How does a skill rise [insert decimal here]%? A. Each percent is divided into 256 experience points. Q. In Chapter Four, my game keeps locking up whenever I click on something!! A. This really isn't a question, but simply turn off the sound Q. In Chapter Five, some of the houses that I click on freeze the game!! A. As with the question above, turn off the sound. ============================================================================== Tricks of the Trade ============================================================================== Gaining HUGE Amounts of Health You should know that for every thirty days you sleep, your Health/Stamina increases. In Highcastle, there is a place, Cutters Gap, when you click on it, it will take six rations away, meaning you slept for six days. Keep doing that until you (phyisically) get tired and your Health/Stamina will skyrocket (depending on how many times you do it). But make sure you have enough rations. Even if you run out, you can't die at a large city such as Highcastle. So if you do run out of rations, you can buy some at the tavern. *WARNING* There is a serious bug related to having 'godly' Health/Stamina. I know that it exists, but I don't yet know what causes it. The Idol of Lassur This is a quest related item, although it doesn't _have_ to be. It is located in the first chest that you see in the second level of the Krondorian Sewers, along with a Sword of Lims-Kragma. It has 8 charges, and each combat use instantly kills ANY enemy. Wind Elementals, Tsurani Spellweavers, Makala, the Brak Nurr, Wyvrens, any enemy that you come across can be 'nullified' by this special item, but at a price: -20% to all skills, and a [100%] Near-Death condition. There is a way to bypass this negative effect, but it involves using the cheat chest. Just stick it in the chest, and take it out whenever you want to use it, and put it back. But you MUST remember to remove it before the end of a chapter or it will be lost forever. The Dragontail Well Version 1.01 Before entering Elevandar, make sure you have as much Fadamor's Formula as you want your strength to be high; each charge is worth 3 points of strength. If you have trouble finding the well, just travel east from the entrance of the Ancient Valheru Ruins. Once you reach the well, you may bookmark if you want, but it doesn't matter. First give all of your Fadamor's Formula to Gorath, then give one charge to Owyn. Click on the well. Repeat as neccessary. Version 1.02 Before entering Elevandar, make sure you have SOME charge(s) of Fadamor's Formula. One is good enough. As with Version 1.01, each charge is worth 3 points of strength. If you have trouble finding the well, just travel east from the entrance of the Ancient Valheru Ruins. Once you reach the well, each successive click will add 3 points of strength to your party's Strength. *WARNING* Strength is capped at 255, so you _may_ want to stop at 200 or so or else when your strength reaches '256' it will revert back to zero. Early Bessy Mauler for Gorath- Depending on how much money you have, there are several ways to do this: 1. 2000 or more Gold Sovereigns- DO NOT sell the Diamonds Minstrel Tammney gives you, yet. Sell them in the Raglam shop to net an additional 60 Gold Sovereigns each. Now you can buy three [75%] Bessy Maulers for 1125 or 1068.8 Gold Sovereigns, AND have money left over for Enchanted Quarrels. Now place the Bessy Mauler in one of the Moredhel Wordlock Chests. In Chapter Six, Teleporting to the Temple of Dala or Temple of Tith is the first thing you do. Now head towards the Moredhel Wordlock Chests in the Northwarden area and pick up your crossbow. 