This walkthrough will teach you how to not be banned or get any warnings.
Note: Although none of the rules in this walkthrough are official they WILL keep you out
of trouble. Please try to follow them as much as possible.
Being a Good User
Hello and welcome to CheatsGuru. Us mods hope your visits to CheatsGuru are helpful
and fun. The following are things you can do to ensure that. If you have an questions
about this walkthrough or the site you may contact me or any other mods (if you want to
know who the other mods are, ask me). We will be happy to assist you.
(The Other) Intro
Although (at least not when I wrote this cheat) there is no Terms & Conditions of Use
that you agree to on this site yet, there is still many things that you must follow if you
don't want to end up getting banned. Some things (such as posting inappropriate
pictures/videos) may end up in instant bans. This isn't to be mean but simply to enforce
the rules so everyone can have fun whether in Q&A or the forums.
This site's banning system at the moment is pretty simple. Doing certain things can
end up in instant bans, doing other things may simply get your post deleted and you'll be
given a fair warning (the warning could be severe depending on how bad what you did was).
You may either be warned or possibly banned if reported to zin'ya. If you cause a major
annoyance in the Q&A or forums (such as flaming other users) this can end up in a ban. It
may also end up in a ban if you cause an annoyance in PMs (private messages).
Though CheatsGuru is not located in the US (the server is thought to be located in
the Netherlands) it is still an English site and we ask that you please speak in English.
It's not that we don't like non-English languages but if people were talking in different
languages it would become very confusing. We also ask that your username is in a Latin
based alphabet. Some other things we restrict with language is leet speak as it's
difficult for many so please don't use it. The use of gibberish or anything else most
people wouldn't understand also is advised to not be used. With this, don't take it up
yourself to become a spelling or grammar cop. People all around the world come here and
not all of our English is perfect. You may be helpful just don't be unpleasant.

*** 1. Inappropriate content is not allowed. ***
Inappropriate images/videos/discussions/links are not allowed. Inappropriate content
is defined as nudity, porn or phishing sites/sites with viruses. Phishing sites are
basically duplicates of a site and when you login into them they store your info so the
website's owner may hack you on the real site. To make sure you are on the real CheatsGuru
make sure the web address begins as http://www.cheatsguru.com.
Nudity is a bit different than what you may think. If there is coverage (such as a
girl in a bikini or a guy in boxers or such) then it's allowed. If the image however
covers genitalia but is still suggestive then it's considered nudity. Any media showing
genitalia is nudity and will be deleted (if it provides a link, the link may just be
edited out) and can end up in a ban. Links to nude mods for games will be deleted if there
is any screenshots on the URL that contain nudity. Media of children must be fully
clothed. Also, porn is a definite NO and will end up in an instant ban, you will receive
no warning.
*** 2. Swearing/cursing is discouraged. ***
Swearing is certainly not wanted on the site. If you don't completely obscure your
post of swearing, meaning if you don't let the autocensor system censor your post of
swears, then it may be deleted. If swearing is used excessively then you may be warned
(excessive swearing is if your post is mostly just covered with asterisks). Any avoidance
of the autocensor system is not allowed (if it's a minor word it may be OK though).
*** 3. Certain types of advertising are not allowed. ***
There is some types of advertisements that are not allowed, first I'll start off with
what is allowed.
Allowed:
- Links for making a point in discussions. (Such as: "Here, this link says it all.")
- Links showing off your works. (be it your mods for a game or your very own website)
- Links to humor for discussion reasons.
Not allowed:
- Links to inappropriate sites. (It is inappropriate if it contains mature content
such as excessive swearing, nudity or pornography.)

*** 4. Spamming and cross-posting is not allowed here. ***
Spam is basically the posting of advertisements, abusive, or unneeded messages.
Off-topic posts or posts that have little to no relevance to the subject are considered
spam. Bumping your thread (bringing it to the top) is also considered spam if it clearly
is just a bump and does not contribute to the thread. Cross-posting is starting a thread
or question in more than one game. So don't go around saying "I NEED HALP" everywhere
because that is spam.
And also don't type in CAPS. It's very rude and is somewhat spam. This goes fro
everything you post.
