I'd advise you don't get pokemon games, they are just a milked series and every game is exactly the same(go here, get a pokemon, battle a pokemon, train pokemon).

But for a console I'd say you should either get a PS3 or Xbox 360. If you want a really high-tech console that offers free online and an upcoming good selection of games get a PS3. If you want a console that offers the best online service available and also offers many options and a BUNCH of good games get Xbox 360. the reason I would advise NOT to get a Wii is because 90% of it's games su ck, it has the worst online, it's VERY casual and gets boring pretty quick (unless you have a few people to play with). Now onto games...

Games you can get if you get an Xbox 360:

Fallout 3

Far Cry 2

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

Forza Motorsport 3

And many others....(Of course, you should also get Xbox Live it's better than PSN and Wii's online service.)

For PS3:

Pretty much the same, it just depends on what you like. For example, if you like shooters get GTA IV or MW 2 or if you like family games, get Little Big Planet.

I doubt they have a small amount of them. NSMBW was unveiled at E3 2009 or something, meaning gigantic advertisement. It appeals to casual and hardcore gamers alike, so a large amount of sales would be understandable.

My PSP is dead too because of my brothers, they broke the part of it that allows it to charge.

You know you can sell broken Xbox 360's for like $100

It's not about how hard it is, it's about the game. I used to play the original Mario a lot before my DS died, I don't think ever once I cared about beating the game. I just played it for the fun of it.