2. NO money- Sell TWO of the Diamonds Minstrel Tammney gives you at the Dencamp shop, then sell the other one at the Raglam shop. You should have roughly 2500 Gold Sovereigns now. The Siege Engines you saw earlier are a motherlode of Crossbows. Pick up a couple of Elven Crossbows, and sell them at Cloth Yard Shot. You _should_ be able to by three Bessy Maulers now. *NOTE* This trick only works in Version 1.01 Guarda Revanches for James and Locklear- There are two ways to do this. The Fife and Laurel Opened- After you get the Exotic Sword and Eliaem's Shell, repair the Exotic Sword. Before you leave, make sure you took the chest with 1600 Gold Sovereigns. Now backtrack your way through Caldara and the Mac Mordain Cadal and enter Dimwood. Sell the Guarda Revanche at The Fife and Laurel for 900 Gold Sovereigns, then buy it back. It will cost 3000(!!!) Gold Sovereigns to buy it back, or if your Haggling Skill is up to it, you can minimize the cost to _only_ 1500(!) Gold Sovereigns. If you have enough Gold on Owyn and Gorath, you can buy two more and put them into a Moredhel Wordlock chest, but if you decide to do so, do NOT put them in the LOGS, SNOWFLAKE, or SURF chests, because the contents will change in Chapter Seven. The Fife and Laurel NOT Open- So get the Guarda Revanche, the 1600 Gold Sovereigns, and leave the forest. Now head towards Sethanon, and enter Nia's Goods. Sell the Guarda Revanche for 1060 GOld Sovereigns, and buy THREE for 2000(!!) Gold Sovereigns each or if Owyn is good enough of a haggler, 1600(!) Gold Sovereigns each. Now place them in any Moredhel Wordlock Chest except for LOGS, SNOWFLAKE, or SURF, because everything in them will be different at the start of Chapter Seven. ¯"'-.,.-'"¯"'-.,.-'"¯"'-.,.-'"¯"'-. SPELLS ,.-'"¯"'-.,.-'"¯"'-.,.-'"¯"'-.,.-'" EYES OF ISHAP THE UNSEEN UNION NACRE CICATRIX The above spells can be 'used' without losing any Health/Stamina points. This is done by bookmarking, casting the spell, recording the results, then restore the bookmark. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ MONEY MAKING ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Poisoned Quarrel Resale- First, find some Quarrels. Just some ordinary quarrels. Poison them using the Silver Spider or Silverthorn and sell them. This is best done in Nia's Goods (Chapter Two+) or in Rommney (Chapter Three). Plague House- There is a plagued house near the Temple of Lims-Kragma. If you enter it, you will get 34 Gold Sovereigns and plagued. But the thing is, you can re-enter the house and collect the money again! Barding/Gambling Loop- This scheme can be performed where ever there is a gambler in an inn and a lute to bard on. Once you enter such a tavern, bard. Then gamble the maximum until you lose. Now you can bard again!! Broken Crossbow- Whenever you get a broken crossbow, do you just re-string it? Bad choice. First, get a BROKEN Elven Crossbow. You may use a Tsurani Heavy or Light Crossbow, but you will get less profit. Once you have broken the crossbow, sell it at a store that has bowstrings. Buy back some crossbows, and some bowstrings, then re-string the crossbows and sell them. Rubies to Diamonds (Version 1.01)- There is an inventor in Prank's Stone who can convert rubies to Diamonds. These Diamonds are very poor, though [2%]. In Chapter One, there is a sidequest which requires you to recover Makala's Ruby which has been stolen. It is just a poor [1%] Ruby, but there is a catch. First, sill it in the LaMut store. Now buy TWO back. Return one of them to the garrison to get your reward, and keep the other one. Next, make sure that all the enemies in the Prank's Stone/Rommney area are gone. Now DROP all your possesions EXCEPT that [1%] Ruby into a bag. This may be risky, but if your bag contains a spynote, it is safe. Now go into Rommney carying that [1%] Ruby Sell it, then buy back 60(!!!) of them. Go to Prank's Stone, convert them all into Diamonds, and sell them in the Prank's Stone shop. Limm's Picklocks- Limm's picklocks are the cheapest in the game. You can buy 12 Picklocks for 25 Gold Sovereigns. The best place to sell them is in Nia's Goods (Chapter 2+) for a profit of 30.6 Gold Sovereigns. .,.-'"¯"'-.,.-'"¯"'-.,.-'"¯"'-. THE GUILD WAR ,.-'"¯"'-.,.-'"¯"'-.,.