hey, i played this multiplayer and it is incredibly difficult, it took about half an hour to do. We kept going in and making a town portal then hitting it with all we had and repeat. We ended up using alot of town portals. I hope this is of some help!

while your in her lair, try throwing as many gas potions and harmful potions as you can at it.

Wear cold-proof armor, and lvl up ur cold resistance

if you can, get your hands on a weapon that packs some damage, but also has "prevent monster heal" then do everything else suggested above. and even then it will take a fair few portals. also, make sure you have a minion/minions they dont help a whole ton, but they provide a decent distraction, and you can always ressurect them back in town.

Duriel is really the toughest monster (for me, since I was killed for about 20 times. When you are a Paladin, Barbarian, or an Amazon using Javelin, just continue to hit him. When a Necromancer, Sorcerress, or an Amazon using bows, use the "hit and run" strategy. Run then hit him. Note that Duriel uses a "Holy Freeze" aura.

If you are a Paladin use a offensive aura! for me i think the most suitable offensive aura for Duriel is "Thorn" because when i first defeat Duriel i`m also a Paladin and i only use a Thorn aura at least at lvl 10!!

Since the room is cramped, ranged items wont work here. As in nightmare and hell mode theyre easier to kill because u have all the skills, but at normal its a bit hard. Here is my strategy.

Necro:U se minions and iron maiden. Keep away from Duriel at ALL COSTS.
Sorceress:Sh oot different kinds of projectiles, i dont remember wat he resists :(
Paladin:Zeal is important here, since u get slowed down. Use attack auras like thorns or holy fire.
Barb:Use double swing, thats what I can only say
Amazon:Use ranged attacks if u can, but javelins dont work as much, cant help alot with amazon :( (again)

I defeat duriel.. i have a weapon with ice damame and i use bash and double swing i didnt
recieve any damge at all ^^ try what i use

Duriel is easy when playing paladin. Find some decent life and mana stealing equip, build
up your defence and use zeal. Fill your belt with potions, keep some in your bag. You can
drink some from the bag if you are fast with mouse. Make a lot of full rejuvenation
potions with your cube, they are priceless.

u should of use barbairan just use double swing better, with life steal and mana steal man
he so easy. or try to lvl up more

Start a new game and use ***asin or necromancer and defeat duriel in necromancer use your
summon if youhave no mana to summon go back to town to regain health or use mana potion.

level up your chacharacter

use thorns on him if its at a high level or use holy fire, but make sure they have at
least 4 skill points on them make sure you have plenty of potions

Id say summon as many creatures as you can, get good armor by defeating andariel, and get
gold to buy good armor

Spending one point on Thorns and purchasing a +3 Thorns szepter seems the best way as Pala
Necros need to use Iron Maiden instead, and Sorceresses should rather use their "static
field" skill in order to quickly bring down Duriels life.
Note that a healthy, frost resistant merc is all and everything - your succes stands and
falls with him.

Full rejuvenation potions save your butt
hunt around for a ton of rejuvenation potions, cube them until you have a whole inventory
full of full rejuvenation potions

im paladin too, lvl22, i have difiance (devensive aura lvl 11), might lvl 10, trhons lv 3,
and charge lvl 3, attack damage 26-56, and a standard defense of 200.
i have with me the rouge from act 1, lvl 22, pretty good, she has a good eqp and freeze
do you recomand that i'll hire an act 2 companion?

ive done with throns, just lvl 3, and charge, but the most important where the full rejuv
potions

this is my second time playing and i keep dying against duriel with an ***asin duriel was
easeir the 1st time since i used a necro and put all skill on skell skills(mages mastery
and warriors) so he couldnt focus on me and was gang banged but i couldnt get past act 4
since i did that and diablo could hit them all at once cold resist doesnt work on duriels
attacks its non-magicit says so on the guide

make a hammerdin and get lvl 90 then its easy ;D

I'am a sorc. I had the same problem (lvl20), Ive been killed like 25 times. Blaze spell
with good timing, a merc (very important) and patience is the key. First time I kill

i hawe necromancer, i haawe good sumon but duriel beets them easaly. Iron maiden dosent

what level did you defeat duriel

I'm a zealadin lvl 21 but i didnt thorns aura since I plan on getting fanat aura later and
want to boost up sacrifice, zeal and fanat. Should I just save and quit and do Andy over
and over? :(

I think someone suggested it before, but keep ur inventory open when you walk in and right
click ur book of tp as soon as u get in, then fight and try to leave when ur about to die.
if not then no biggie... just get your body and continue fighting. but everytime you go
back keep doing ur tp. This works because Duriels regen is slow, so when u come back he
will still have roughly the same hp as when you left him.

help me im a lvl 26 druid, cant beat duriel

My advice is either be an ***asin, or get one to help you out. I killed Duriel in one
turn as an ***asin. I didn't even have to leave.

I came to this Thread as a pally looking for help on him. He kept beating me down Super
Fast, I died probably like 8 times. So Then people said to work on Cold Resist, so I
already had 2 points in it. So I Put resist cold in my spell slot, Got my Merc up, and had
a **** ton of potions. With Level 2 Cold Resist I lasted SO much longer, the only
challenge was keeping potions in stock, because he still does a nice bit of damage. Cold
Resist really does help guys, try it out. (:

I was playing a Paladin, and I just stocked my belt with health, and I picked up a
powerful weapon, and I started hacking at him, I kept using the health while i was
hacking. I finished him in the first attempt.

1)first thing you do is that get 20 town portals.
2)go to his liar and simply open a portal and proceed into his tomb.try not to get caught
in his "holy freeze" aura.
3)attack him as strong as possible.
4)die
5)come to the liar again and open another town portal and proceed.
6)you have to follow this process for nearly 10 to 15 times.

Steps to kill this guy. (I am an Amazon)
1. Set up town portal outside room
2. Enter room
3. Shoot/hit him a couple of times
4. Die
5. Run to dungeon or take portal if you made one
6. Enter room
7. Quickly pick your sh1te up (Do NOT pick up your money)
8. Hit/Shoot him a couple of times
9. Die

Rinse and repeat till he's dead. It's long, tedious process, but it will get you past. (He
doesn't regen health if your dead/away).

Im level 3 in niightmare(with great and strong armour) i use the hit and run but.... if 4
stay longer than 2 to 4 seconds(depends if he falls for my clone trick)im mince meat and
my maiden javelines dont do much damadge and do not have n good bow. help!

i defeated duriel at lvl 19!!!!!!

im an ***as and im thinkin bout trying to just run in there and cast lightnin sentry a ton
and using a ton of full juvy potions.if any ******ins c this please tell me if this is a

I ran out of town portals a while ago and i have to pick the weapons and armor off of my
dead old body. I hurt him each time I got there a bit before he kills me. However I don't
know whether or not that helps. Does Duriel heal after he kills me?
