Introduction/Prolouge [2PROL] ****************************************************************************** **************************************************************************** ~~~Introduction~~~ Ok, I know this game came out 7 years ago, but I thought, if I'm gonna start typing walkthroughs, I might as well practice with older games that I know more about. So that is why I will now type this Walkthrough to the fullest of my not-so-great abilities. So, let's enjoy this Walkthrough made by a beginner^_^. I hope you enjoy reading this as much as I enjoyed making it. For any further questions or concerns, please contact me via E-mail at anthony_morgan_42@hotmail.com. Now let's get this Walkthrough/FAQ started! ~~~Prolouge~~~ Two years have passed since Banjo and Kazooie defeated Gruntilda the witch. Banjo, Kazooie, Mumbo, and Bottles are playing some Poker in Banjo's house. I don't have an F-ing clue where Tooty is. Maybe Kazooie killed her?...Nah! Suddenly they hear something outside and everything starts shaking. Outside, a hole in the side of the mountain emerges. Out comes a giant drill-dozer, driven by Grunty's sister's, Mingella and Blobbelda. They start walking over to where Klungo and the rock are. Mingella casts some magic and the rock disappears. Out of the hole comes the notorious, Gruntilda...except she's a sleleton now. Mumbo was the one who went out to see what caused the earthquake. Unfortunately, Grunty sees our small shaman skeleton-faced man and starts firing blasts of magic at him. However, Grunty's aim is horrible so Mumbo got back to Banjo's house before he got fried. Mumbo started panting as he told everyone about Grunty's return. But, just then, Grunty shot her magic at Banjo's house and it got burned badly. For some reason, when everyone got outside, it was daytime but anyway, after talking a bit more, Kazooie notices that "Goggle boy" is missing. Suddenly, our mole friend walks outside of Banjo's house, covered in ashes. Bottles walks a few steps and then dies in front of everyone. Banjo and Kazooie get the plan of going on another adventure (obviously). And to put it all together, Grunty is freed, Bottles is dead and Banjo's house is destroyed. Banjo and Kazooie get ready for another adventure... **************************************************************************** ****************************************************************************** 3. Character Information [3CHAR] ****************************************************************************** **************************************************************************** ~Banjo~ Banjo is one of the two main characters. He's a kick@$$ bear with a blue backpack, yellow shorts and no shirt...Not much else to say about this bear except that you control him for about...80% of the game. ~Kazooie~ Kazooie, the Red-Crested Breegull is Banjo's best pal but she is always getting them into trouble with her big fat mouth. She insults almost everyone she sees! And shes actually proud of it! She is the other main character and in this game, you actually get to control her when you learn a move from Jamjars. She is played the other 20% of the game. ~Bottles~ Our poor friend, Bottles, is a dead mole in Banjo-Tooie. He is constantly made fun of by Kazooie but they are, for some reason, "friends". He wears glasses and a...uhh..."snazzy" looking checkered shirt. Since Bottles is dead, who the heck is going to teach Banjo and Kazooie new moves? It's time for another member of Bottles' mole family to step up... ~Jamjars~ ...And Jamjars is that family member! Another mole that teaches Banjo and Kazooie new moves, Jamjars is the...errrr...Army member of the family? Anywho and what not, Jamjars is Bottles' brother and he lives in silos and hatches in the ground. If you bring him enough music notes, he'll teach you some cool new moves. Jamjars wears an army suit, black shoes and sunglasses. He also has a stick in his hand...or whatever the heck it is. ~Mumbo Jumbo~ Mumbo is a shaman with a skull on his face. His skin color is pink and he wears something that looks like a nest around his waste to cover his...you-know-what. He also carries a shaman staff around that he uses to cast his shaman-like powers. ~Humba Wumba~ Some people describe her as sexy but I think that's pretty wierd...She wears a yellow dress and yellow shoes. God dang it, what's with her and yellow? She even has a yellow headband. She helps you by transforming Banjo and Kazooie into other creatures and mechanical things. ~King Jingaling~ He's...well...a king! He wears a gold crown and gold clothes. He has a pet named Toots and I don't know what it's supposed to be. King Jingaling is a yellow Jinjo and he rules over all the jinjos in Jinjo Village. Unfortunetly, Grunty, Mingella and Blobbelda went through Jinjo Village with there digging machine thing and scattered the Jinjos around Isle O' Hags. King Jingaling eventually gets turned into a zombie by Grunty. ~Master Jiggywiggy~ Master Jiggywiggy looks sort of like a priest with a jiggy for a head... He's a really weird looking character. However, he does help you by giving information and controlling the Crystal Jiggy which allows you to get into different worlds. He