A lot of users always ask on how to be a mod, here are a few things that help you understand how to become a moderator, and what not to do.
Be active! A lot of users think they can become a mod on their first day, this is not true. A great way to be noticed is to spend time on the site, answer questions for cheats or just spend time on the CG community!
Don't post a question asking to be a mod. If you want to become one, don't just post a question asking for it, send a private message to zin'ya about it, what I did was ask him and included a few reasons why I should be one, this isn't needed but It worked for me.
Understand what a moderator does and acts. Don't ask to become a mod, and not know what to do. A moderator is a user who has the ability to delete posts on certain games on the site, as well as to edit, delete, and stick threads on the forum of said game. In cheatsguru there are 3 ranks to being a moderator:
Game Moderator : The G Mod is the first rank of being a moderator, it is a mod but is only limited to one game, but you can be a G Mod for more then one game, for example, you can be a mod of an xbox game, and a DS game, but just those games.
Platform Moderator : The P Mod is the second rank, it allows a user to be a moderator of an entire platform, so instead of just one game, you have your moderator powers for the entire system, but still nothing for any other system.
Site Moderator : The S Mod is the third rank, and this allows you To moderate the entire site.
What does a Mod do? A mod is a user who can delete questions and answers on specific games the user chooses. A mod is supposed to be fair and do whats right and appropriate, and not just ignore some hate post just because his or her friend posted it. Know whats right and whats wrong, You can't ban anyone, but you have a little more influence when reporting to zin'ya for someone who should be banned. Don't take your powers for granted either.
Be respectful! Don't call people names, be rude, or other things like that. Mods are supposed to be nice and helpful to users, not the opposite. Instead of calling a user something rude along with everyone else, stand up for them, but if the user being made fun of is making everyone else do it, explain to the user what they are doing and that they should stop, for example, if the problem continues, just delete the question or answer, even if they keep doing it, they will give up soon.
These aren't the rules, but only guidelines and helpful tips so you can become one and knowing how. Hopes this helps!

Nice, I'd also like to point out having good grammar and/or decent contributions will help as well. Also, rating doesn't matter, since zin'ya knows it's not a system you can trust.

I always get random PM's from people I don't know asking how they can become a moderator. Sometimes, I'll get from people I DO know, and then I get more annoyed because I feel that they should know better.

Look, here's what you said in the other forum:
On 04-08-2010 13:15 pm mudkipmaster wrote: what do you even have to do to become a mod? i think (my opinion) is to try to ban users who spam, scam or hack others acconts for no reason (not saying you should hack for any reason at all)and swear and trust me thats for your own sake.
MUDKIPMASTER
I don't think you understand what mods do at all, mods don't have the power to ban.
