Secret - Pokeball Capture RateThere's a similar information I posted for Pokemon Sapphire but this time, I'm posting this for Pokemon Black & White. With extra information about new Pokeballs introduced in later Generations. (This does not include Heart-Gold & Soul-Silver Pokeballs because they're exclusive to those games.) And in Generation V, they introduced Critical Capture which acts like landing Critical Hits. (Explained later...) Capture Rate - Wild Pokemon's HP

Unlockable - Where to find Zekrom; ReshiramIf you are playing Pokemon White, you will capture Zekrom, the Black Yang Pokemon. And vise versa; in Pokemon Black, you will capture Reshiram, the White Ying Pokemon. Either one, depending on the version you play, can be found at N's Castle when confronting him. "Make me your ally and we will fight together!" In this case, you will have a easy chance to capture it. All you need to do is use Hypnosis or Sleep Powder and throw a Dusk Ball at it. Congratulations. You caught it in only two turns. Keep in mind that making Pokemon sleep (asides Rest) makes it very effective to capture. |

Unlockable - Unlock More Pokemon BoxesWhen you begin a Pokemon Black or White game and you get to use the PC for the first time, you'll notice that you only get 8 boxes to store Pokemon in. Not a lot, right? Fortunately, you can unlock 16 more boxes for the use of storing Pokemon. To do this, read the following text below.

Easter Egg - Hidden Team Rocket Music
First, go to the Game Freak building in Castelia City. Go up to the 22nd Floor by using the elevator and talk to the blue haired guy as shown in the picture to the left. (Pic from Serebii.net) He will create a drastic change of mood in the room. How? He'll start playing the "Team Rocket Takeover" music from Pokemon Heart Gold and Soul Silver! He even mentions Team Rocket when you talk to him for the second time. |

Secret - Need a Pokemon?Try going on GTS (Global Trade Station). You can search a Pokemon what you want and trade one of your Pokemon in your boxes. Just beware: Most people on GTS are not being very honest, mostly because U.S.A. hacking their Pokemon, making and unfair or impossible deal. Most of us are very tired of seeing kids hacking their game, so look for a Pokemon you seek and check if it's a fair deal to you. You may also offer your Pokemon and tell people what you want. After that, you got to wait. Patience. Beware: If you haven't checked GTS for a long time, you may or may not get your Pokemon for your offer. And do not make ridiculous deals otherwise you will NOT get you want. As well for other low-life offerers. And just a quick note, you have to make your deal in time before someone makes the deal first and it will be too late make a deal now. |

Unlockable - Three OrbsIn order to obtain the Adamant Orb, Lustrous Orb and Griseous Orb you will need to defeated the Elite Four for the first time. After you have completed the game you will now go to Wonder Bridge. Keep going until the Dark Trinity appears. One of each will give you all three of those items. Unlockable - Facing the Strongest TrainersAlder - Unova's Champion and the strongest trainer. He will become available for battle after you beat the game for the first time. Without N and Team Plasma interfering, now this is your chance to face him. But beware, the Elite Four has also gotten much stronger and they added 2 more Pokemon in their party Cynthia - Yes, you can face Cynthia, Sinnoh's Champion. What's she doing here? Investigating. She will become available for battle after you beat the game for the first time. She will be at the house at Undella Town. Remember: she still has her all-mighty Garchomp. You can face her anytime once per day at Spring and Summer only. Sometimes, two of the Elite Four, Shuntal and Caitlin will come to the house where Cynthia is at in Summer.
Game Freak Morimoto - He is the designer of the game and he is a real person who made this game (both Black & White). You will take a notice that his sprite is actually a Veteran Trainer. Be prepared: because you are about to face him with a very high leveled Pokemon. He isn't too hard but he can be tricky with his party. He will become available after you beat the game for the first time. He can be found at Castelia City on 22nd floor. You can face him anytime once per day everyday. Note: The name "Alder" is only part of the name of the user here, Aldermar. Ironic isn't it? |