also controls the power of the Jiggies. ~Gruntilda Winkybunion~ Is the boss of the entire game and she and her sisters try to get revenge on Banjo and Kazooie. She is a skeleton in Banjo-Tooie. I think she may be the oldest of the three. ~Mingella~ Mingella is the skinny witch of the the bad sisters. She has green skin and pink hair. She is dressed in all black and she carries a spellbook around with her. ~Blobbelda~ Blobbelda is the shortest and the fattest of the three. She also has green skin but she has moles and orange hair. She carries her pet cat around with her. She is the dumbest of the three...I think... **************************************************************************** ****************************************************************************** 4. Items [4ITEM] ****************************************************************************** **************************************************************************** The following guide is all about items, where they are, what they do and how many are in a level. ~Jiggies~ Jiggies are the most important items in the game and they are small, golden jig-saw puzzle pieces. They allow you to access new levels/worlds. There are 10 per level and they are usually rewarded by doing good deeds or fighting bosses. Sometimes you'll find a Jiggy hidden away somewhere, waiting to be found. ~Musical Note Nests~ Musical Notes are found in all worlds and are the second most important item in the entire game. They are easily found and there are sixteen note nests in an entire level. These nests contain 5 out of 115 notes each. ~~Treble Clef~ Treble Clef's are another kind of musical note except these more rare musical notes give you 25 out of 115 notes per level. Treble Clefs are more hidden than the other notes and there is only 1 in each level. ~Jinjos~ Jinjos are lovable little, colorful creatures who are more than happy to give you a Jiggy. BUT, to get their Jiggies, family members of a certain color have to be rescued (say that you got a Black Jinjo in a level. But there are 9 Black Jinjos all together. Before you get the Jiggy, you must save the other Black Jinjos as well. You understand now, right?...right?...). There are 5 Jinjos in each level and all together, there are 45, I believe. ~Glowbos~ Glowbos are used by Mumbo Jumbo and Humba Wumba to either: 1. Control Mumbo and get to a Mumbo Pad to cast some kind of magic on something or another. 2. Transform Banjo and Kazooie into something (Ex. Washing Machine). Sounds good, yes? Anyway, Glowbos are found close to Mumbo and Humba's homes. There are only 2 per level and they're usually pretty easy to find. ~Cheato Pages~ Cheato returns in Banjo-Tooie. But, for helping Banjo and Kazooie in the first game, Grunty tore out most of poor Cheato's pages. So now, it's up to you, Banjo and Kazooie, to help him get his pages back. For every 5 pages you find, Cheato will reward you with a...well...cheat...how ironic. There are 3 pages per level and are "SORT OF" hidden. ~Empty Honeycomb Pieces~ Just like the regular honeycomb pieces, except that there's nothing in the middle of them! Extra Honeycomb Pieces are given to a big female bee named "Honey B." If you have enough of them at one time, she'll give you an extra health unit in exchange for them. There are 3 per level and are pretty well hidden. ~Egg Nests~ Egg Nests hold a certain amount of a certain type of egg. The normal, or blue eggs are what you start with but eventually, you'll get a whole crapload of them. To learn how to use new eggs, you'll have to find a certain Jamjars' Silo so he can teach you. Egg Nests are scattered through the world of Isle O' Hags and will regenerate after a short period of time. The following shows the names of the eggs and how many you can pick up per nest: Blue/Regular Eggs: 20 Fire Eggs: 10 Grenade Eggs: 10 Ice Eggs: 10 Clockwork Kazooie Egg: 1 ~Feather Nests~ Like the Egg nests, the Feather Nests are scattered everywhere and will regenerate. The 2 kinds of feathers, Red and Golden are both used for the classic Banjo-Kazooie moves. Below states how many feathers you can get per nest: Gold Feather: 2 Red Feather: 20 ~Extra Honeycomb Health Unit~ Honeycombs are used to heal one extra health unit and are usually found in Baddies. However, there are 2 other kinds of Honeycombs in this game. One of them is the Skill Honeycomb which has a "!" in the middle of it. The health units at the top of th screen will start flashing in order. When it flashes at full health, quickly push the A button. The other one is the Mystery Honeycomb. It's like the Skill Honeycomb except it flashes faster and it doesn't flash in order so it's a little trickier to get full health. **************************************************************************** ****************************************************************************** 5. Boots/Shoes and Pads [5SHOE] ****************************************************************************** **************************************************************************** The following explains about the different kinds of Boots/Shoes and Pads. ~Turbo Trainers~ These slick shoes make Kazooie go really fast! You can even run across water with them