Walkthroughs -An explanation of …call it what you want a cheat, a walkthrough, hints, etc. The Forgotten Realms “Demon Stone” for PS2 A special thanks to www.gamebanshee.com/ for providing the information, it wasn’t on this site, I just thought this would make things easier to access. by: http://www.gamebanshee.com/demonstone/walkthrough/descentintogemsparkmine.php Ch1 War in Damara :The game begins with a great battle taking place in the region of Damara. The area's citizens have been locked in makeshift cells by the invading Orcs and you must use Rannek's sword skills to free them and, eventually, make it out of the area alive. To add to the difficulty, a great Red Dragon circling the area turns everything in its path to ash. Since you're immediately slung into action, use Rannek's combat skills to take out all of the beasts in the area and then free the Wood Elves from the nearby cell. There are a couple of barrels to shatter here too, but you won't be finding any loot in them... yet. Continue down the path, slashing through all of the beasts that stand in your way. Eventually, you'll start becoming the unfortunate target of high damage catapult projectiles, so be very cautious and try to dodge any that you see heading your way. At one point, the dragon will swoop down and torch some Elves before you have a chance to save them, and it won't be much further past this point that you'll run into the Drow Rogue named Zhai. Zhai has been locked up in one of the makeshift cells, but she escapes before you're even able to save her. From this point, you'll get a chance to try out her skills firsthand. Use her nifty stealth kills to get through the next round of Orcs with ease. To do so, step in the shadowy sections to make Zhai go partially invisible and then use her primary attack when standing behind (backstab) or at the side (throat slice) of any foe. You'll go through a couple waves of Orcs before you reach an arrangement of catapults "manned" by more Orcs. Kill the Orcs and then fire the catapults if you'd like. After killing the last Orc in your way, a cutscene will show Zhai and Rannek being pinned down by Orc archers up on a ledge in the distance. A portal will open, though, and Illius the Sorcerer will step through. Of course, this is where you get to try out the mage for yourself, so use his staff and ranged spellcasting abilities to make short work of the Orc archers along the ledge. If you're having any problems taking them out damage-wise, maneuver your attacks in such a way as to push the beasts to their death off the edge of the embankment. Proceed a little ways further down the path until Rannek and Zhai ask for your help once again. Use Illius to fire the nearby ballista, which will take out all of the archers in their way. Rannek and Zhai will join you to finish off the last wave of Orcs, after which the three companions will become the target of the Red Dragon above. To avoid a fiery death, the trio will seek refuge in the Gemspark Mine, which will conclude the first chapter of the game. Ch 2 Descent into Gemspark Mine Although you're safe from the dragon patrolling Damara within this mine system, you still have other creatures to deal with. At the end of the rock bridge is a large band of Orcs to contend with, but this time you get to utilize all three party members at once. Push the beasts into the forge along the far wall whenever you can to help speed up the fight, and make sure to smash all barrels and crates in the room to accrue some gold and items. When you're finished with the first band of Orcs, the broken doors in the corner explode and another wave of the creatures pours into the room. Make short work of these newcomers then make sure you have all the room's containers searched before moving farther into the mine. A few more Orc warriors and archers await you near the front of a large bridge that crosses over a large crystal-filled chasm, but you should be able to take these out easily. Be careful not to advance too far until you're ready, though, as a swarm of crystalline spiders will drop from the ceiling and attack the companions before you can cross the bridge. Things get a little crazier at the end of the bridge, too, with Orc archers firing at you from the distance ledges and more crystalline spiders emerging from the sides of the bridge. When all the spiders and archers are dead, use Illius' primary spell to destroy the two chains that raise the final leg of the bridge into the air. Once the bridge section drops, kill the remaining Orcs and continue down the next hallway. The next room is filled with barrels and other containers, so be sure to smash them all to obtain as much loot as possible. It won't be long after you enter the room, though, that more Orcs form an assault on the party members and you'll be forced to defend yourself during the container raid. When all the Orcs in the vicinity have fallen, a cutscene will show an Orc release a poisonous gas into the room and both Rannek and Illius will fall unconscious. Zhai will actually slip into a sleep as well, but she will have made it out of the Orcs' sight before she collapses. When she awakes, you must navigate her through the next tunnel on a rescue mission for the two captured adventurers. The tunnel between Zhai and her companions provides a perfect opportunity to use the Rogue's sneak attacks. A handful of Orcs patrol the tunnel, but a patch of shadows before each one allows Zhai to navigate