Once you accept the Time Warp Mission and hit the bumpers, when it says to go up launch ramp or hyperspace chute, you can choose either foward or backward in time. If you go up the launch ramp you go foward(Up a rank) and the hyperspace chute makes you go bakcward(down a rank)