on! Sounds cool, right? Dang Right! ~Wading Boots~ These rubber boots allow Kazooie to wade across swamps and other areas that you may need them. ~Springy Step Shoes~ The Springy Step shoes are like Shock Spring Pads except you can use it anywhere. Unfortunately, you'll only get one use out of these. You may only get one jump, but, you sure jump high with them (places you can't reach with the Shock Spring move). These shoes are new in Banjo-Tooie. ~Claw Clamber Boots~ Claw Clamber Boots are cool little shoes with suction cups on the bottom of them. They allow Kazooie to walk up walls that have her little Breegull footprints on them. So, if you see Claw Clamber Boots, there must be footprints on the wall somewhere. These work for a limited time so find the wall with the footprints before you put on the Claw Clamber Boots. ~Shock Spring Pads~ Stand on it and press A When you press A on a Shock Spring Pad, then get ready to jump high. It will give you a lot more height than almost every kind of jump in the game (except for the Springy Step Shoes, of course). These pads are green with Kazooie's foot on it. ~Warp Pads~ Stand on it and press B Ever tired of walking everywhere, like, 6 times in Banjo-Kazooie? I was, but now, the Warp Pad is the thing for you! There are Warp Pads in every different section of a level. Press B while standing on a Warp Pad and a list of places will come up on screen. This list consists of Warp Pads that you've already activated. To activate a Warp Pad, just stand on it. Warp Pads have swirly things on them. ~Flight Pads~ Stand on it and press A What do you THINK they do...Fine I'll tell you anyway. Flight Pads have a RED Feather on them and are used for one reason. To fly! Who doesn't like flying through strange and cool worlds? NO ONE!...I think. Anyway, when you use a flight pad, Kazooie will launch herself into the air and begin flying. However, pushing A to get a little height costs you Red Feathers, so always have Red Feathers! ~Split Up Pads~ Stand on one and press B. Press B again to change characters You will need to split up for many things in the game, including some secrets...But I'll explain more on that later. Split Up Pads let you split up (Again, how ironic). There are 2 Split Up Pads in the same pad. 1 has Banjo's face on it and one has Kazooie's. Stand on it and press B. Then, to change between Banjo/Kazooie, press B again on that character's Face Pad. ~Mumbo Pads~ Stand on it and Press B When you play as Mumbo, press B on this Pad to activate his magic powers. From putting trains back on tracks to curing dinosaurs, Mumbo does it all!...Well, a lot anyway...Basically, Mumbo performs magic on something and that's about it. ~Switch~ Jump or walk on them Switces can be used by walking on them or jumping on them. Either way, they'll work. Switches do a lot of stuff but I'll explain that later. ~Jamjars' Silos/Hatches~ Go beside them/Press B by them Jamjars the army mole dude, has silos and hatches all over the place. Silos are like Warp Pads except they are found all around Isle O' Hags. Hatches are used by Jamjars to pop out and teach you his "Advanced" moves. Not much to explain about them. If you need more info, E-mail me at the Address at the top of this Walkthrough. ~Beehives/Evil Beehives~ Break them with any attack Beehives are what you'd want to look for if you need health. Just break one of these open with any attack. Be careful though! There are some normal-looking beehives---until you walk around them! There eyes turn red and they start hopping toward you. Delivering a hit to this guy will destroy it and you'll be rewarded with Honeycomb pieces. **************************************************************************** ****************************************************************************** 6. Banjo & Kazooie's Basic/Normal Moves [6OLD] ****************************************************************************** **************************************************************************** The following moves were learned in Banjo-Kazooie and are not learned from Jamjars. ~Rat-A-Tat Rap~ - Jump and press B An attack that you will use a lot in Banjo-Tooie. Basically, Kazooie pops out of Banjo's backpack and pecks at baddies 3 times. It is more commonly used on flying baddies because you have to jump to perform it. ~Backflip~ - Hold Z, then press A Banjo and Kazooie do a backflip which gives you an extra jumping boost. Use it to get to higher ledges. ~Beak Buster~ - Jump and press Z The Beak Buster is another semi-commonly used move in Banjo-Tooie. Banjo will jump and then he and Kazooie will slam into the ground on there heads. ~Egg Shot out of the mouth~ - Hold Z, then press C Up Definately a common move. When used, Kazooie spits an egg out of her mouth. It is used to hit switches, enemies and more. ~Egg shot out of the @$$~ - Hold Z, then press C Down Same as out of the mouth except Kazooie shoots the egg out of her @$$. ~Talon Trot~ - Hold Z, then press C Left Talon Trot is used a lot in Banjo-Tooie because: 1. It makes you run a bit faster and 2. It lets you run up slopes that you can't normally with Banjo's big bear feet. What happens is that Kazooie pokes her head and her legs out of the top