undetected and use stealth kills for most of the journey. A set of barrels and crates marks the end of the tunnel, after which a cutscene will show Rannek and Illius locked up in a makeshift cell. Use the shadows at the base of the tunnel exit to take the two Orc guards out easily, which will trigger another cutscene showing Zhai popping the lock open on the cell. With all three companions available again, Orcs will start moving into the room via the far tunnel and the ledge on the opposite side. Use whichever companion you are most comfortable with and make sure you take advantage of the instant kill opportunities by pushing the creatures back off the ledge they emerge from. When this final wave of Orcs is finished with, the Orc leader charges into the room brandishing two large blades. He's not a pushover by any means, but since he's the first "boss" you'll encounter, there's not a whole lot of strategy to besting him other than executing some good dodging skill. When the leader goes down, the companions will find some Gauntlets of Ogre Power, Beads of Force, and a Ring of Jumping on its corpse. The gauntlets will make Rannek a more formidable fighter by allowing him to use his ground smash ability, the beads allow Illius to destroy obstacles by utilizing his useful first level skill of the same name, and the ring allows Zhai to jump to previously inaccessible areas and make use of a few of her acrobatic skills. Use these newly acquired items to smash through the three barriers barring your way into the next room, where a cutscene will show Cireka the Githyanki General and Goro the Slaad Lord materializing from the Demon Stone. Slaad will start spawning into the room and you'll be forced to fight a small army of them before the cutscene continues and shows Cireka retreating through a passageway in the rock. The companions will retreat through the same doorway and then proceed to the Wood Elf city of Cedarleaf to help defend against Cireka's attack. Ch 3. Attack at Cedarleaf Zhai grew up in the Wood Elven village of Cedarleaf, so she's able to get you inside to stop Cireka. The Githyanki General is summoning warriors through a portal at the edge of town, so you're first task is to disrupt her summoning so that she cannot amass a great army. Illius' spells don't pack much of a punch this early in the game yet, but they're your best choice to inflict the kind of damage you're going to need. Cireka's health meter will continually regenerate, so fire at her as fast as you can. To make the task even tougher, Githyanki will leap from the portal on a regular basis and you must contend with them before resuming your attack on Cireka. Luckily, Rannek and Zhai will be able to hold them off mostly on their own, but the occasional attack on Illius will give Cireka extra time to regenerate. When you've broken her concentration for opening the portal, Slaad will begin teleporting into the village and Cireka will assemble her soldiers to prepare for Goro's attack. To reach the inner portion of the village and help the Wood Elves, you must use Zhai's jumping ability to navigate her across the side of the nearby cliff. Make sure you explore the upper ledge to score some loot from a secluded chest, then kill all resistance and use the globe on the opposite side to open the root bridge for Rannek and Illius. Once they're across, you'll witness the start of a battle between Goro and Cireka and be given a new task to lead 55 Wood Elves to the portal in order to save them from the Slaad and Githyanki attackers. Move through the burning village (using Illius' newly obtained Beads of Force to get past the tree obstacles) and rescue as many Wood Elves as you can. The battle between Goro and Cireka will gain momentum, but you won't be able to intervene at this point in the game. Eventually you'll reach an area where Slaad just continually spawn in and attack the party. After each wave is destroyed, you'll be able to save several Wood Elves and get a little closer to the 55 mark. When your quota is fulfilled, Illius will lead the party to his mentor, Khelben "Blackstaff" Arunsun, who will no doubt know how to stop the fiends and their growing armies. Ch 4 The Wizard’s Tower Chapter Four begins with a visit to the tower of Khelben "Blackstaff" Arunsun, the famous archmage from many Forgotten Realms novels. In addition to mentioning that Illius is a Knight of Silvery Moon, Khelben will ask you to stop Goro and Cireka before they annihilate Faerun. To do so, you must trap them in a new Demon Stone. Fortunately, the Yuan-ti of Chult possess one, so Khelben asks you to head to the portal here in his tower and use it to transport to the Jungles of Chult. Before Khelben can tell you any more, however, Goro flies in atop his great Red Dragon and the two begin a massive battle against one another. Making it to the portal won't be easy, though. Bugbears begin scaling the walls of the tower and you're forced to battle them the entire way. To deter their continuous assault, though, you can attack the ladders they use to scale the walls, thus crippling their ascent from that particular section. The first hallway is pretty simple and the wave of Bugbears just inside the tower are made much easier by the guardian statues along the wall that attack any moving creature (except your party) with their stone axe. When you reach the fireplace, Slaad will begin teleporting in. Like you've done in the past, push the Slaad into the fire to