training spots

My pokemon are all about lvl. 30, i'm in olivine city and can't seem to beat the gym leader, i have a quilava that's super effective but it just cant beat her cuz there weak so i need a good training spot where my pokemon can level up fast

Please help!!!

First off make sure you battle all the trainers from this point in the game.

A lot of people make that mistake and end up being extremely under leveled. Don't use
flame wheel. Flame wheel is offensive and steel types have a good defense. Using a fire
type move thats's special attack should do more damage since her pokemon don't have a lot
of special defense. Save your quilava for stelix so use your other pokemon for her
magnemites. You can train you quilava to be a typhlosion. To evolves. Between lv 32 and 36
(sorry i forget) so with that i think a good place to train would be around whirlpool
islands.
