Serious Dieting
As already suggested, fish & grain only...But there's a lot more to teaching good eating
habits to your Creature. If your Creature is Greedy (check his stats in the Temple's
Creature Cave), he *wants* to eat before he's really hungry; This has an effect on how
often he eats normally. You should try to train him (by petting or slapping *gently* to
about 10% or 20% Good Boy/Bad Boy), when he eats right. The real key to knowing *when* &
how much to feed your Creature centers on his Energy level; If he feeds when Energy is
still above 50%, he'll gain weight & tend to get more Greedy, but if you make him wait
until Energy is *under* 50%, he won't gain weight. Energy at 50% is the "benchmark" to go
by...if you want him to lose weight, feed him small amounts of fish & grain when his
Energy is about 45%. Let him eat only a small amount, pause the game & check his Energy
level; If it gets above 50%, come back & immediately lead him away from eating more. The
trick is to train him to get hungry enough to hunt & eat on his own when he's only a
little *under* 50% Energy & eat only only once. Reward him slightly a few times only when
he's done it right & good eating habits will be ingrained in his memory.
Another point is to make sure your Creature retains *some* fat, but not a lot. Fat acts as
"cushion" against damage in a fight & gives him "reserve energy" for casting miracles. A
few points *below* 30% Fat is best; Less fat & he has no reserves to draw on until he
eats...More than 30% & he slows down & tends to get lazy.