Other things that may be considered as spam:
- Typing upside down using an online translator.
- "youfail," "You Fail," "Epic Fail," "Phail," "youfail.org," or anything even
remotely similar.
- Posting "Banned," "Locked," "Enjoy your ban," "This will be locked," or anything
similar.
- Posting "Wall of text," "China called...," "tl;dr," or anything remotely similar.
- ASCII art, such as facepalm, middle finger, the care cup, or anything similar.
- Posts in any language other than readable and intelligible English.
- Alternating caps and lower-case thread titles or posts (eXaMpLe)
- Memes (such as: Rick Roll, Cool Story Bro, inb4[anything], etc.)
*** 5. Flaming and trolling are definitely not allowed. ***
Please ignore any trolls that talk to you and report them to the mods. Trolls are
someone who intentionally posts derogatory or otherwise inflammatory messages about
sensitive topics in an established online community such as this site to bait users into
responding. They may also plant images and data that others may find disturbing (usually
indirectly relating to the individual in person) in order to cause confrontation. Flaming,
the act of insulting individuals or groups of members and name calling, is also not
allowed. Some examples are attacking Xbox 360, PS3 or PC users or calling someone a troll.
Flaming and trolling can end up in bans.
*** 6. Constructive criticism is the only criticism here. ***
Constructive criticism criticizes a proposed idea. Criticism that criticizes a single
individual (a user, a mod, an admin, etc.) is not allowed. Essentially, constructive
criticism offers the chance for improvement. So if you see something going wrong, please
say so but offer a way to improve it.
*** 7. Making a complaint about a moderator is not welcomed. ***
Please do so by using PMs and telling zin'ya, another S mod about it or the mod
involved. So if you feel a moderator has done an action to you that is unfair, go ahead
and contact one of those people. Sometimes moderators make mistakes and we apologize if it
was a mistake.
*** 8. Topics you may want to avoid starting. ***
The following topics are topics that can usually either turn into arguments or have
negativity towards you (or whoever created the topic). trying to avoid talking about these
subject is a wise decision.
- Religion or politics. (Anything religion or politically related normally turns into
arguments, topics that are religiously or politically charged such as biological evolution
are also advised to not be created. Politically charged topics such as the global warming
theory, though not inherently political, quickly turn political. Starting subjects about
that is also not advised.)
- Petitions. (Petitions are allowed but should be constructive. Any petition that is
out-right ridiculous is restricted.)
- Rating threads/questions. (These type of threads/questions are considered as spam.)
- Creating any topic about you or another user's account. (If you are given a warning
or are banned, please don't come back and complain about it. Making a topic about another
user's account is restricted unless the problem is about how they somehow can't access the
site then send a PM to a mod.)
- Creating a thread of a locked thread. (Creating a thread of a locked thread is not
recommended. if you would like to know why that thread was locked please ask a moderator
of that platform. So for example if a thread is locked on CG Community [PC], ask me.)
- Hello/Goodbye threads. (Yeah, this is fairly obvious. It's spam. Questions that say
hello but start a chat are OK however.)
- "My rating is now !" threads/questions. (We feel happy for you that your karma
rating is now high but please don't make a question or thread about it. If you feel your
cheats are being thumbed down in a matter that is unfair, report it to a mod [P rank or
higher is suggested].)
*** 9. Disruptive behavior is not allowed. ***
This includes impersonating a mod and/or other users, harassing/stalking users and
flooding other game forums (such as people of Game Forum A flooding Game Forum B with a
bunch of posts or committing a "war" against another game forum such as a Xbox 360 game
forum against a PS3 game forum).
*** 10. Multiple Accounts 101 ***
Having a couple accounts is fine especially if for some reason you can't access your
other account. However, creation of account (s) after having your original account banned
is not allowed. If you are caught having a fraudulent account like that, it will be banned
as well. Furthermore, creating an "army" of accounts (10 or more accounts) is not advised.
*** 11. Protection of your account. ***
You are responsible for protecting your account from hackers. You are strongly
encouraged to use a password that is hard to guess. Remember that CheatsGuru will NEVER
ask you for your password. Please report anyone that asks for your password. Accessing
anyone's account that is not yours will get all of your accounts banned.
