Y'know, even if a solar storm wipes out the planets power grid it can be reset. It would just be like a huge EMP blast, some things might need to be replaced if they get fried with overload but it's not like anything is going to nullify electricity, it's basic science. |

Don't need electricity to replace solenoids and circuit breakers because they are basically just a piece of conductive metal, not to mention there would be millions of spares. |

Told you your smart. |

I know there a loophole to her proposed reconstruction plan. I can't help but think that it's not that basic. |

Do you know what batteries are? They're just metal and acid that create a reaction, I think any batteries that weren't connected to something that could overload and fry it would still work. On 09-22-2010 22:13 pm MATA wrote: Noo, I just heard this off other people. |

edited by Moderator | sep 23, 2010 3:01 pm Wouldn't you think the ozone would already be gone if that was true? I mean, Earth's been here for well over a billion years. Odds are that it's encountered some solar storms before. Even if the ozone layer has gotten weaker (and it really hasn't as much as people say), I don't think Earth will have so many problems. |

The ozone i simply a layer in the the atmosphere where Oxygen is bonded in threes instead of two's I'm curious as to how that blocks radiation and is affected&destroyed by things such as CFCs unlike normal oxygen bonded in twos. |
