I can't enter the console


It won't let me enter the console, now matter how many times I press ` or ~
How do I fix this?

Possible solution


the ~ key is to the left of 1 (under esc)
in fallout3.ini make sure that bAllowConsole=1
then change the presetvalues of X and Y positions to
iConsoleTextYPos=800
iConsoleTextXPos=300
The default settings makes the text appear to far to the left

IR conflict


unplug any IR receiver from your PC, solved my problem, may help you. Note: just unplug
the receiver, no need to uninstall any drivers

had same ir conflict


ir conflict on laptop just disabled in device manager

This worked perfectly for me, except my file was called Fallout_default.ini :)