make the battle a quick one. The tower's next outer hallway is lined with traps that cover the full width of the hallway at specific sections. Since Zhai can leap over the trapped sections, use her to reach the end of the hallway. You'll have to take out several Slaad as well, but the battles shouldn't prove to be anything too serious. Once Zhai has disabled the traps by attacking the switch at the end of the hall, snag the chest's contents and head back inside the tower with all three party members. The next room you enter contains a large pool, which can be used to your advantage. Knock the spawning Slaad into the pool to light up the runes on the wall. When all of the runes have been filled, the pool will emit a powerful burst that will hurt all foes in the area. When all Slaad are dead, move through the next trapped hallway with Zhai and use her to disable them once again so that your companions can make it to the lower level. At this point, you'll be shown the battle between Goro and Khelben again, and things don't seem to be going so good for the friendly archmage. When the view returns to the trio, use your ranged attacks to take out the Bugbears on the opposite balcony. There are a few ladders and nearby Bugbears to dispose of as well, after which you can move to a new hallway with guardian statues on both sides. Help the statues kill all the Bugbears in the hallway, then run up the ramp behind the statues to loot another chest before continuing to the next room. This next room contains more Bugbears, but you'll once again have the aid of Khelben's tower at your side. The swords hanging on the walls will fire themselves at the Bugbears, so your main concern should be taking out the ladders at the windows so you can advance to the next room. Moving through another door, the three adventurers will find themselves at the top of a staircase. Smash the three chests in front of you, then proceed downstairs. Here you'll find Khelben's Shield Guardian, a gigantic metal contraption armed with a double-bladed axe that Illius can take control of. Use the huge knight to slash through the hordes of Bugbears between the party and the portal to Chult. Unfortunately, the Shield Guardian will be destroyed by the circling Red Dragon when you reach the end of the path, but you won't need it anymore anyway. Before you can enter the portal, the Bugbear Chieftain will confront your party and you'll be forced to do battle. This guy is very similar to the Orc Leader you faced in the Gemspark Mine, and you can use similar tactics to take him down. Once you're finished with him, Illius will begin reconstructing the portal to allow entrance to Chult and Zhai and Rannek must fend off the Slaad while the Sorcerer concentrates on his magic. Do whatever is necessary to keep the foes off of Illius, as each attack hinders the portal's progress and inflicts damage on the Sorcerer that cannot be healed since you're not able to control him (although earning enough experience to gain a level during the battle will heal Illius of all wounds). As soon as the portal is back up and running, the companions will charge through just as Khelben's tower crumbles under Goro's wrath. Ch.5 Jungles of Chult When you arrive in the Jungles of Chult, the explosion emerging from Khelben's tower will destroy this side of the portal - thus sealing the characters in an unknown region of the dense primeval forest. Before you can ponder the fate of Khelben, however, Illius is attacked by a Shambler and Rannek and Zhai are forced to defend themselves. When you've bested all the nearby creatures, Illius will regain consciousness and use his divination skills to determine that the Demon Stone you're after can be found to the East. Move down the next path to find even more of the beasts awaiting your arrival. If you find yourself taking a lot of damage, use any of the characters' ranged attacks to bust open the healing plants hanging from the foliage above. Not much farther down the path, your way will be obstructed by a large web, from which several small spiders will drop down to attack the party. Kill them (and the Shambler just beyond), then proceed a little further to find an old dilapitated building. After you break down the double doors, more spiders will descend upon the party and both Illius and Zhai will be "webbed" against the wall, forcing you to take the role of Rannek to free them. Keep the spiders at bay as best you can while offering your party members assistance by simply hacking away at the webs that have immobilized them. Once Zhai is free, use her to jump up to the second floor while Rannek and Illius take care of the spiders. Not only can you reach additional spider sacs and healing plants, but you can score a book and a chest filled with gold up here. You'll also want to ransack all five barrels on the main floor for their gold before killing the last of the spiders. Once all spiders are dead, the three companions will be dropped down through the floor to a level filled with Shambler and more spiders. This floor has a large water wheel and gear system that can be used to your benefit. If you're having trouble with any of the Shamblers, simply push them into the churning waters and watch them be ground into the gears. There are a handful of barrels and another chest to search here, then prepare for a quick onslaught from the first Yuan-ti of the game through the large door at the end of the room. Take down all of the Yuan-ti