Real Madrid 4-1 in the final)In your first season there is no need to buy anyone but sell
Zenden because he's awful. Don't sell Dudek yet because Carson and Kirkland are out on
loan. Never play Gonzalez except for early cup games and sell him as soon as possible (he
should go for around the 5 million mark). Loan out Anderson because he can be sold for
around 7.5 million later in the game. Set your team to defensive style of play and put
Gerrard as your main playmaker. Keep Fowler in the reserves and play him for minor cup
games then release him as soon as possible.

Play this team in your first season if playing with Liverpool:

GK: Reina
RB:Finnan
CB:Carragher
CB: Hyypia (or Agger if you are playing a team with fast forwards e.g. Arsenal or Manu)
LB: Aurelio
RM: Pennant
CM: Gerrard
CM: Alonso
LM: Riise
CF: Crouch (never misses a header)
CF: Luis Garcia (an absolute beast. Scored a hat-trick in his first game and is deadly)
SUB1: Dudek
SUB2: Agger/Hyypia
SUB3: Sissoko
SUB4: Kuyt
SUB5: Bellamy

(There are no wingers on the bench but Luis Garcia can go there if necessary and kuyt is a
superb dribbler.)

In your second season again there is no need for any drastic changes:
However, i purchased Cani from villareal for around 9 million and he was definitely worth
the money and is especially good as an CAM in a 4-2-3-1 formation. At this point i sold
Dudek and Mark Gonzalex which gave me an extra 7-9 million to spend if absolutely
necessary. I also sold Riise in my second season as i have kewell, Luis Garcia and Cani to
cover for him. I neve really play Kewell but no clubs ever seem to want him so he's just a
bit of a tag-along for me but he's good cover because he can play at left wing, centre mid
and up front if necessary. Also sell palletta for a couple of million. Good player but not
needed.

NOTE: Don't be tempted to buy a new striker yet no matter how much money you have to
spend. Crouch is consistent and Kuyt can take on any defender and generally will score. If
not on form just stick Bellamy on. If you have injuries to a lot of strikers players such
as Kewell, Cani and Luis Garcia can cover with ease.

At this point your best team will be:

GK: Reina (make sure you sign a new five year deal. At this point he's ausomne!)
RB: Finnan
CB: Carragher
CB: Agger
LB: Aurelio
RM: Luis Garcia
CM: Gerrard (Again ensure you give him a new five year deal. Best midfielder on the game!)
CM: Alonso (Chelsea maybe tempted and offer a huge sum for him but don't let him go!!!)

SUB1: Carson/Kirkland (sell one or the other but not both)
SUB2 : Hyypia

SUB4: Kuyt
SUB5: Pennant

I came second in the league that season and runners up in the league cup losing to Arsenal
in the final.

The this season was when things started to really go downhill for me. I purchased Sergio
Aguero for 30 million. BIG MISTAKE! He was useless to start with but does improve
gradually as time passes and turns into an excellent purchase but i don't think it was 30
