What is the Gameboy
A hidden device in game called the Gameboy Player allows you to change the game's music to Gold and Silvers music for a more nostalgic feeling.

where do i find the Gameboy
Enter the Celadon Condominiums next to the Pokemon Center in Celadon City. Use the elevator to get to the third floor. When you exit, your friend will tell you about the Gameboy Sounds. Talk to the man next to the globe after collecting all of the Kanto badges to get the Gameboy Sounds Device.

In Cianwood City, if you go to the house on the bottom-left, make sure you have one spot in your party, a guy will tell you about your Rival coming in and stealing his Pokemon. He says all he has left is his Shuckle, who he doesn't want to get stolen, so he gives it to you!

thare is a secret poiton next to prof. elems lab ok, go to whare your rivel whas standing and click! a poiton ( good for the game begening!)

You can make your own rare candy xp

all you need is:

1-) A shuckle: (you can get one easily in cianwood from the guy who wants you to look afetr his last pokemon)

2-) Oran berries

3-) patience, time, running shoes, and/or bike

Now, get your shuckle from training or the guy in cianwood, and it will be holding the item "berru juice"

--DO NOT TAKE THIS FROM THE POKEMON!!--

Instead run around with your shuckle, or your bike or by foot until the berry juice hardens into a rare candy!!

now just repeat the process by giving your shuckle more and more Oran berries

which you can farm with the berry pots you got from the lady at route 37

when you get rid of sudowoo xD

There are 2 ways you can get Masterballs. Of course your get on after getting all gym badges. Another way you can do it is very, very hard. It is completely luck. In the Goldenrod RadioTower, there is a LotteryCounter. If you [somehow] get a Pokemon with all the numbers the same, you will receive a Masterball. AS I SAID BEFORE, IT IS COMPLETELY LUCK. So dont kill yourself if you dont. If you want a better chance, do alot of trading on Wi-Fi to get all kinds of ID numbers.

Remember, much like Raikou and Entei, Latios roams and his location can be determined by the pokegear map and changes every time that you enter a new route/city/cave/area/what ever.(the pass leads to being abled to catch Latios in the wild as you meet the hoenn champion steven after obtaining the doll).

Now then..

Magnet Train Pass (train from johto to kanto and vice-versa)

After completing the game (beating Red at Mt. Silver), go to the copycat's house which is located in Saffron city (just north of the pokemon center in a purple house). Talk to the girl upstairs that 'copies' you and tells you that she is missing her doll. Travel one city to the south to Vermillion city and go to the pokemon fan club (southwest of that pokecenter) and talk to the chubby dude on the couch he gives you the doll. Take it back to copycat and she gives you the pass.

Latios

As you leave the fan club with the "Lost item", Steven stops you and informs you of Latios' presence. He is now catchable in the game.

Have you ever wanted another rare pokemon for you collection? You have to get a shiny pichu (same color as Pikachu) first of all. (MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A SPACE IN YOUR PARTY) Go to Ilex forest (where the shrine is) with that Pichu and look at the shrine. A few seconds you will see an unusual pichu pop out. (That is the cutest Pichu ever!) It will come to your party. (There is a man there that talks about the Pichu.) Talk to Professor Elm and he will give you details about the Spiky-Notched ear Pichu. However you CANNOT trade this pokemon because it time traveled to much.

P.S. I haven't quite got a shiny Pichu yet, but you can get the Spiky-Notched Pichu on this game.

I'm only posting Jhoto leaders. Once i learn what the Kanto region gym leaders give, I'll post more.

all you need to do is have 30 revives and 30 hyper potions. Next go into the cave and find red(he looks like Ash but he is not) save the game before you talk to him.

First he has a Level 88 Pikachu. It has the Light ball which will double its Attack and Sp. Atk. stats. It is also pretty fast unless you train around its level. The only weakness is Ground type so I recommend Earthquake from the Victory Road.

2. I'll say he sends out an Snorlax. It has ton of HP and it has Blizzard so keep Grass and Flying types away from it. Use a strong fighting type attack has Close Combat or Aura Sphere.

