To make the recipe for the Doctor you need to trade something with the chef. It's been a
while, I forget what. You also need to fully upgrade his fire, and your own. And have
purple eggplants (Mrs Weeder will trade you some seeds), and coco***s!

Complete the farmer's story by getting her the mangoes. Get the lime seeds and plant
them. Harvest them as soon as possible. Give the sardine and the lime to the chef.
Offer help, get the materials to craft his fire, and he will give you a pot. Upgrade your
fire and go back to the chef. He will allow you to trade recipes with him. Get the
"Spicy Green Curry" recipe and make it. Then give it to the doctor.