and bottom of the backpack. When she does this, she picks up Banjo on her back and begins running around. ~Flying~ - While on a Flight Pad, press A Flying is used to reach heights you can't get using anything else. All that happens is that Kazooie flies around with Banjo. Commonly used to reach inaccessible places. ~Beak Bomb~ - While flying, press B Beak Bomb is an attack that send Banjo and Kazooie like a bullet through the air and into the ground below. It isn't used commonly. **************************************************************************** ****************************************************************************** 7. Banjo & Kazooie's New/Advanced Moves [7NEW] ****************************************************************************** **************************************************************************** These are the advanced/new moves learned in Banjo-Tooie from Jamjars the mole. I will also tell how many notes you need to get them. They are also listed in the order of how many Music Notes you need for each. ~Egg Aim~ - C Up, control stick to aim, then press Z to shoot Egg Aim is used to actually aim at where you want to shoot your eggs. I always found it difficult to shoot STRAIGHT on Banjo-Kazooie. Anyway, you need 25 Music Notes and you get it in Mayahem Temple. ~Breegul Blaster~ - It will automatically work when you enter certain areas Breegul Blaster allows Banjo to use Kazooie sort of like a gun. So he takes her out of his backpack and holds her like a gun (I think you should of got that). It is used in special places. You need 30 Music Notes and you also learn this in Mayahem Temple. ~Grib Grab~ - Jump on ledges By using this move, you can hang onto ledges. You can also move left and right on the ledge and you can attack by facing either left or right and then pressing B. You need 35 Music Notes and this is the last move you learn in Mayahem Temple ~Fire Eggs~ - Tap R to change Eggs Fire eggs are used mainly to light fires but you can use them to attack as well. You need 45 Music Notes and they are learned in the Overworld, Isle O' Hags. ~Bill Drill~ - Jump in the air and then hold in Z The super cool Bill Drill is a move similar to Beak Buster except Kazooie's bill acts like a drill for this move. The Bill Drill is used to drill through specific things such as boulders, ice and much more. You can learn the Bill Drill for a mere 85 Music Notes in Glitter Gulch Mine. ~Beak Bayonet~ - Press B (When in a Breegul Blaster area) When you are using Breegull Blaster, press B and Kazooie will lunge forward and peck at a baddie or enemy. You need 95 Music Notes and you learn this in Glitter Gulch Mine. ~Grenade Eggs~ - Tap R to change Eggs Using this explosive little Egg does major damage to baddies that get hit with it. It can also be used to blow certain things up. You need 110 Music Notes (Wow! The first 3-digit amount of Notes yet!) and you learn this in the Overworld, Isle O' Hags. ~Pack Whack~ - Press B while playing as just Banjo When you play as Banjo, press B to swing his backpack around at enemies. You can also double jump with it. First, jump into the air and then press B. Banjo will swing his backpack in midair. Then, press Jump again and he will... well...jump again. To learn this, you need 120 Music Notes and you get it in Witchy World. ~Split Up~ - Press the A button on a Split Up Pad Split up is cool move as you get to play as either Banjo OR Kazooie. It is used to get certain things as only Banjo or only Kazooie. You need 160 Music Notes and you get it in Witchy World. ~Airborne Egg Aiming~ - Press C Up while flying It's to shoot from the skies! Airborne Egg Aiming lets you shoot Eggs in the air, while flying! You need 180 Music Notes and you learn it in Witchy World. ~Ice Eggs~ - Tap R button to switch Eggs Ice Eggs are used to freeze enemies and that's pretty much all they do...But they're so cool though! You can also put out fires with them. You need 200 Music Notes and they're found in the Overworld, Isle O' Hags. ~Wing Whack~ - Press B button while playing as Kazooie Kazooie's main attack, Wing Whack, does exactly what the name says. Kazooie spins around with her wings outstretched and she whacks her enemies with them. This move is learned in Jolly Roger's Lagoon and you need 265 Music Notes to get it. That's quite a few more than the last move isn't it? Yeah... unfortunately it is... ~Sub-Aqua Egg Aiming~ - Press C Up to aim and then Z to shoot This attack allows you to actually shoot eggs---Underwater! Now that does sound interesting as you need to go underwater for MOST of Jolly Roger's Lagoon. Kazooie shoots eggs normally, except you're underwater. To get this move, you need 275 Music Notes and it is learned in Jolly Roger's Lagoon. ~Talon Torpedo~ - Press Z when you are swimming underwater For 290 Music Notes, you can learn Talon Torpedo! This allows Kazooie to come out of Banjo's backpack and swim around. You can use this to destroy walls with Kazooie's face on them AND you can use it to get items from the inside of the see-through fish called Seemee in Jolly Roger's Lagoon. There are downsides to this move too, I'm afraid. It uses up to 5 of your precious Red Feathers for each time you use it AND you