Secret - Abyssal RuinsIn the Abyssal Ruins, which can be located at the eastern side of Undella Town (where you can battle Cynthia during Spring-time). Now, in order to go there, you are being required to have the following:
Next you may have to follow the guide here. Credits goes to Marriland for the useful map. Now, in Abyssal Ruins, as you first entered it (recommended to start at the lower-left end as you dive), you will notice a faint sound. But you do have a step limit though. The more you traverse long enough, you will be sent back to the surface where you last dived from. What you will find in the Abyssal Ruins are Relic treasures and Arceus' Elemental Plates. Maybe some other items as well. On 1F, you have to go through the path correctly (as shown on the map) or else you will not able to unlock the first block. You can, however, go pick up some loot for your own satisfaction. On 2F, you are being required to use Flash on any of the two blocks (as shown on the map). If you don't have a Pokemon that knows Flash, then collect the loot as you wish. Now, on 3F, at the last block, you are required to use Strength. Again, if you don't have a Pokemon that knows Strength, just collect the loot. And finally, in the center of 4F, you will find a RELIC CROWN! It can be sold for an extremely high price. If you have collected so much Relic items, they are to be sold at the villa in Undella Town to the Black Belt. He will give you a heck lot of cash for them. Unfortunately, there's only one Relic Crown. Enjoy your search in Abyssal Ruins. Edit: Because that the link to the map I was talking about is not there when it was first submitted, please stop being so dramatic and shut up for a moment. The link to the map is here. If it still does not show up, then you will need to go to Marriland's Site for the map. |

Secret - Mono-Type & Dual-Type PokemonMono-Type Pokemon are Pokemon that has a single Type. For example: Typhlosion is a Mono-Type Pokemon. It's base type is, Fire. So it gives a better boost to Fire-Based moves. Its STAB boost is greater than Dual-Type Pokemon because Mono-Type Pokemon are naturally powerful that way. Now, a Dual-Type Pokemon, such as Infernape, is Fire/Fighting. It boosts Fire and Fighting moves but a weaker STAB boost than Mono-Type Pokemon. However, they can still deal inflict greater damage if used right. Now let's move on to why Mono-Type Pokemon are better than Dual-Type Pokemon. You see, certain Pokemon, like Swampert, has only one weakness and that's Grass. But, Pokemon like Scyther has way too many weaknesses. Mono-Type Pokemon usually have 1 or 3 weaknesses and they usually have a better advantage than Dual-Type Pokemon. So, if I were using Typhlosion now, its Eruption (if it has full HP) deals tremendous damage to my opponent. Escavalier would fall in defeat rather easily due to Typhlosion's Type Advantage and better STAB boost. And... Haxorus, is a wonderful Mono-Type Pokemon to have: it will boost Dragon Moves much better than Dragonite. However, they're both pretty powerful so... Anyways, you can use both Mono-Type and Dual-Type Pokemon to your advantage. It's a necessary thing to do, only if you play your part right. By the way, STAB stands for "Same Type Attack Bonus." Mono-Type Pokemon gets *2.0 STAB Boost and Dual-Type gets *1.5 STAB Boost. Remember that now. |

Secret - Premier Ball (Beginners help)Ok, Sadly when I was playing Pokemon White Version I bought 99 Pokeballs. Well this is not a glitch or hack it is just a heads up. Lets say you walk into the Pokemart and you want to buy 45 Pokeballs. Instead of taking the quick way, buy each Pokeball in a group of 10 so you get a 4 premier balls not 1. So just a little heads up, and if you are going to buy 99 Pokeballs do it in groups of 10. Thanks for reading, Hazzard |

Secret - Breeding Pokemon with Dream World AbilitiesA lot people acquire Pokemon with Dream World abilities. But their Natures and Characteristics are not what the people wanted, and so people breed them with a Ditto and discovered after hatching 20 eggs or more, the offspring did not get a Dream World ability. Something is wrong here. According to Serebii and Bulbapedia, you need to do something here:
After you've done that, wait for a while and get the eggs from the daycare man. After hatching a couple of the eggs, you will notice that the offspring will have the inherited Dream World ability from the mother. This method is the only way to acquire an offspring with a Dream World ability. So yes, you cannot leave the Female with the Dream World ability with a Ditto, nor can breed a Male with the Dream World ability with the compatible Female. And finally, there is 60% that the offspring WILL have a Dream World ability inherited. I hope this helped for those who are in need of offspring with Dream World abilities. |

Secret - Half-Price ShopsOk so, you want lots of stuff but haven't got the money for it? Well heres a way to get shops down to half price. First of all, You must have a Friend with another DS and a Pokèmon Black or White Game Card (Or a spare DS and Pokèmon Black or White) Start up both games. Then on the Game that isn't yours, go you the Entralink. Then go onto one of the bridges and wait until both DSs have connected. Then on the Game that isn't yours enter your world. when you enter go to your games Tree (Doesn't exactly look like one but theres a man standing beside the "Tree"). Then press "A" at the tree if your lucky enough there might be a mission that allows you to half the price of shops. Then accept that mission then go to wherever your own game's trainer is. Talk to yourself then Dadadaaaa! Now all Pokèmarts sell everything at half price for 30 minutes.
Special Notes: This Does not work EVERYDAY it only works some days. Some other days have different missions. Also before doing this I highly recommend battling trainers (Maybe the Pokèmon League but bring your strongest Pokèmon when doing that so its quick!) with the Amulet Coin. When I did this I bought: 99 Ultra Balls 99 revives All Three TMs in Icicle City [Possible Spelling Fail] (Thunder, Fire Blast and Blizzard) |