-'"¯"'-.,. The following tricks are for Chapter Three only. Poisoned Quarrel Resale- Just as above, but you would have the Silver Spider now, so this will be easier and less expensive. Greatsword Repairing- If you have visited the Temple of Dala or thr Temple of Tith in Chapter One or Two, this will be MUCH easier. First, go to the Temple of Banath and teleport to one of the earlier mentioned temple. Now head towards The Arms of Dala in Wolfram. Buy as many Greatswords as you can (haggling can minimize the cost to 240 Gold Sovereigns), and have Gorath repair them, and sell them in Rommney. A [100%] Greatsword will net you a profit of 348 Gold Sovereigns. Broken Crossbow- Just like above. Rubies to Diamonds- Just like above, but stop by a Nia's Goods (assuming you have solved her quest) instead of Rommney, and sell and buy the Diamonds there. ============================================================================== Walkthrough ============================================================================== In this section, there will be walkthroughs. They will be as such: Overview, Walkthrough, Sidequests, Goals. I've tried to make the walkthroughs so that they will guide you to your destination while still giving you room to explore. I've given what I think is the best route for an average skilled player in the walkthroughs, and as well, I've included the sidequests that I think are worthwhile doing within the walkthrough; those and the other sidequests are listed at the bottom of each walkthrough. GENERAL HINTS Remember to click on every chest, stump, body, etc. you see. Bookmark before opening any chest. *NOTE* The sidequests which are listed for multiple chapters are ones that can be carried over from an earlier chapter, if you havent already completed the quest. The numbers next to each quest are the Chapters you can do the quest. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ CHAPTER 1: INTO A DARK NIGHT ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ OVERVIEW- This is a basic chapter, having you go from Point A to Point B, although that is the absolute WORST way to go, mainly because this is an RPG game, which means that you should explore as much as possible. WALKTHROUGH Yabon to Tyr-Sog- Head toward the main road, and you will see a dialogue. Once that is done, go north to Yabon. Once you get there, knock on the doors to see what is inside each house. At the Crossroads, buy a Whetstone and an Armorer's Hammer. You should always repair your weapons and armor before selling them to get more money. Get back on the main road and have your first combat. Continue towards Tyr-Sog, and see that there is a path going off to the right. The path leads to a Brother Jeremy's house. Talk to him, and you will initiate a quest. If you solve it, he will give you Thiful's Bird Migrations, which will increase _all_ your skills by 5%. Keep going toward Tyr-Sog, picking up any items you find so you can sell them, and finally arrive at Tyr-Sog. Pick up a Practice Lute and a Shovel. Tyr-Sog to Temple of Dala- This is purely optional, but is highly recomended. you will fight two battles of six Moredhel Warriors, but that is all. Make sure you explore the area as there are some chests which have some neat items. Temple of Dala to Hawks Hallow- Head towards Tyr-Sog, then turn south at the crossroads. Stop by the Temple of Ishap, then continue south. You'll discover a trap, but it is fairly simple. Once you get to Hawks Hallow, make sure you knock on every door, as you'd do at every town. Hawks Hallow to LaMut- Head west, stopping by the Temple of Killan, then go north. A couple of quests can be initiated here, so feel free to do them. LaMut to Sarth- This road is very dull, although there are many chests along the way, so make sure that you explore carefully. Sarth- Make sure that if you don't already have it, get the spell, SKIN OF THE DRAGON. You may also opt to explore the mines. The TRADE MARES chest down there is particularly valuable at this stage of the game. Sarth to Krondor- Make sure that you stop by the cornfield and meet Brother Marc. You can buy spells from him and sell them for a profit at Stardock Annex, the shop in Sarth. Krondor Sewers- Go straight pass the croassroads, then keep moving until you have the option to turn right. When you do, do it. Then take a left to fight some false Nighthawks. Now take a right and you will meet James. To get to the grate, go back into the room where you fought the Nighthawks, and go east. Continue going in that direction until you reach a pit. Jump over and follow the corridor to the grate. *SPECIAL NOTE* Before you click on the grate, make sure Locklear has selected the skills that you _really_ want him to improve on. (1, 2, 3)Witch Wilindi's Quest- Unpoioson the well next to Witch Wilindi's hut with Silverthorn Anti-Venom. Reward- [28] Lewton's Concentrate. GOALS Owyn's barding _should_ be at 100% by now. Owyn's casting _should_ be at 80% by now. You should have Medium Crossbows or better for Locklear and Gorath. You should have Two-Handed Broadswords or better for Locklear and Gorath. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ CHAPTER 2: SHWDOW OF THE NIGHTHAWKS ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ OVERVIEW- In this chapter, all you have to do is get to Romney and go enter the inn, but first you need a Glazers Guild Seal. There are plenty of sidequests in this chapter, and a few of them have nice rewards so I advise you to not go from point A to point B to point C. Krondor to Sarth- Well this is purely optional, but you should have a talk with Brother Marc again to buy some more spells from him. Sarth to Darkmoor- Nothing special here. Darkmoor towards Sethanon- This is only if you want to perform Nia's Quest, which you should, because her shop is the best in the game, AND you get a 'free' Galon Griefmaker. If you don't want to, you'll still have to obtain a Glazer's Guild Seal from Max Feeber's Barn, which is in the area. Sethanon to Romney- Just head towards Romney, but DO NOT miss 'THE FETTERS OF RIME' SIDEQUESTS (2, 3)Grain Quest- Bring a Bag of Gran to the Temple of Dala. Gorath's and James' Melee _should_ be 60% All your characters' Defense _should_ be 70% ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~CHAPTER 3: THE SPYGLASS AND THE SPIDER~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ OVERVIEW- This is the first chapter where you actually have to perform many tasks, but you don't really have to travel that much here. One other thing is that this is the first chapter in which you will have to test your combat skills. Romney to Prank's Stone- Once you get to Prank's Stone, learn what Mortification of the Flesh is. Prank's Stone to Cavall Keep- In Cavall Keep, talk to Ugyne until you get the SWORD keyword. Cavall Keep to Kenting Rush- just before you enter Kenting Rush, you will see a well beside the road. If you have a Virtue Key, you can get the Knight's Piece. You must get the Knight's Piece in order to finish the chapter. Kenting Rush- Go to the temple and perform Mortification of the Flesh (put all your rations in a bag and sleep until starved). Then talk to the Priest. Now go to the Prelate's House (the one surrounded by guards), and talk to him. Now find Navon du Sandau and select KAHOOLI, then EXCOMMUNICATE. Then you will fight him. (3, 6, 7)Craig's Quest- Find Craig's traps and return them to Craig. Reward- The Fife and Laurel will be open. GOALS Owyn's Casting _should_ be at 100% You should have at least two suits of Dragon Plate Armor. You should have Greatswords for Gorath and James. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~CHAPTER 4: ESCAPE FROM THE NORTHLANDS~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ *NOTE* You can finish the chapter by going straight to the Inclindel Pass, then use Dragon's Breath to sneak past the bridge guards. You will miss most of the story, however. OVERVIEW- Your first time in the Northlands. You should get accustomed to 'living' in the dungeon at the beginning because you will be exposed to that condition in a later chapter. This chapter will test your survival skills. Sar-Sargoth Dungeon- Get out! But make sure you find the 'EVIL SEEK' Scroll in the dungeon before you leave. There are other such treasures in the Dungeon, but there are also a limited supply of rations and restoratives. Sar-Sargoth to Nalar's Rib(Optional)- Search the body in Sar-Sargoth for the Emerald and the spynote, then head south. Find Nalar's Rib and click on it. Make sure you keep the spynote in your inventory until you activate Nalar's Rib(if you choose to activate it). Sar-Sargoth(Nalar's Rib) to Armengar- Just after you leave Sar-Sargoth, there will be a path off to the right. Drink form the well on that path, the search the tent at the end of the path. While