First, you need to get past the first level in Big Boo's Haunt. You need to go up the
stairs and go in the first room on the left side. Then you'll be in a rectangle-shaped
room with a space in the middle and you go down the screen and books will be shooting at
you. Get past the books and three books will be sticking out of the shelf. Then go up,
right, and then left, and then there will be a secret passageway. Once you go through the
door, there will be a star, and that's how you get secret of the haunted books star.
