The Golden Compass Requests 

I can't seem to get into the vent with the insect form in chapter 1. I have activated the lever and opened the vent but the insect will not go thru the vent

need help with the start of chapter 5. i cant seem to stun the monkey as it either kills me or runs off. any advice or help would be really helpful.
