Bad Boys II Q&A

For some reason the cheats on badboy 2 wont work for me, i dont get a start button before the menu, it goes straight to menu

once in the cheat menu and the cheats have got x's next to them and you press right for the cheat to be active by showing the money symbol why don't the cheats actually work in the game, you still have to collect ammo to stock up.
does anyone know why or am ...