that emerge from the river just beyond and then use a ranged attack to drop the last Yuan-ti on the other side of the water. The three adventurers will then attempt to use a rope to pull a raft across the river, but will be attacked and forced to travel the rapids downstream. During the first leg of the river ride, you will be constantly assaulted by Shamblers that emerge from the river. Even though the foes will keep you occupied, there will be times when you'll be forced to hack a rope obstacle out of the way to keep the raft moving. After traveling down the river a ways, you'll float underneath a bridge and be forced to use ranged attacks to take out the creatures firing down upon you. Make sure you find time to burst the healing plants, though, otherwise you may find your characters running very low on health. The last leg of the river ride will take you through a cavern filled with spiders. Once you've hacked through the first web obstacle to keep the raft moving, a huge queen spider will crawl across the ceiling toward your raft. She fires poisonous globules at your party, and although they can be blocked, you're also going to have to attend to the smaller spiders dropping down on you as well. You can only reach the queen with ranged weapons, so use up Rannek and Zhai's ammo supply and then finish her off with Illius' best combat spell. Once you've bested the queen, the raft finally reaches a shoreline at the end of the cavern and you'll be set to begin Chapter 6. Ch 6: Yuan-ti temple The entire perimeter of the temple is patrolled by Yuan-ti, so you'll find yourself first making use of Zhai's sneak attacks to dispatch of as many as you can. Be patient and keep her in the shadows until you find the perfect opportunity to silence each Yuan-ti. If you're spotted, try and kill the Yuan-ti that saw you before it has a chance to ring the gong and bring on more of the snake-like creatures. The final two Yuan-ti in front of the entrance door can be quite tricky since there is quite a bit of space between Zhai and the nearest darkness, so be very careful and use a full frontal assault if necessary. Once these two are taken out, don't go in the door just yet - there is a chest and a bag atop the ledge just off to your left. Once inside the temple, a cutscene will commence that shows a Yuan-ti Sorcerer using the Demon Stone for some sort of ritual. Before you can stop him, though, you're descended upon by a whole army of Yuan-ti and are forced to fend them off first. Destroy the rope bridges to keep some of the creatures from crossing, then finish the rest of them by either hacking them to death, pushing them over the side, or shoving them into the fiery pit. After you've dispatched what seems like a countless number of Yuan-ti, the Sorcerer will finish his ritual and conjure a huge demon. The demon must feed on living sacrifices to grow in strength, so you must destroy the Shamblers that are marching toward the demon to keep it from feasting upon them. Since the Shamblers are under mind control, they don't even fight back. Just when you think it's going to be too easy, though, the Yuan-ti begin another wave of attacks and you must juggle between keeping the Shamblers from feeding the demon and defending yourself against more of the serpentine enemies. If you keep the beasts from crossing over to the demon long enough, its hunger will grow and it will eventually eat the Yuan-ti Sorcerer that originally summoned it. After this happens, you'll be able to reach the platform to the Demon Stone itself. Since the Demon Stone is surrounded with a shield, though, you'll have to attack it with everything you have before you can reach it. Cycle through the three characters and use their melee attacks to bring the shield surrounding the stone down as quickly as possible. The demon will not allow you to inflict too much damage on the stone's shield before it starts crushing you with its fist, so you need to rush in and take a few swings and then rush back out of the demon's range. Keep this procedure up until the stone is free, after which another cutscene will show the demon fall to its death in the water far below. Now that the Demon Stone is in your possession, it will actually regenerate health for Illius every time he fires a spell. Not bad, eh? Ch 7: Stand At Mithral Hall Chapter seven marks the appearance of Drizzt Do'Urden, the famous Drow Ranger from R.A. Salvatore's Forgotten Realms novels. A cutscene depicts your arrival at Mithral Hall, which offers a small amount of conversation between Drizzt and Zhai about her Drow and Wood Elf heritage. It won't be long, however, before Trolls begin sieging the stronghold, forcing the companions to fight them off alongside Drizzt and his two scimitars. Due to their regenerative nature, Drizzt will tell you to tip your weapons into the brazier coals before using them against the Trolls. The fiery effect will destroy the Trolls for good, but only when used with a Coup de Grace. Your weapon will not burn forever, though, so return to the braziers on a regular basis to ensure you're able to finish off a Troll when it goes down. The battle will move along the wall of the stronghold up to the mechanical system above the massive wooden door. The Trolls will relentlessly attack the gears, so you must kill them as quickly as possible. When you've cleared a wave of trolls and are waiting for more, use the downtime to break the nearby barrels and loot the gold inside