3. The next on my list is Lapras. This Pokemon also has a TON of HP!! The best hits are Electric type attacks so use something like Thunderbolt or Thunder. If you use Meganium, it might get hit with Blizzard although super-effective. Fighting is good too. Rock is also good except the disadvantage of Blizzard.
4. Next is probably Venasaur. It has a weakness of Fire, Flying, Pyschic, and Ice. The red Gyrados or a regular Gyrados's Ice Fang is useful here or give it Flamthrower.

5. Blatiose is up. I has a weakness of Electric and Grass. The Grass type has the weakness again- Blizzard!
6. Finally is Charizard. It has a 4x weakness to Rock type. Electric is good too. The Ice type is regular damage to Charizard due to fire type. Ground dosen't effect it due to Flying type.
Note- Hail is falling all the time so that means Blizzard is 100% accuarcy.
A good Strategy for stopping Pikachu from Volt Tackle is paralyzing it. That means it will cut its spped by 75% percent!
Red doesn't use berries so thats out of the list.
Don't use Ho-oh or Lugia or any Kanto bird because of the Flying Type or Pikachu.
Make sure you buy lots of healing items, X items, and anything else you will need for the fight. You will need HM Pokemon for the climb to the top of Mount Silver so use like 3 Pokemon for fighting.

Hey! I found this awesome cheat you can do. Above Goldenrod, in the little building, there is a red man. Talk to him. He gives you a Spearow maned Kenya. It has mail. He wants you to give it to a friend. Take the mail away and give it to a differant Pokemon such as Geodude. go to the friend. He will say he doesnt know the Pokemon, so you keep it. He givve you a TM for the mail. Cool.

If you are having trouble at the battle frontier, this may help you. First, find yourself a strong pokemon that has very few weaknesses and can learn a variety of moves (I have found smeargle works best, although it is very difficult). Through either training/move tutor and tms teach that pokemon one move of each of the following types: Fighting, Ground, Ice, and Flying. It will give you the advantage over every type of pokemon except for the ghost and water types, you can install those on your second pokemon, I suggest Rotom. For your first pokemon, the best option is mewtwo, except the fact that you do not have the advantage over ghost types. Gyrados can learn several ice type moves like ice fang, can learn earthquake with a tm, and with battle frontier move tutor, it can learn bounce, which is the best flying type move it can learn. The only problem is the only fighting type move it can learn is rock smash. Or you could just use the learn all tms and hms cheat on AR and teack them to a sableye

Here is what you need to do this cheat:
1. A durable rubber band
2. A massage toy (the kind that has a tripod bottom)
3. An area with black top or asphalt
Put the rubber band through the clip on the back of the pokewalker. Attach the rubber band around the massage toy. Activate the toy, leave it on asphalt, and it makes 9000 steps every hour or so. Carpet won't work and hardwood makes an annoying sound, but works. Hope this helps.

You have to go to the Ruins of Alph. Then go in a house that has a sigh by it. It should say Ruins Research Center. Then go in the house by it. This will only happen if you have Arceus. And once you get by the door a guy will bump into you. He will then rekenize your Arceus. He will be surprized. Once that happens he will take you in the Ruins. And when you get there. he will go to a wall. When that happens something stange goes on. Then suddenly you telaport to a place called the Sinjoh Ruins. So then you get out and there will be 2 people outside. you have to talk to them. Once you get to the 2ed person go with the man. Soon you will get to a house Inside is Cynthia. The girl from Sinnoh. Talk to her and then go to the PC inside an put all the pokemon up except for Arceus. Then go back to the ruins. The Ruins where you got telaported to. While your in there go to Cynthia and talk. She will then tell you what to do. And when you follow her she will then tell you about the 3 circles. On the left is Dialga. On the right is Palkia. And on top is Garitina. You choose. Once you choose. Things will happen. Then you get your pokemon. But when you get it it will be at level 1. And your pokemon will have a orb too. You will then be telaported back where you were. So have fun with it.

