How do you complete zone 4 act 2 i keep getting stuck on the spring thingy and can'y go high enough to jump on to the platform

i get up to a part where no matter how hight i try and jump i can never reach to top and it stops me from continuing to the boss. is it just a glitch or am i just doing the wrong thing?

OK this is my first sonic game EVER (except for the olympics) so don't hate me. I cannot get past zone two for sonic or blaze!!! !!! HELP..

I finished both blaze and sonic's storyline will all the chaos and sol emeralds, but i cant unlock super sonic or super blaze. Sure, i didn't do it on the first try, but it should still be unlocked. HELP ME PLEASE!!!!