travelling along this road, make sure you get off the road before approaching Harlech. If you don't, you will engage in an endless combat. After you pass Harlech, feel free to get back onto the road. Naphtha Mines(Optional)- Armengar to Cullich's House- If you rescued Obkhar, you should know where to go. If not, Go ease all the way to Caern, remembering to avoid Harlech, the walk along the road all the way to the eastern bridge. When you reach it, turn around. IF you walk straight, you will see a mountain. walk around the left of it, then go straight. Cullich's House to the Inclindel Pass- Go there and talk to the bridge guards, then go back to Harlech. The Inclindel Pass to Harlech- You know the way. Once you reach Harlech(but before you go in), cast AND THE LIGHT SHALL LIE. Knock on Moraeulf's door. Get the password from him, then head towards the Inclindel Pass. Harlech to the Inclindel Pass- Now that you have the password, you can now cross the Inclindel Pass without fighting the guards. SIDEQUESTS Rescur Obkhar from the Naphtha Mines- Reward- 200 Gold Sovereigns and the location of Cullich's house. *NOTE* Although rescuing Obkhar furthers the story, it is not essential to completing the chapter. GOALS None ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~CHAPTER 5: WHEN RIVERS RUN BLOOD~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ *NOTE* Upon entering Chapter Five, all of James' and Locklear's skills will have increased by 10 points, more if you have them selected. North to Northwarden- You will encounter three difficult combats before you reach Northwarden. First you will bump into three Goblins, a Mordehel Spellcaster, and a Witch Hag . The second group of enemies is composed of two Moredhel Spellcasters, a Witch Hag, and two Sentinel Ogres , and the third one of two Moredhel Spellcasters, and three Sentinel Ogres. Make sure to bookmark! Northwarden- Talk to Baron Gabot, and pick up some Coltari Poison from the shop. Northwarden to Duke Martin- Nothing on this road. Duke Martin is south of Northwarden. Find the nearby chests and leave ONLY [1] Poisoned Rations in each chest. Keep the extras. Return to Duke Martin afterwards. Duke Martin to Dencamp on the Teeth- Minstrel Tamney is hiding inside a barn east of Dencamp. If your strength is less than 30, buy some Fadamor's Formula fron the Dencamp Store. Dencamp on the Teeth to Diviner's Halls- Find the Geomancy Stones, but there are some nice chests in Diviner's Halls so don't miss those. Diviner's Halls to Dencamp on the Teeth- If you find Ministrel Tammney again, he will give you three [100%] Diamonds. You can sell these for 1425 Gold Sovereigns in the Dencamp shop. You may spend as much as you need, but I'd advise you don't use any. However, if you do decide to spend, make sure you have 2000 Gold Sovereigns after making your purchases. Dencamp on the Teeth to Duke Martin- Talk to Duke Martin again. Duke Martin to Raglam- To pass into the Northlands, you will need to pay some Goblins 2000 Gold Sovereigns. On your way, you will run into eight Siege Engines. Pick up all the crossbows, but leave the weapons and armor for now. Note the position of the catapult as you walk past. *NOTE* If you sell ALL the Crossbows at the Raglam Shop, you will make 2280.5 Gold Sovereigns. Raglam- In order to get the Catapult Gear, you must get Patrus' Barding skill LESS than 40%. This can be achieved by getting drunk at the tavern. Then go south along the eastern mountain range until you meet with Duke Martin. Go south along the mountain range until you come to a river. You will find four Moredhel Wordlock chests and another two to the east. You should now squeeze through the small mountain and the river. At the southern tip of the small mountain, you will once again meet Obkhar. Now head towards the bridge in the southwest. Now follow the river to the east. You will now meet Moraeulf (again). Now cross the east bridge, if you need some extra rations. Unless you haven't done so already, your first job is to kill the three Pantathians in the north east corner of this area. Now head to the southwest corner of Dimwood, and find the VICTORY chest. Now head north and find Squire