have a limited amount of time to use it... You can learn this move in Jolly Roger's Lagoon. ~Clockwork Kazooie Eggs~ - Press the R button to change eggs Cockwork...I mean CLOCKwork Kazooie Eggs are a very special type of Egg. When you shoot one and it breaks open, an adorable little robotic Kazooie pops out. But, believe me, you DO NOT want to touch it or go near it for that matter. When it comes in contact with something, it explodes like a Grenade Egg. The good thing is, you get to control it and the controls are basic too! Press A to jump, Control Stick to move and B to detonate. You can also detonate it by running into something. You need 315 Music Notes and it is the last Move you learn in the Overworld, Isle O' Hags. ~Springy Step Shoes~ Get them and then press A to jump I already explained this in the Shoes/Boots and Pads section: The first cool new pair of shoes you can get are the Springy Step Shoes. These shoes allows you to jump amazing heights from anywhere you want---But you have to jump before you run out of time. You need 390 Music Notes and you can get them in Terrydactyland. ~Taxi Pack~ - As just Banjo, hold Z then press C Left Taxi Pack is a cool move as it allows Banjo to carry other people in his blue backpack(you'll see what I mean later). You need 405 Music Notes to get it and you can get this move in Terrydactyland. ~Hatch~ - Stand on top of an Egg, hold Z and press C Left as Kazooie Ever wonder if Kazooie was the kind of bird that can hatch eggs? Well she can! With this move, Kazooie sits on an egg and in a couple of seconds, the egg will hatch (I don't know how it hatches in a couple seconds, though...Maybe she has a Magic @$$?). You need 420 Music Notes to learn this move and it is the last move you learn in Terrydactyland. ~Claw Clamber Boots~ - Get them and run up a wall with Kazooie's footprints I already explained the Claw Clamber Boots but anyway: Claw Clamber Boots are cool little shoes with suction cups on the bottom of them. They allow Kazooie to walk up walls that have her little Breegull footprints on them. So, if you see Claw Clamber Boots, there must be footprints on the wall somewhere. These work for a limited time so find the wall with the footprints before you put on the Claw Clamber Boots. You need 505 Music Notes and you learn to use these in Grunty Industries. ~Snooze Pack~ - As just Banjo, hold Z and press C Right Snooze Pack is used for one reason and one reason only---To snooze, of course! When you execute this move, Banjo takes off his backpack, gets in it and goes to sleep, sort of like in a sleeping bag. When Banjo is sleeping, he heals himself. Not much other use for it though. You need 525 Music Notes and you learn it in Grunty Industries. ~Leg Spring~ - Hold in the Z button and press Press A button as Kazooie Another "high-jump" technique at your hands...errr...feet. Kazooie uses this by herself and it makes her jump higher than the regular backflip jump! She learns this in Grunty Industries and she needs 545 Music Notes. ~Shack Pack~ - As just Banjo, hold Z button and press C Down Banjo does learn his moves, doesn't he? This is Banjo's 3rd out of 4 backpack techniques. This time, Banjo takes off his backpack and puts it over his head, protecting him from burning hot water and poisonous liquids. This also makes Banjo tinier which gives Banjo the oppurtunity to squeeze into small holes that he can't normally fit in. This requires 640 Music Notes and it is learned in Hailfire Peaks. ~Glide~ - When in the air, press Z button as Kazooie Glide allows Kazooie to, obviously, glide through the air. It allows Kazooie to reach places that are far away from her. You need 660 Music Notes and you learn it in Hailfire Peaks. ~Sack Pack~ - As just Banjo, hold Z button and press C Up Ever been in a potato sack race? Well this is basically what Banjo does. He takes off his backpack and jumps in and starts hopping around like in a potato sack! This allows you to hop across things like thorns that would hurt his feet. **************************************************************************** ****************************************************************************** 8. Gameplay Controls [8GAME] ****************************************************************************** **************************************************************************** Alright, before you start that Walkthrough below, you'd better read this if you don't know how to play. