Conker's Bad Fur Day Review :

10 years later = Still Amazing

by pokemonmasterjustin Sep 15, 2011

One of my two all-time favorite games for the Nintendo 64 ( Super Mario 64 being my second ). I got the game when it came out some time in 2001, and still playing today in 2011. The game is just completely original and lasted for a decent amount of time!

Okay Conker, let me talk...

This game was created by RareWare in 2001, and they didn't know that the game would be that much of a success like another popular game they made a few years before: Diddy Kong Racing.

But it turns out the Conker's Bad Fur Day was a success, getting a couple of awards and making it a bestselling game for the Nintendo 64. In fact, they were going to make a sequel to the game said to be released in 2002 or 2003, but for some reason, the game got cut. But then they released Conker: Live and Reloaded in 2004, which is the Conker's Bad Fur Day storyline from the 64, but instead, they remastered it into the Xbox graphics. On top of that, they made a brand new multiplayer storyline, between the SHC and the Tediz, which is also fun to play.

9Story line
I really enjoyed the story line, and definitively original. You play as Conker, a red squirrel, gets drunk at a bar one night, then finds himself far away from his home. He has to overcome a bunch of adventures and crazy characters, and the game ends with quite a shock.
For the N64, I would give it a 9 because its pretty well done for a game created in 2001, its interesting.
The sound's good, except that I've heard some of these sounds before in some other games, movies, and TV shows, so some of the sounds aren't actually original, but I still give it credit.
From playing the single player campaign as Conker or playing against friends or computer players in game-types like Capture The Flag or Deathmatch in multiplayer, the game play has the modes like some Xbox360 games have today!
10Lasting Appeal
Like I said, since 2001... doesn't that say enough about the appeal? A very very very very easy 10!!!
(Out of 10)
