Golden Plate (Of Legacy)
The Golden Plate is known as the best plate in the game when it comes to defenses. At
level 90, when you unlock the uber's full power, it boasts an amazing 55% in all
resistances and 50 blocking in melee and magic and 45 in ranged. But obviously an armor
this good has to have some drawbacks, right? Well you are correct. It has a horrible
attack, and by far the worst of the ubers, with 200% B/R/S. But what this armor is good
for is what makes it so popular. Mages and 100% special rangers will love this armor.
Since it has a horrible attack, they can sit in it and spam spells or use their 100%
special weapons, which are not affected by its attack. Warriors even use this armor, but
very seldom and most of the time its only to heal.
Reign Plate
Out of all the ubers, this armor is by far the most offensive. It has an amazing 470%
Base/350% Random/100% Stat, losing out of all Ubers and Epics only to Asgardian. After
being the most offensive of all ubers, it also has the worst defenses out of the ubers.
This means that you'll use this armor alot less often against those harder monsters,
unless there attacks are either Fire, Energy, or Light, which it has a very good 65% in.
Because of this, I don't recommend getting this as your first uber, but it wouldn't hurt
to get it as a second or third.
Shadow Cloak
This is what I would recommend most get as a first uber. It has a very decent attack, to
start off with. It deals a 400% Base/ 350% Random/200% Stat and has a very fast animation.
Its defenses are also quite good, though not Golden good. It does beat golden in darkness
defense though, having the lowest darkness defense out of all the ubers. Its blocking is
very good with 50 melee and range, but only 35 magic. You can just as easily spam the
attack button with this armor as you can spam spells. You can't go wrong getting this as a
first uber.
Valhallan Plate
The Valhallan Plate is a very good armor for most cases. Its blocking is only average,
except in range where it has 50, but its resistances are good in most cases. Its attack is
also very good with 400% Base/375% Random/300% Stats beating most armors. This higher
stats % makes it less dependent on stats, meaning that if your stats are lower, or spread
out into more spots in the case of hyrbids, you will still do great damage. One thing to
note about the Valhallan Plate though is that its first attack converts melee damage to
range.
Nemesis Plate
The Nemesis Plate is commonly known as "The Jack of All Trades" Uber. Where it gets this
name is from how it performs well in all aspects of an uber armor. It has a 400% base/250%
random/400% stats attack, but has a very slow animation time (8 seconds) and low BtH on
the last two of its four hits. Its defenses are also very good with 65% in half and 75% in
the other half. Blocking is on the downside with 40 all around, but this is probably the
only spot that is low compared to other ubers. This is a viable option for someone's first
uber, especially if they have trouble doing a quest.
Vayu Plate
Here's one plate that is meant for defensive purposes. It has a very weak attack compared
to other ubers, beating only the Golden Plate. So don't get it to serve offensive
purposes. What it does do good in is its resistances (well, most of them) and blocking. 47
in Melee/Range/Magic and only one resistance that breaks 80 makes it very good, and it
won't be affected much by the sweep, since it was made in post sweep standards. It even
does an attack of 50% B/R/S after you drink a potion. Very good armor on the defensive
side.