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ***CONTROLS ON LAND*** ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Control Stick: Moves Banjo and/or Kazooie around and they can move fast and slow, depending on how hard you tilt the Control Stick. If you lightly tilt it, you'll tip-toe and he'll run if you tilt it hard. You can also walk by tilting it half-way to full tilt. A Button: Banjo and/or Kazooie will Jump. If you press it again in the air, Kazooie will spread her wings and flap them, slowing down your drop-speed. B Button: The Main/Action button in the game. Z Button: When pressed and held, Banjo will crouch/duck. If you hold Z and press A, Banjo and Kazooie will do their Backflip/Flap Flip move. If you hold Z and press B, Banjo and Kazooie will use Beak Barge, a move where Banjo will charge forward with Kazooie like a lance/spear. C Up: It's like getting a look around with Banjo's eyes. B Button: Cancels the talking/reading. Z Button: Talking/Reading speed gets slower. R, L held, press B: Skips most Talking/Reading, even important stuff! But, it does not cancel some stuff... **************************************************************************** ****************************************************************************** 9. Walkthrough/FAQ [9WALK] ****************************************************************************** **************************************************************************** Well, I've spent a lot of time on the Basic Stuff (All of the above info). But now, I'm ready to start the actual Walkthrough part. It took me 4 days to type it all up but I've still got a long way to go. The following explains where to get Jiggies, Empty Honeycomb Pieces, Cheato Pages, Jinjos and Glowbos but I'm not putting where all the Music Notes are. However, there will be either: 1. A seperate section in this walkthrough for Music Notes or... 2. A seperate In-Depth FAQ that I will post one day. I will have one of them though, I can almost 100% guarentee it. Alright, enough chat, here is the Walkthrough: ############################################################################## a.Spiral Mountain ############################################################################## ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Jinjos~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Jinjo #1: Just Look In The Water... To get this Jinjo, you need the move Talon Torpedo, obtained from Level 4, Jolly Roger's Lagoon. Jump into the pool of water near the exit to Isle O' Hags and dive. Around you, should be a wall with Kazooie's face on it. Press Z to activate Talon Torpedo and swim towards the wall while holding Z to break through it, revealing a Jinjo. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Cheato Pages~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Cheato Page #1: Three Steps to the Cave Near Grunty's Lair, you may have noticed 3 stone steps on the ground. Jump up the steps and on the final step, there is a Shock Spring Pad. Press and hold A on it to spring up into a cave where you will find your first and only Cheato Page in Spiral Mountain. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Other Stuff~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Other Stuff #1: Double Air AND Swim Faster To get Double Air and the Faster Swim, you need the move, Bill Drill. In Spiral Mountain, there is a boulder by Banjo's house. Bill Drill it and collect the fish that is underneath. Then, jump into the water anywhere. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Quick Walkthrough~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Alright, to begin the game, Banjo is standing outside by Bottles' corpse on the ground. Run toward the boulder that you can see in front of you. A fish will start talking to you, asking you to remove the boulder because he can't breathe. That is our first task, however, you can not complete it until you get a move from Level 2. Anyway, keep moving forward until the path on the ground splits up. Head right and jump into the hole and get the Eggs. Then, follow the path until you get to the bridge, but do not go on it, get the feathers beside it. Then, go to the rocks that are laying on the ground and jump on the middle one and then do a Flap Flip(Hold Z, press A) to get to the bridge ladder above. Climb up and head into Grunty's old lair and you will find Cheato the Spellbook. Run up to him and he'll tell you that Grunty ripped all his pages out and he would give you a cheat for every 5 pages you bring. Pretty good deal since there are 3 in each level and I'm here to help you. After you talk to him, leave the lair and jump off or climb down the ladder. Take a right on the path and you will be near a broken bridge. From there, you should be able to see the hole that the Digger made. Hop across the broken bridge and head into the cave, leading to your first REAL fight of the game. Boss: Klungo(Minion With A Mission) Place: Inside The Digger Tunnel Klungo is the first Boss of the game and he is really easy. However, you will have to fight him 3 times in this game and he gets harder each time. Basically, he'll use 1 of 3 potions that he's whipped up in his spare time. Below is the list of the 3 potions and how to beat him. They are completely random and will change for each new game. What I mean is that, you could fight the first Klungo battle with Potion #1 but, you could start another game and you could get Potion #2 or #3 in the first Klungo battle. 