"We've been here and done that. Modern Warfare 2 surely fails to beat it's predecessor (Call of Duty 4)." Modern Warfare 2 has been a success, in sales at least, but is it really that good? It's hated and also loved but still... many play it. I hoped it was going to be better than Call of Duty 4, the revolutionary game that changed the FPS genre forever, but it fails to meet my expectations. If you loved COD 4 you'd probably agree and probably already know my view... |

For this game to live up to its own hype it would need to have a solid gold box with the cover art drawn by the pope. (note it does not) It is a more of less complete copy of mw1 with the new modes only being there to lure people in. this game is incredibly glitchy online with half the people playing it exploiting glitches making some matches irritating enough to gouge out your own eyes. the story mode abandons all realism roundabout the 2nd mission and just gets more and more unbelievable... |

First, let's start off with the campaign. After taking a short tutorial, you are thrown into a course where what difficulty you are advised to play at is recommended. After selecting your difficulty and going through a short cutscene, you are immediately put into a combat situation. The combat in this game is fluent, you simply aim and shoot. Most AI's die in 1-2 shots regardless of the difficulty, which is disappointing. The environments vary greatly, and never get boring. One mission... |

Modern Warfare 2 is Infinity Ward's first person shooter set in modern times with very entertaining gameplay. Although it doesn't compare to Call of Duty 4 it is still a very good game.