Code - Easy way to train Pokémon at Pokémon LeaguePokémon League digging you in? Having a hard time? Well, there are a few options you can do to get a TON of levels up… 1. Rare Candies (well, duh) 2. Face one of the Pokémon League challenges. There's a chance the trainer you're trying to beat is weak to one of your Pokémon. 3. Try against the Dark-type leader. He... or she... is the easiest of them all, since its Pokémon really aren't that tough. 4. Give a Pokémon a Lucky Egg. And maybe another Pokémon the Exp. Share for extra experience. Trust me, the Lucky Egg can get you up to around almost 2500 EXP each. 5. Or you could train in Victory Road. Hope I helped. -Kirb. |

Secret - Double KO problems? If you think your game is glitched by having two of your Pokemon KO'd at the same turn and you can't switch any of your Pokemon in battle, you need to switch your active Pokemon with the Fainted Pokemon. After you have placed the two active Pokemon in the first two slots, the battle goes on. And I repeat this is NOT a glitch. I hope this helps you if you're having issues with Double or Triple Battles. |

Glitch - Sky Drop GlitchI have just found this interesting information on Bulbapedia (credits goes to them) and it has something to do with the move Sky Drop. Alright, so if your Pokemon knows the move Sky Drop (which are most likely Flying Pokemon, like Braviary for example) and used it, it will swipe the Pokemon away into the air. Now, if your Pokemon (or the opponent) uses the move Gravity, the Pokemon that used Sky Drop cannot finish the move and what's more, the Pokemon that was taken into the air by Sky Drop cannot take action at all. This can only take place in Double or Triple Battles and therefore, Sky Drop is banned for the Random Wi-fi Match. For more details, please have a look at this video here. This information also works for Pokemon Black. |

Alright, on the very edge of your touch screen (or the 4 corners), tap them and the background color will change! There are Green, Pink, Gray, Yellow, Red, Brown, and Orange. The only time you have a Blue background is when you go to the Wi-Fi Battle Videos. |

Secret - Knowing what suits best for PokemonThere are 3 different types of Pokemon in battles. Sweepers, Walls, and Tactical. Sweeper - There are two kinds of sweepers, Physical and Special. A sweeper focuses on KO'ing the foe's Pokemon in one or two hits. So, if I were using a Physical Sweeper, I would only use Physical-based moves to deal some damage. Swords Dance greatly boosts Attack stat, which can be handy to have around. Then again there are others like, Dragon Dance, that boosts Speed and Attack at the same time. Useful if you want a fast Physical Sweeping Dragon-Type Pokemon. A Special Sweeper is the opposite of the Physical Sweeper as it uses Special-based moves. Nasty Plot greatly boosts Sp.Atk, so if I were using an Infernape and Nasty Plot, its Flamethrower will deal more damage than usual. Wall - Again, there are two types, Physical and Special. A Physical Wall takes abuse from Physical-based moves from the opponent. Let's say I have a Probopass with excellent Defense. But wait! It also has excellent Sp.Def as well! Probopass can take as much abuse from either attacks, which also includes its weakness. This is only when Probopass uses Iron Defense to maximum its Defense stat. When it is maxed, Probopass will receive only 3% of damage from the opponent. Now, the only thing that a Wall can counterattack is priority moves such as Toxic, Thunder Wave or Will-O-Wisp. So, if I were still using Probopass, I would like to set up Stealth Rock while I have the chance. Stealth Rock takes out HP depending on the Pokemon's type. So if my opponent sends out Volcarona, its HP will drop to half while Stealth Rock is in play. Rock is supper effective against Bug and Fire. Common knowledge. There is also an HP Wall. An HP Wall is a Pokemon with incredibly high HP, such as Blissey. It cannot handle Physical Abuse as it will faint within seconds. It can take abuse from Special-based damage. Tactical - A Tactical Pokemon are often fast with priority moves, such as Confuse Ray, Stealth Rock, Hypnosis, Roar, and so forth. Tactical Pokemon are Pokemon that can find its way to take out Walls easier. So, in order to take out a Wall, one must either put it to sleep, use either Nasty Plot and strike at full power. This is what people would do with Porygon-Z or Thundurus. Also, a Pokemon with Prankster ability can cut ahead of the opponent and use Taunt to prevent the opponent from using priority moves such as Swords Dance, Iron Defense, Stealth Rock... pretty much all Status-based moves. Tactical... continue → |