of them. After you've successfully kept the trolls from destroying the gears, you'll be returned to the main gate and will be given control over Drizzt. Drizzt's scimitars make for some very fast damage, but you're going to need it to keep the army of Trolls from breaching the main gate. After you've finished off enough of the Trolls, you'll then have to escort a dwarf up to fix a broken gear on the opposite side of the wooden door. Keeping the Trolls off the dwarf isn't very hard, so as soon as you get a little break in the fighting, maneuver down the stairs on the left side of the dwarf to find two chests ripe for the plundering. With loot in hand, finish the rest of the Trolls, then return to the main gate to continue defending it. It won't be long before the Trolls break through the huge wooden door and a wave of the creatures will make an assault on the main gate. Things start getting pretty tough here. Avoid the regular Trolls and dispatch the rock-throwing versions first since they're the ones causing all of the damage to the gate. When your health starts getting low, pay a visit to any of the four chests along the walls to score some healing items. When all of the rock-throwing Trolls have been killed, the creatures wheel in a huge catapult and begin firing boulders at the gate. By the time the catapult shows up, the gate will most likely be getting close to being breached. Since you must destroy three sections of the catapult (while being attacked by Trolls), you're going to have to move fast. Try to avoid the Trolls as best you can and hack as quickly as possible on the front and two side wooden sections of the catapult until it finally crumbles. When this happens, a huge Troll will emerge from the door and Rannek, Zhai, and Drizzt will have to do battle one last time. The Troll leader is tough, but at least you won't have to worry about the gate anymore. When the beast renders the character you're controlling helpless (by picking you up and gnawing on your flesh...), quickly switch to one of the other two characters and continue slashing away at it. The battle is very time-consuming, mainly due to the fact that the Troll regains health every time it gnaws on one of the party members. Stick it out and the beast will eventually fall. When it does, Rannek gets his revenge for the attack on Nezme by finishing the Troll once and for all. At this point, you must part ways with Drizzt. Before you leave, though, the Drow Ranger hands Zhai a Wood Elf Necklace, which allows her to stay hidden from sight even after attacking an enemy. On to Chapter 8! Ch 8: Into the Underdark The Underdark comes alive during the eighth chapter, where you must stop Cireka from opening the portal. You'll be facing hordes of Githyanki during this level, but the way is made a little easier with Zhai at your side. Due to the many shadows down here in the depths, the Drow Rogue is extremely lethal, so use her to make instant kills whenever possible. After taking out the first wave of Githyanki, you'll enter a large chamber where you'll once again be set upon by Githyanki warriors. To advance to the next room, you must destroy the ice barrier being manifested by the Githyanki wizards atop the platforms. The barrier isn't very difficult to destroy, but taking out the wizards can prove to be a nuisance. After a few ranged attacks at them, you'll most likely be struck down by one of the Githyanki warriors pouring into the room. Rotate between the two until all four wizards are dead, then concentrate on the barrier in front of the large wooden door. More wizards may appear on the platforms later on, so take them out once again if they do. When the barrier finally falls, you're free to move into the next room. Pass through the room filled with candles and into the next hallway where a chest awaits your plundering ways. A few more Githyanki warriors block your way to the portal, so take them out as quickly as you can. When you reach the portal, Cireka is not happy to see you. She calls in another wave of Githyanki warriors and wizards and then jumps atop the portal. THe wizards keep her guarded with magic, so you need to kill all four of them before you can inflict any damage on her. Use Illius to take them out from a distance, then continue using ranged attacks to bring Cireka down in health as quickly as possible. When she reaches a certain level, she will jump down from the portal and Goro the Slaad Lord will appear. While these two do battle, Illius will begin using the Demon Stone in an attempt to trap them once again. While Illius concentrates on imprisoning the two, you must use Rannek and Zhai to keep the constant flow of Githyani, Slaad, and other demons at bay. When the imprisoning is about to conclude, a cutscene will show Goro blast Cireka through the portal and then follow her into it. Since the imprisonment was unsuccessful, our band of adventurers chases them into it. But where does it lead? Ch9: The Dragon’s Lair The ninth chapter is where the graphics in Demon Stone really shine. The three companions arrive to find Cireka the Githyanki and the dragon from chapter one locked in combat. Since Cireka must be imprisoned in the Demon Stone, you cannot allow the dragon to kill her. Make your way through several waves of Slaad and demons until you're shown a cutscene of Cireka retreating into a stone passageway. Once the dragon flies to the top of the cavern, follow her inside and make your way through the