Philip's (Witch Wilindi's) house. After you get the Waani, you may now freely take any of the items in Witch Wilindi's house, and there are a LOT of them. SIDEQUESTS (3, 6, 7)Craig's Quest- Find Craig's traps and return them to Craig. Reward- The Fife and Laurel will be open. Goals None ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ CHAPTER 8: OF LANDS AFAR ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ *NOTE* I will _try_ to give you a detailed walkthrogh of this area so you can find all the Raw Manna that you need. Unless of course you're fine with your Owyn doing 30-40 damage with his staff, which he should be. Northwest of where you start, you will find a house. Inside is Pug's first note. Now if you head south, you will run into a battle. Afterwards, search the yellow stalks for Raw Manna. Now head north. After the first battle you face, enter the house to your right. A Crystal Staff! If you head north one more time, you will engage in another combat. After that, head east. Pick up the map of Timirianya in one of the houses. Head north. A house in this area contains [25] Raw Manna. Now head east. When you spot a path to the north, take it. Enter the house to your right, take the note, and continue north. The Pillars of Karzeen Mauk NORTH 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 1- Information 2- Lose up to 14 Health/Stamina 3- Your Defense skill will rise 10% 4- Your Strength will rise by 10 points 5- Nothing 6- Your Assesment skill will rise 15% 7- Dhatsavan gives you information on freeing Pug *TIP* Touch pillars 3, 4, and 6 after rescuing Pug so Pug can gain some of the skills. Now head to the southeast corner of this world. Grab the cup in the house, then return to Pillar 7 (Dhatsavan). You will now be teleported to Pug's house. Use the Cup of Rlnn-Skrr to transfer Owyn's spells to Pug. Now head to the southwest corner and locate the two dirt mounds. The quickest way to your destination is as follows: Left Left Right Now to beat the Wind Elementals, you must use the spell, STRENGTH DRAIN. There are multiple ways to finish this combat, and are as follows (provided you have already killed the two Pantathians) : 1. Use STRENGTH DRAIN on the left Wind Elemental at a cost of seventeen. The next round, have Owyn (Pug) cast STRENGTH DRAIN at a cost of 20 (19). Then have Pug (Owyn) cast it at a cost of 9 (10). 2. As you should know, you can kill the one on the left with only one casting. If you select and use Infinity Pool, and cast it at the full cost. 3. Use the Idol of Lassur. *NOTE* The last two methods do NOT require you to have rescued Pug. SIDEQUESTS None GOALS None ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~CHAPTER 9: MAD GOD'S RAGE~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ *NOTES* Don't bother picking up any gems, weapons, or armor. They will just clutter up your inventory. Weapon/Armor modifiers are extremely valuable, as well as Restoratives, Rations, Whetstones, Armorer's Hammers etc. MAKE SURE YOU ALYAWS HAVE SOME ROPE ON YOU!!! Otherwise you _may_ get stuck. Upper Level- In the first room, kill the Goblins and Beasthounds, then pick up the Ward of Ralen-Sheb, the Armorer's Hammer, and the rope (version dependant). Now head through the north door. You will face a Cave Giant and four Beasthounds. Not too far away, there will be three Moredhels Fighters and one Moredhel Spellcaster. If your Lockpicking Skill is greater than 63%, you may deactivate this TRAPPED chest in front of you. Now keep going straight until you hit a north-south corridor. Go south. Three Moredhels Fighters and two Beasthounds await you. IF you don't already have one, one of the Moredhel Fighters have a Virtue Key. Keep going south, then turn west to fight five Moredhel Fighters. Now go south and find two Cave Giants. The LOCKED chest here has some nice stuff( version dependant). Now head all the way north, open the door, and open the PIPE chest. Now make your way to the lower level. Lower level- Remember, ALL DOORS CAN BE OPENED BY THE WARD OF RALEN-SHEB. First, pick up the PLOW and BULL chests. Now go straight heading into a Wind Elemental. Now keep going straight until you face the first