1. The first potion is a red one and it makes Klungo big, really, really big! Ok, so it's not that big but it's still pretty big. Anyway when he grows, he will stand there for a couple of seconds. Now's your chance! Quickly Rat-a-Tat Rap him in the chest(Jump and press B). After that, he will shrink and a forcefield will come up around him and he will start throwing potions at you. They are easy to dodge as you just have to run away from them. He'll eventually stop throwing and grow big again. Repeat the process until beaten. It takes 3 hits to kill him. 2. The second potion is a green one and it makes Klungo invisible, well...sort of. He turns invisible for a couple of seconds, then you will be able to see him for a second and finally, he will become visible and start throwing potions at you. Beat him by rolling into him as soon as you see him turn invisible. It should roll right into him before he gets anywhere. He will become visible and throw potions at you. Repeat 2 times and he will die. 3. The final and hardest potion is a blue one and it makes clones of Klungo. Klungo will stand in one spot and clones will walk out of Klungo. The final Klungo to move is the real one and if you miss that, the one with the darkest colored labcoat is the real one. When you hit him, he will, again, throw potions at you. Again, repeat 2 more times to beat him. When you beat Klungo, he will run off. Head out the same place he did and you will end up in the game Overworld, Isle O' Hags. ############################################################################## b. Isle O' Hags ############################################################################## Welcome to the main area in the entire game, Isle O' Hags. This is where all the levels are. There are six main areas in Isle O' Hags. They are Jinjo Village, Wooded Hollow, Plateau, Pine Grove, Clifftop and Quagmire. This isn't a level but there are Music Notes, Jinjos, Empty Honeycombs, and Jiggies. Before I start the official Walkthrough of Isle O' Hags that takes you through it, I will first guide you to getting every Jinjo, Jiggy and Empty Honeycomb. I will also tell you how to find Jamjars' Silos and Moves. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~JINJOS~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Jinjo #1: Dead-End Digger Tunnel Go to Wooded Hollow and you will see the Digger tracks on the ground. Follow them into a tunnel to find an easy-to-get Jinjo just waiting there. Jinjo #2: Buried Jinjo Treasure To get the following Jinjo, you need the Bill Drill move, obtained from Level 2, Glitter Gulch Mine. Go to the Plateau and you will see the Diggers' tracks lead you to a hole in the ground. There is also a rock there. Bill Drill(Jump and hold Z) the rock and it will explode, leaving a treasure behind. Collect the Jinjo and be on your way. Jinjo #3: Minjos and Jinjos Go to the Wasteland and on some steps there appears to be 2 Jinjos. However, what you see isn't always what you get. The first one is a Minjo(Evil version of a Jinjo) and the second one is a Jinjo. You can either dodge the Minjo and collect the Jinjo or kill the Minjo and collect the Jinjo. I always pick Option 2 when I play. Hehehe... Jinjo #4: Clifftop Cave To get the following Jinjo, you need the Claw Clamber Boots, obtained from Level 6, Grunty Industries. When you have the Claw Clamber Boots, head to the Clifftop and go across the bridge leading to Hailfire Peaks. Behind this Level Entrance are the Claw Clamber Boots. Strap 'em on and quickly walk over to Jamjars Silo. On the mountain side are footprints. Head up the footprints with the Claw Clamber Boots and you will end up in the Clifftop Cave. Waiting there is a Jinjo to collect. This ends the Jinjo Guide for Isle O' Hags. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Empty Honeycombs~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Empty Honeycomb #1: The only... You're lucky! There is only 1 Empty Honeycomb in the Isle O' Hags. Go to the Plateau and head up to Honey B's Hive but DO NOT go in. Walk around the hive and look behind the legs of the hive. Behind one of them, is the only Empty Honeycomb in the Isle O' Hags. On to the Move locations. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Jamjars' Moves~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Move #1: Fire Eggs Close to the entrance of Glitter Gulch Mine in the Plateau, is a Hatch. Walk up to it and press B to learn your first move in the Isle O' Hags. See the Items Guide for a better description of Fire Eggs. You need 45 Music Notes to learn this move. Move #2: Grenade Eggs The second special Egg to get is the Grenade Egg. You can find it in Pine Grove on the beach-looking place. See the Items Guide for a better description of Grenade Eggs. You need 110 Music Notes to learn this move. Move #3: Ice Eggs The most USELESS Egg you can get is the Ice Egg. All it does is freeze enemies, doesn't even kill them...However, they can put out fires! You can learn this move in the Clifftop area around the Train Station. See the Items Guide for a better description of Ice Eggs. You need 200 Music Notes to learn this move. Move #4: Clockwork Kazooie Eggs The last Special Egg and last move you will learn on Isle O' Hags. Clockwork Kazooie Eggs are used a lot more than others. You can find this move in the Wasteland area. See the Items Guide for a better description of Clockwork Kazooie Eggs. You need 315 Music Notes to learn this move. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Silos~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Silo #1: Jinjo Village The easiest Silo to find is in Jinjo Village and it is close to the entrance leading to Spiral Mountain. It is in the middle of the Jinjo houses. Silo #2: Wooded Hollow Another easy Silo to find is located in Wooded Hollow and is close to Jiggywiggy's Temple. Around the center of Wooded Hollow on the path. Silo #3: Plateau Located on top of dirt in the Plateau. There is no possible way you can miss it as the Plateau is a small area. Silo #4: Pine Grove Just look around this area and you will see it easily. Silo #5: Clifftop Located near Level 4 and 7. Silo #6: Wasteland Located near Level 5 Entrance. Silo #7: Quagmire On a small mound of dirt in the middle of Quagmire. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Glowbos~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Glowbo #1: Mumbo On the roof of the building leading to Hailfire Peaks. Go around to the back of the building and climb up the vine thing. Glowbo #2: Humba's Mega-Glowbo To get the Mega-Glowbo, you will need to go through a series of steps that I will explain later. Probably in a Secrets section, as it IS a Secret. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Quick Walkthrough~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Start by following the Digger's tracks until you get to the Silo in the middle of the Jinjo houses. When you activate your first silo, walk up the hill to the giant golden castle and head inside. You will talk to King Jingaling, the ruler of all Jinjos and he'll tell you to save his people and give you a Jiggy. He'll also open up a door in Bottles' house that leads to Wooded Hollow, your next area. After talking with Jingaling, Banjo will leave but meanwhile...Grunty and her sisters shot the Big-O-Blaster, B.O.B. for short, at Jingaling's castle. It will also show that he has been zombified and he will walk around his, now gray, castle. When you are able to move again, run straight ahead into Bottles' House. When, you're inside, you can run up to Mrs. Bottles and you'll talk to her. After you talk to her, head into the tunnel to the left of her. The tunnel will split into 2 more tunnels. Take the one on the left first and you'll end up in Goggles' room. Talk to him and he'll give you the Amaze-O-Gaze Glasses which Bottles' was working on and finished. They allow you to Zoom In and Zoom Out while in First Person View (Press C Up to get to Banjo's First Person View, then press C Right to Zoom In and C Left to Zoom Out). Now head out of Goggles' Room and into Speccy's Room which is to the right of where the Tunnel split into 2 tunnels. You can talk to Speccy if you want but you can just exit through the hole in the wall. Now that we've entered Wooded Hollow, you might want to look around this small area to get use to your surroundings. Once done, head over to the building with the guy in front that has a Jiggy for a head(???). He will tell you about some unimportant crap and he'll find out if you're worthy or not to enter Jiggywiggy's Temple. He checks if you're worthy by seeing how many Jiggys you have. You only need 1 to get in the first time and you already have 1 so he'll let you enter. Once inside you will automatically walk up to Master Jiggywiggy and talk to him. When you gain control of Banjo again, walk over to the puzzle wall to your right and press B. You will have to put together an easy puzzle in a time limit. Once completed, the Crystal Jiggy in the center of the room will show you where Level 1 is and it will open it. Head outside and into the building right beside Jiggywiggy's Temple. On to Level 1, Mayahem Temple! ############################################################################## c. Mayahem Temple ############################################################################## ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~What to do Checklist~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 1[ ]Open 2 doors with skulls on them 2[ ]Open entrance to the the Code Chamber 3[ ]Break rock with Flight Pad underneath 4[ ]Open the Treasure Chamber 1.Open 2 doors with skulls on them To get this done, you will need to get the Glowbo for Mumbo. It is located in Mumbo's Skull on the first floor. After getting it, head upstairs and talk to Mumbo and play as him. Now leave his Skull as Mumbo and walk down the hill until you see a golden head sticking out of the ground with a Mumbo Pad right in front of it. Use the Mumbo Pad and you will take control of the Golden Goliath(the thing in the ground). As the GG, walk towards the 2 humongous Skull Doors and press B to kick them open. One will open completely and the other will break open a small entrance just for Banjo. Now check off this task on the list and let's do #2. 2.Open entrance to the Code Chamber After opening both Skull Doors with the Golden Goliath(above), take the GG into the giant entrance and head over to the giant stone building with a very small entrance and an entrance Banjo can fit in. Only problem is that it's blocked by a wall. I think you know what to do. One kick to that wall with the GG will break it down. Inside is a wall with letters on the wall. This is where you use Cheato's cheats. There is another way to get these cheats and extra cheats but I'll also explain that in another section. Check off this task and let's do #3. Note: You can also use Grenade Eggs to open the entrance |
