Which power plant are you putting in? oil? coal? Which age are you in? If you put in power
plants that cause pollution, put it AS FAR AWAY from your residential and commerce zones
as possible and don't forget to connect them with power lines otherwise it won't reach.
Remember, in the Asia Development age, European Industrial Age or the American Prosperity
age, electricity can still reach from three tiles away from each building while in the
Global Warming Age, the electricity can reach from five tiles away.

I have put the power pland far away with lines going every 3 tiles but I run out of money
and the my houses are turning blue where the people have left .. and then it says to start
the game over. I have done this 5 times with the same thing happing. Don't know what I am
doing wrong.

go to the main menu and go to options then go to password and type in MONEYBAGS. not
moneybags. MONEYBAGS and then you have max. money (the next city you play or make will
have max money). and put the power plants far away and put power line to a big peice of
the city only once and the electricity will flow through the city.

Put your electricity plants at the edge of the map. Try to make at least 6 plants all
connected together with powerlines. If you have Asia Development Age, put all things you
can trade in the Trade Budget in the budget sheet to 200t on all of them. Try to put your
power lines far away from the houses as possible so then you can make room for more
buildings. If you have European Industrial or American Prosperity, do exactly the same
except for the budget sheet (American Prosperity can't trade and European Industrial makes
your city worse although it gives you money a little money). Money cheat is MONEYBAGS in
caps-lock. It gives you maximum money (99,999,999 bucks).
