Get a pokemon with Thunder wave. and get a Rapidash with Fire Spin. teach that Rapidash Body slam.

send out your paralyzing pokemon, paralyze your opponent. (if your opponent is Ground type, use a move like body slam).

then send out your Rapidash. have him use fire spin. the opponent will not be able to attack! this is slow but very effective.