Tsurani Spellweaver. Now grab the STAKE and BOOK chests. The [100%] Dragon Plate Armor Bless#3 is particually valuable in version 1.02. Exit this Room and find three Bulldrake Wyvrens to the south. After crossing the pit and finding the second Tsurani Spellweaver, going west will yield the DEATH chest. If you go south again, and follow the corridor, you will come across two TRAPPED chests. Trapped Chest (E) Skill > 77, Damage 250(!!) [100%] Elven Armor Bless#2 [24] Restoratives [12] Herbal Pack [10] Ring of Prandur [3] Glory Hand [2] Truesight Tea Not too impressive? Try this one: Trapped Chest (W) Skill > 91(!), Damage 200(!) Version 1.01 [50] Staff of Macros Version 1.02 [50] Staff of Macros FIRESTORM(!) *NOTE* If Gorath has 201 or more Health/Stamina, but no one in your party has a Lockpicking Skill of 92% or higher, you can still open the chest, although both Pug and Owyn will be 100% Near-Death and Gorath will only have 1 Health! After that's done, head north to fight two Grandsire Wyvrens and check the PROMISE chest. Now go east and turn south when you have the chance. The third Tsurani Spellweaver! After that, go east, follow the corridor north, and turn west when you get the chance. If you don't already have UNFORTUNATE FLUX and WINDS OF EORTIS, you need not worry about this chest. now head north along the path you passed. A Servitor of Lims-Kragma will greet you. It is no pushover. Health 160 Stamina 100 Strength 75 Speed 2 Melee 95 Defense 80 The nearby chest isn't too interesting. Now head north and turn east. There will be three Hachling Wyvrens, and a body. Now head north to fight yet another Tsurani Spellweaver. After mopping the floor with it, go south, but before the pit, turn east. Guess what you'll find here. Go south, although the TRAPPED chest here isn't too interesting, you may want to open it. After that, keep going along this corridor and fight, you guessed it, the final Tsurani Spellweaver. Make your way to the upper level. The Final Battle- Head south, turn east, go north. Go east again at the second passage. If all went well, you should meet two Cave Giants and two Beasthounds. Now before you go any further, make sure that Pug and Owyn are at full strength, then throw all your junk on the ground; rations, herbal packs, Weapon/Armor modifiers, and make sure your two spellcasters are carying Restoratives, Potions, any combat items(Infinity Pool, Eliaem's Heart, etc.). Have Gorath not carying any restoratives. Now head towards the Lifestone chamber. You will now once again meet the Oracle of the Aal. Gorath will stay behind to guard it as your two magicians take on Makala himself. After all the talking, and you are in a corner, SAVE. There are three chests back in the chamber before the Lifestone Chamber, but they have nothing too valuable. Use all your potions, then fight!! But dont worry, there are many tricks to defeat him( and his Dreads). 1. Use the Idol of Lassur on him. In Chapter Six, when you get it, place it in the cheat chest(code is below). Take it out before you end the chapter, and give it to Gorath(or Owyn). In chapter eight, do the same thing. But in chapter nine, you can wait until you're face to face with Makala himself before you take it out. Once the battle begins use it on him. Bye bye!! 2. First use 'The Fetters of Rime' on him. then place three Gambits of the Eight BEHIND him. Now have Pug (or Owyn) go in front of him and use Winds of Eortis on him. It's like walking through a mine field! Below is a diagram, in case you dont understand. P- Pug M- Makala 8- Gambit of the Eight |P| | |M|8|8|8| 3. Use the Horn of Agloon Kohoon first so Makala will have to move away from the dogs to cast spells. 4. Use River Song to summon Rusulki's to attack Makala. But no matter what you do, it is absoutly CRUCIAL that you cast 'Skin of the Dragon' as soon as possible. First you need anything other than a bag to store items in (Haseth's body for example). His body can only hold four items, right? So lets put two sets of armor, some lockpicks and ONE restorative on him. Now give Oywn one and only one restorative. Have him put it on Haseth's body and it will ask how many you want to put on him.