Have you been trying over and over again to get that last unown, well now theres a cool feature in your pokegear to help you do that. While in the ruins of alph, go to your pokegear and turn on the radio. If it's not already in position, move the little transmission dot towards the lower middle of the screen. You will notice the transmission is somewhat creepy and is called Mysterious Transmission. When you turn this on you will get the other half of the unown alphabet you don't usually get while roaming around. Hope this helped you crazy unown fans out there :P lol

Safari Zone-

-You must pay $500

-You cannot lower a pokemon's hp or use your own balls

-You will recieve 30 Safari Balls

-You must first pass a test

Passing the Test-

First Test: You will need to catch a geodude. He will tell you,"They are usually in the grass at the front." This is very true. Most rock type pokemon will be found there.

Second Test: You will need to catch a SANDSHREW. You can now use the area customizer, which is by the attendant standing in the upper part of the room. He will explain it to you if you talk to him. Now switch one of the areas to 'desert' which I believe is on the second page. Now go back into the safari zone and go to the desert and catch one and bring it to him, you will be able to keep both the Geodude and the Sandshrew.

Catching a pokemon-

Since you cannot battle the pokemon or lower it's hp, you will be given a choice of what to throw (Bait, Mud, Ball) or to run.

Mud-

It will make the pokemon easier to catch, but it may flee

Bait-

will make the pokemon harder to catch, but it probably will stay.

Murkrow-

I threw mud and then a ball, but if you can't get it, just keep looking.

Marill-

Marill you can try just using a ball. Works for me!

Have you ever had a pokemon that doesn't have a gender that you want to breed? A favorite pokemon that doesn't seem to want to breed with anything? Well here's the solution. Catch a ditto. You can find them in the grass on the south end of Goldenrod City. Put the ditto into the daycare with almost any pokemon and you will soon have eggs! To make the eggs hatch faster, get a pokemon with either Flame Body or Magma Armor as an ability. Slugma is the easiest. Also, you can breed Ditto with a Manaphy to get a Phoine. Remember, you can't breed any legendaries except for Manaphy and Spiritomb (Rotom too, if you count him). I hope this helps!

NOTICE before you can catch Cherubi, Starly, and Tailow you need to obtain the national pokedex.

Cherubi: To find cherubi first get a pokemon that knows headbutt and rock climb then go to the National Park and use headbutt on the trees until cherubi it may take a few minutes.

Starly: To find Starly you have to fly to Pewter City and use headbutt on the trees in route two where the white fences are.

Tailow: To find Tailow go fly to cherrygrove city and use surf and rock climb to get to the trees and use headbutt until tailow appears.

I went to the GTS in Goldenrod. it was my first time and i offered a Vaporeon for an Absol. when i tried to take my vaporeon back i got Vaporeon AND Absol!!!! It's only happened to me once so i dont know if anyone else can do it on purpose.

Are you tired of looking to see what stats are changed by natures Wait no more! If a stat name on your pokemon has a slight red tint, that stat will grow more, while blue tints mean less growth. Simple!

You can use the points from the Pokeathalon in the shop to buy certain items. These change from day to day, so look for elemental stones and rare candies in the shop (and you can use the DS calendar options to change the day of the week).

What you will need;
Female riolu or lucario
Hitmonlee that knows blaze kick


1.put both of the pokemon listed above into the day care
2.keep laying eggs till you find a riolu with blaze kick


You can breed them because there both fighting types

Trade a Forretress for Beldum with Steven. This takes several steps. Step 1: Defeat Red. He will be at Mt. Silver (obviously) Step 2: Obtain a Mudkip, Treeko, or Torchic from Steven at the Silph Co. Step 3: Meet him again at the Pewter Museum. Step 3: He will be at Silph Co. again in Saffron City, offering a Beldum for your Forretress. To obtain a Forretress, you can trade it or train a Pineco. You can find Pinecone by Headbutting trees. The easiest way to train it is to give it an Exp. Share and use a Pokemon that is at least level 50 and train at Mt. Silver. Pineco will evolve at lever 31. Note: Make sure to remove the Exp. Share from the Forretress!

For those of you who didn't get the secret key in platinum, don't fret because if you have a rotom in soul silver youve got all his six forms (including normal). If you bring rotom to silph co in saffron city, Kanto you can activate the elevator with rotoms electricity. when you do it takes you to a room with the fridge, fan etc. Hope this helps!
