I use Chaos Slayer class often. It's my favorite class. What I find while battling with
others is that they don't exactly know what they are doing. So I'm going to explain how
this class works.
First of all, the Auto. It stacks Chaos Blight which increases the damage (or heal for
Surge Heal) of all damaging skills. Remember that your auto hits up to 3 enemies. Helpful
when farming. If you miss or your enemy dodges twice Chaos Blight will fade.
Then you have Corruption, your first skill. This is a switch and a powerful move. (15
Mana, 5 second cooldown.) Corruption is applied to the user and changes all attacks to
single target attacks. Use this when you don't want to fight multiple enemies at once.
This also can do a lot of damage. It also increases your Crit and Hit chance by 10%. (So
keeping Chaos Blight going is a lot easier)
This is where most people mess up. Enigma, your 2nd skill. It will apply up to 4 different
effects to your enemy. (13 Mana, 4 second cooldown.)
-Anguished: Your enemy will take 50% more damage for 10 seconds.
-Delusion: Your enemy's hit chance is reduced for 10 seconds.
-Impasse: Your enemy's chance to dodge is reduced by 40% for 10 seconds.
-Courageous: Your enemy takes 50% less damage for 10 seconds.
Anguished is your best friend and Courageous is your worst enemy.
Your 3rd skill is Surge. (24 Mana, 17 second cooldown.) It will either apply an HoT (heal
over time)for 6 seconds, or greatly reduce your damage taken for 8 seconds.
Rank 4 passives:
-Enmity: Your Endurance is increased by 25%.
-Ultimate Power: Your attack power is increased by 10%.
Finally, Pandemonium. (30 Mana, 15 second cooldown.) Watch this skill. It does massive
damage, while also evolving any effects that are still active from Enigma.
-Anguished applies Atrophy: Your enemy deals 50% less damage.
-Delusion applies Ataxia: Your enemy's chance to crit is reduced by 40%.
-Impasse applies Numbing: Your enemy's Haste is reduced by 40%.
-Courageous applies Paragon: Your enemy does 500% normal damage.
Paragon is what most people don't understand. So they get confused as to why they die a
lot. This is where I normally have to explain the issue. let start with it's damage.
Pandemonium's damage will increase greatly with stacks of Chaos Blight. The evolved
effects are good but if your enemy has Courageous don't use Pandemonium.
Rank 10 passive: Spell Disruption: All Spell damage taken is reduced by 35%. (As far as I
know this is only useful in PvP.)
Ok so now for my final thought/suggestions.
Chaos Slayer is awesome. Solo, Farming, Group, etc. Keep in mind that unless you are
Corrupted Enigma and Pandemonium hit up to 6 targets at once.
Corruption and Enigma have low cooldown so you can spam them. In order to get the most
damage out of Pandemonium, make sure your enemy has Anguished and not Courageous. Your
high damage has now turned into massive damage. Now if you do accidentally give your enemy
Paragon use Surge. If you get Barrier your enemy will be doing less than twice the normal
damage, if you get Heal you'll take damage and get a lot of health back very quick. If you
are soloing spam Corruption (Lots of damage). Only thing I would say Paragon is good
for...Revenge...or being a total Jackass. I'm a little sadistic so I do it rarely. Anyway,
Use the class, Kick some ass, and have a blast.
