Fate: Undiscovered Realms Q&A

I have tried using the ctrl+shift+~ but it's not bring up a question mark or doing anything for that matter. I'm positive i'm entering it correctly and i'm also sure that it's not bringing anything up. My copy of fate: undiscovered realms was purchased through...

I've been trying the fate undiscovered realms cheat that is:
control+shift+~
but it doesn't work for me, i'm desesperated for the hero items.
