How does one progress further after (1) completing the game and (2) beating the Ascarong Gang??? In other words, how does one attain level 21 which appears to be the level necessary to obtain Level 9 weapons and equipment?

I have "heard" that one must enter asteroids and search for additional (above the 100) Artifacts> I have tried, to no avail.

Any help would be appreciated.
