The Golden Compass Chapter 6 Compass Help and Symbols... ANNOYING!PLEASE PLEASE HELP.

I have been on this chapter for weeks now.
I have put in the symbols for the cunning/knowledge/hardwork.
I then get taken to a screen and draw the symbols it shows...but what do these symbols represent?
I then get asked a question, but have no idea what sybols to put in eg-
for ''north to lapland'' or ''stolen'' or ''he has learned, but died'' or ''kids'' or ''apple'' etc etc.
Everytime I make a guess, it says I have got it wrong.
I just want to be passed this stage arrrgh.

Unregistered 0	0 You shouldn't need to enter the second set of symbols. You shouldn't need to enter the second set of symbols - after you trace the first set as shapes on the grid like screen it should take you to a screen where it asks you if you have got it right or not. Answer yes its right and it should take you to a talking screen where you answer the question to Fardar Coram or Lord Faa (I can't remember which). This should move you on. Ive done everything correctly, but after it takes me to trace the symbols on to a grid, it just returns to the comp*! Its bugging me because I cant move tot he next level obviously!