stone hallways, killing the demons that try to stop your progress. In the middle of the passageway is a small room with five barrels, so destroy them to score some loot on the way. When you emerge on the other side, the Cireka and the dragon will still be locked in battle. You must cross a stone bridge while being fired upon by archers and under constant attack by demon and Slaad, so you may find yourself having quite a few problems with this section. Use Illius to take down the archers from a great distance while Rannek and Zhai clean up the creatures using melee along the path. After all the foes in your way have been defeated, move through the corner building to witness the dragon finally killing Cireka with a blast of fiery breath. When this occurs, Rannek will notice that the dragon fears the Githyanki's weapon, so he will pick it up and start using it, thus forcing the dragon to maintain a perch just off the bridge. Move through this last leg of pathway quickly, as the dragon will still fire its breath at the companions in regular intervals until you make it to the next passageway. The second passageway is very similar to the first, although you'll be facing a few more demons than last time and there are less barrels to take advantage of. The opposite side is where things really start getting hairy, though. A whole army of Slaad and archers await you and you'll most likely find yourself loading a few times to make it through this hallway alive. Once you've defeated the swarms of enemies blocking your way, you'll finally reach the dragon's lair. Illius recognizes a portal amongst the dragon's scattered treasure that you can use to leave the area, but the dragon makes another appearance and spoils any plans the companions had of leaving. This time, you'll actually be doing battle with the dragon itself. Use Illius' best spell to destroy the dragon's wings while Rannek and Zhai take out the Slaad that teleport in on a regular basis. Before destroying both wings, though, make sure you shatter all the chests in the dragon's hoard and take the gold. As soon as both wings are nothing but tatters, the dragon falls into the lava below. When the companions begin using the portal, though, the dragon emerges from the lava for one last land-based battle in the hallway behind you. This battle is extremely tough. The dragon can use its breath weapon as well as a terribly damaging bite and will retreat from time to time to spawn in several Slaad to keep you occupied. I recommend using Rannek to inflict as much damage on the dragon as possible until he gets bit, then use Illius to fire off spells until the dragon retreats. The summoned Slaad can actually be useful since they drop health items from time to time. Eventually, the dragon's health will run out and you'll have to use all three companions in a teamwork effort to kill it. First, use Illius to put it into a trance. Next, use Zhai to jump on top of the dragon's head and force it to the ground. Lastly, attack the head with Rannek's sword to put an end to its existence. Once the chapter's ending cinematics have completed, you'll be shown Cireka's sword up close. It's called the Silver Sword of Gith and is obviously much nicer than the one Rannek was previously using. Time to try it out on a Slaad Lord... Ch 10 : The Lord of Chaos ( the final chapter) The final chapter returns you to the Gemspark Mine in order to destroy Goro the Slaad Lord once and for all. Your entrance into the mine is met with a serious amount of resistance from Slaad, though, so it won't be easy. When you've finally cleared the initial room of all enemies, move forward and take out the archers that block the way to the outer crystal-covered ledge. Once you're on the ledge, several more waves of Slaad will appear and attempt to bring you down. Additionally, archers will spawn on the platforms in the distance, so you'll probably want to be controlling Illius through most of this section. When all foes are dead, the companions will charge into the portal and enter Limbo, the breeding ground of Chaos. Here you will face the hardest battle of the game (by far), Goro himself. Hopefully you've purchased the Red Dragon Scale Plate Armor and some of the other powerful items now available, otherwise you may find yourself having an extremely difficult time. Goro will only fight you for short intervals, after which he will summon several Slaad to confront you and then retreat to the rock platforms off in the distance. From the distant perch, he will then sling damaging and stunning spells at you, which makes the Slaad battles even tougher. Spells and ranged weaponry do no good against Goro, so you simply must wait for him to return to the main battle area to use melee weapons. Eventually, Goro will run out of health and a cutscene will show the companions jumping back through the portal once the Slaad Lord dies. You will then be returned to Cedarleaf, where Khelben will make an appearance (he's alive!) and grant the three of you the land of Vaasa, an untamed section of Faerun all for yourselves. At this point, you can watch the credits and then utilize the character status/upgrade menu to spend any acquired gold or experience from the final chapter. Keep in mind that you can play any of the chapters over again, so feel free to try the game from the beginning again using all of the experience and loot you acquired. Congratulations on finishing Demon Stone!<table class="table_ch"></table> |