Secret - Are Pokemon Genders that important?Yes they do. They greatly effect several things such as evolution, appearances, breeding their own kind as so forth. Many people lack of importance of gender because it truly doesn't matter in game. That's not true, a lot of people are like that, but I can prove how they are wrong... in several different answers. ----- Evolution The only way to get Gallade is to have a Male Kirlia and use a Dawn Stone on it. The only way to get a Froslass is to get a Female Snorunt and use a Dawn Stone on it. Only Female Combee evolves into Vespiquen. Only Male Burmy evolves into Mothim and the Females evolve into Wormadam. There are 5 different Pokemon with specific gender that greatly affects their evolution line. ----- Breeding an offspring & Inheriting Moves Only the Female Pokemon makes the offspring and the Father inherit moves to the offspring. Let's say you want an Elekid to use Ice Punch. You will need a Female Electabuzz and a Male Medicham with Ice Punch learned. Place them in the Daycare and wait. The offspring will be a Level 1 Elekid with Ice Punch. That way, you can have your perfect future Electivire ready for any battles. ----- Breeding an Offspring with Dream World Abilities Similar to the breeding process but this time, only the Mother inherits the Dream World Ability to the offspring. You cannot teach the offspring any move tutor moves from Generation IV. Instead, you can inherit moves to the offspring with the Father. After all, the offspring has 60% of receiving the Dream World ability from the Mother. The Father has to be compatible with the Mother. So which means it cannot be a Ditto. Medicham and Electabuzz are both Human-Shape Pokemon, so they are compatible of breeding. ----- Attract & Cute Charm Many people who use Physical Sweepers don't often use this move because it's either a waste of time or pointless. Well, unfortunately, that's also not true. Many people who use Attract, such as using it on a Female Jolteon or a Female Cinccino, have a greater opportunity of preparing their next attack after using Nasty Plot or Swords Dance twice. Then again they can use attacks that have great advantage against their opponent. However, there is a 50% chance that the Pokemon hit with Attract or got affected by Cute Charm cannot attack. If a Pokemon has Prankster ability and uses Attract, there is a good chance the the opponent's Pokemon will not able to attack for couple of turns. It may be something to worry about but only people... continue → |

Secret - EV TrainingEV Training is short for Effort Value Training. This is essential to your Pokemon if you want to become better in battles. Without EV Training your Pokemon will be easy to sweep. Also, the use of Max Rare Candies does not make your Pokemon stronger as it is the other way around. The first thing you need for EV Training is the chosen Pokemon and the Nature you wanted. Let's say I want to EV Train a Sneasel. There are 6 different EV points you can acquire: HP, Attack, Defense, Sp.Atk, Sp.Def and Speed. Only two stats on the same Pokemon can be maxed. So I want to maximize Sneasel's Attack and Speed stats. Its nature is Adamant, which means that Attack stat is beneficial and the Sp.Atk stat is hindered. Sneasel doesn't have a very good Sp.Atk stat anyway. The maximum EV points for one stat is 255. Remember: 4 EV Points equal one stat point for that Pokemon. But wait! 255 isn't divisible by 4! So, I want want to have Sneasel to get 252 EV Points. Okay, moving onto the battle routine. Route 1 is a perfect place to get Attack EV points without any inference. Lillipup and Patrat both give 1 Attack EV Points. So, let's say my Sneasel beats one Lillipup and gained 1 Attack EV Point from it. So if we beat 252 Lillipups, we get 252 Attack EV Points. Notice that Sneasel's Attack stat is higher than usual. Which means that Sneasel is getting stronger if you EV Train it. However, beating 252 Lillipup is a long process, so let's move on to the next step. Starting with a new Adamant Sneasel, we will give Sneasel a Power Bracer. There are 6 different Power items that gives 4 extra EV Points for that stat. Which means, you will always receive 1 stat points everytime you beat an enemy Pokemon. But here's how the Power items work: When you make a Pokemon hold a Power item, the speed stat in battles is halved, but when you beat a Pokemon, you will still receive EV Points from them plus 4 EV Points from the Power item. Let me demonstrate this: Again, my Adamant Sneasel is holding a Power Bracer and its speed is cut in half. Power Bracer will always give 4 Attack EV Points everytime you beat an enemy Pokemon. So if we beat a Lillipup that way, we'd still get 1 Attack EV Points from it PLUS 4 Attack EV Points from the Power Bracer. That's a total of 5 Attack EV Points! So that means we need to beat 50 Lillipups to get 252 Attack EV points! By 250 Attack EV Points, take off the Power Bracer from Sneasel and beat the last two Lillipups for the last 2 Attack EV Points.... continue → |
