase your chances of finding a Pokemon with same nature as the Synchronizer's by 50%. The affects of Synchronize will work even if the Pokemon is fainted.

Go to the Ruins of Alph Main entrance. Go to the radio on your Poke'Gear and put the little dot thingy in the middle of the circle. There will ba a scary sound and the Poke'Gear will say Mysterious Broakcast. CREEpY! HUH?!?!

Here is how to find characters from past games in HG/SS
Wake: Find him in the Goldenrod Department store. He gives you a Chimchar mask, a Turtwig mask, and a Piplup mask. Meet him later at route 47 near a large waterfall.
Maylene: Find her in a restaurant in Celadon City. She doesn't really do anything.
Eusine: Find him when you first find Suicune in Cianwood City and whenever else you find it. Once you catch Suicune, Eusine completely disappears. (He was in Crystal)
Cynthia: Find her at the Sinjoh Ruins.
Steven Stone: Find him after retrieving Copycat's doll, at Silph Co., and at the Pewter Museum.

If you want to get to Pallet town, Cinnabar island, Pewter City, etc., you have to go to Saffron City, and take the right exit, and go to Lavender town. There, you will find a radio tower where the pokemon tower once stood. That kind of depresses me. Anyway, you go in there, and near the stairs, there is a man in a hat. If you talk to him, he'll give you an upgrade card for your radio, allowing you to access more channels. Now, go to your pokegear and go to the radio. If you go to the very tippy top of the circle, a channel called the pokemon flute will make an erie noise. Now you fly back to the diglett cave. Play the poke flute in front of the Snorlax and prepare to battle. And save of course. he is at level 50 and is tough. Good luck.

Crasher Wake is a Gym Leader from the Sinnoh Region and specializes in Water Type Pokemon.

The first time you meet him is on the 2nd Floor of Celadon's Department Store. He's looking at masks when he notices you if you talk to him. Wake will give you the Turtwig, Piplup, and Chimchar Masks which are Accessories you can use to dress up your Pokemon. Then, he leaves.

You can go back to Johto and find him staring at a waterfall on Route 47. Wake talks about how he heard about the waterfall near Cianwood and talks about other things after noticing that you are a trainer from Johto.

In the same rooms where you have to complete a picture puzzle of Kabuto, Aerodactyl, Ho-Oh, or Omanyte, there is a plaque that has a word that is spelled using Unowns. Complete the following steps to get the hidden items:

Room with the Kabuto Puzzle: The word is "Escape". You must use an Escape Rope while facing the plaque. You can easily get an Escape Rope at the Violet City Pokemart. The four items you receive are Energy Powder, Heal Powder, Oran Berry, and Pecha Berry.

Room with the Aerodactyl Puzzle (accessible by Surfing): The word is "Light". Use Flash while facing the plaque. The four items you receive are Energy Root, Heal Powder, Moon Stone, and Sitrus Berry.
