Glitch - Sinking Pokemon

by ckjkj Dec 10, 2010

To do this glitch you must have access to Mt Silver and a Pokemon with Headbutt in your party.
Fly to Mt Silver and head right (->) from the Pokemon Center, down the stairs.
Make sure the Pokemon that knows Headbutt is NOT the first in your party, and have your Pokemon stand on the bottom of the stairs, behind you.
Face the tree, open your menu and have your Headbutt Pokemon use Headbutt on the tree. You can't just press A on the tree, you have to open the menu or it won't work.
If you did it correctly, after the Headbutt animation stops your Pokemon should have sunk into the steps. Don't worry, it's not stuck there, just move and it'll pop out like nothing happened.

Secret - Catch pokemon easier (if you don't have a master ball)

by rurAl_cons57 Apr 23, 2010

Things you need:
False swipe
A lot of ultra balls (and other kinds of pokeballs if you want like net balls, quick balls, dusk balls)
A pokemon that has thunder wave, spore, sleep or paralyzing powder, or an ice move that can freeze the foe (or all of these if you like:P)
Revives and full restores!

Ok...Let's say you have a pokemon you want to catch, for example Mewtwo which is lvl 70 (at Cerulean cave). First of all, you need two or three strong pokemon that cannot faint easily from Mewtwo's psycho cut. The rest of its moves are guard swap, power swap(or something like that)and amnesia. Amnesia is really helpful because it makes it harder to make the pokemon faint(and that's what we need actually:).
When you encounter it, use firstly electric or ice type moves to get it's HP low. If it doesn't become paralyzed or frozen, use the powder attacks. These effects make it easier to catch, that's why you need them.
After its HP has becomes red, send out the pokemon that has the move false swipe(i used a Parasect lvl 40 that also had slash, spore and something else:P). Use it until Mewtwo has only 1 HP left. After that you only need a bit of luck! You will need to use up to 10 or 15 pokeballs the most.
I caught Mewtwo, Ho-oh and Suicune easily using 10 or so pokeballs. Well, good luck everyone and i hope i helped a bit:)

P.S.You won't need this secret-hint call it whatever you want, if you have AR but...Well, for those who don't...You will also need a good amount of money but i hope you don't have such a problem:).

Code - Powerful attack combo!!!

by Unregistered Jan 11, 2011

Alright, first you'll need a girl Pikachu holding a light ball And a boy Ampharos with charge. Hatch the egg it should be a pichu with volt tackle & charge. Evolve Pichu to Pikachu & get it to level 100. Dont get rid of charge or volt tackle or evolve pikachu to Raichu or it won't work. have that pikachu hold the light ball. In battle, make pikachu use charge then volt tackle. It will get 2x damage from charge, get increased damage for holding light ball, & 1.5x for using move that's the same type as user.

Secret - Some status hints I know.

by Linnmeow Aug 13, 2010

~Lowering accuracy of a pokemon just before(or while) it is confused makes a higher chance of it hurting itself.

~Lowering speed before burning the foe makes the health go down slightly more.

~Using an X speed (or using a move to higher it's speed) while paralyzed makes less of a chance of not being able to move

Secret - Pokemon Stats

by VvBlackNebulavV Jul 27, 2010

The following is for new players, or players who don't know very much about the game yet.

Each pokemon has a set of 6 different stats
HP - Health
Atk - Attack. Affects the damage done by physical attacks
Def - Defense. Affects resistance to physical attacks
SpA - Special Attack. Affects the damage done by special attacks
SpD - Special Defense. Affects resistance to special attacks
Spe - Speed, affects how fast a pokemon goes, determines who goes first

Each stat has several moves that can bring up the points of the given stat, minus HP, which can be restored using items such as leftovers, black sludge, or shell bell. Black sludge and leftovers restore 1 / 16 HP at the end of each turn. There are also mves such as recover or softboiled that recover HP by half of the maximum HP.

There are six stages of stat boosters, meanig a stat can be raised 6 times. There are moves such as howl that increase a stat by one stage, and there are moves such as swords dance that raise two stages. Effectively doubling the stat affected. Where one stage
raises a stat by 50 %.

A move's damage is affected by the given offensive stat, either SpA or Atk. If the move has a
[img]http://www.serebii.net/pokedex-dp/type/physical.png[img] , then it is a physical attack, but if it has a [img]http://www.serebii.net/pokedex-dp/type/special.png[img] then it is a special attack. Then there are status inducing or other miscellaneous moves that I cannot currently find a picture for, but there are three types, so if you look at the other two i posted, the third category is for the other moves by default.

Now, we will look at STAB. Same Type Attack Bonus. This explains that when moves are used by a pokemon of the same type as the move, the move will have 50 % more power. For example: Lets say a Tyranitar and an Arcanine are attacking the same pokemon, and they both have the same attack. Both pokemon decide to use crunch, when the Tyranitar uses crunch, the move will have 120 Power instead of the same 80 power that the Arcananine's crunch will have. The reason is, Tyranitar is a DARK/Rock type pokemon, and therefore receives a STAB bonus for moves that are either Dark or Rock. If the two pokemon used Fire Fang, then the Arcanine's would have aboutt 97 - 98 power, whereas the Tyranitar's would still have 65 power.

If you have any questions about this Walkthrough, or about anything else pokemon, I will do my best to answer your questions.

Secret - Pokerus - A good virus that helps when training your pokemon

by N03L Feb 22, 2013

(This isn't really a cheat but rather a hint that some game users don't know about.)

Pokerus is a virus that any Pokemon can catch but it is very rare. You can get it by encountering a wild Pokemon that is infected with Pokerus. Yet, the odds of that are extremely slim.

"What does Pokerus do?" Well it doubles the amount of Effort Values (aka "EVs") that you gain in battle. If you want to start EV training your Pokemon, Pokerus definitely comes in handy. It isn't an item. It is more like a status (burn, frozen, paralyzed, etc.) that your Pokemon can catch but it isn't a bad thing and it lasts forever if your pokemon gets it.

"How can I get Pokerus if it is so hard to find?" The best was to get Pokerus without AR codes or cheats, is to go trade Pokemon over Wi-Fi with people from all over the world at the Global Terminal (located in Goldenrod City in SS). If you trade often enough, you're bound to come across a Pokemon with Pokerus.

"How do I know if my Pokemon has Pokerus or not?" If your Pokemon has Pokerus then, on the Trainer Memo info section of your Pokemon, there will be a purple label that says "PKRS". This means that your Pokemon has an infectious case of Pokerus. If you leave your Pokemon that is infected with Pokerus in your party and it becomes midnight, then the Pokerus will become un-infectious which means it is no longer viral and cannot spread to your other Pokemon. Then a symbol will show up on the Trainer Memo info section instead of the purple "PKRS". The symbol is a small orange circle that looks similar to a smiley face. This is how you know that the Pokerus for that Pokemon can no longer be infectious. The effects of the Pokerus will stay the same after it becomes un-infectious (2x the EVs).

"How do I spread Pokerus?" Once you have one Pokemon with an infectious case of Pokerus, then you can spread it to other pokemon. You have to be quick though and not waste any time (remember the Pokerus will not be able to spread after the clock strikes midnight). Take the Pokemon with Pokerus and place it in the first slot of your party. Then go out and battle a few wild Pokemon. Slowly the Pokerus will infect the Pokemon in the second slot of your party, then the third, fourth, fifth, and sixth.

"How do I preserve Pokerus so I can spread it to other Pokemon that I will obtain in the future?" To preserve Pokerus, simply place an infectious Pokerus Pokemon into your PC. This will freeze the Pokerus to the infectious stage for an...
