I introduced a Crtl+F function in the guide so that you don’t have to
scroll all the way of the guide to find a single thing. Just type the code
of the content you want to read. For example, if you want to see controls,
just type 0004 in the Find box. If you view this guide in notepad with

Hello, I am Rahul Yadav aka Colt.45 Magnum and I am the author of this guide. I
love action, adventure and sports games. I thank you for reading my guide and I
hope that you will find my guide useful. I am sorry for writing this guide
after six years of the game’s release. But before blaming me, I would like to
tell you that my computer has been bought very recently i.e. at 24th December
2007, at the Christmas Eve, but it wasn’t a Christmas gift. Though I am late; I
have written this guide so forgive me. I will give some special features of
this game which are as follows:
1. Fully teamwork based game- In many army games, the entire mission objectives
have to be completed by you. Global Operations doesn’t make this thing. In this
game, objectives can’t be completed without your teammates help. For example,
if you have to plant a bomb to complete the mission, you’ll need your teammates
to cover you while you are planting bomb.
2. Communication- You can communicate with your teammates for issuing orders
and if you are wounded, you can ask for medic. To communicate, press Z and you
will see a light blue box in which you can see four things, general orders,
specific orders, reports and replies. These items will be numbered 1, 2, 3 and
4. Press the corresponding alphabetical numeric key to open the order’s
submenu and press the corresponding alphabetical numeric key again to give
commands. Communicating with your team is very important as it gives you the
current position of your teammates and yourself.
3. Weapon variety- This game has a large variety of weapons to choose from.
They start from pistols to machineguns, SMG’s to heavy automatic rifles. Though
I am not a weapon expert, I must say that these weapons are very realistic.
4. Respawning- Do you have fear of dying? Don’t worry about this, in Global
Operations you are respawned or reinserted, but you have to buy your equipments
and guns again. This is too bad for your money. You can earn money by killing
enemies and if you are a medic, you can earn money by healing your teammates.
5. Greek army based weaponry system- This is true. In ancient Greece, soldiers
were ought to buy their own weapons and armors. For rich soldiers, they had a
sharp sword and spear, a strong shield and a heavy and expensive armor whereas
a poor soldier had to manage with whatever he could afford, which even forces
them to use an animal skin and a wood club. Enough of the history class, now
back to the 2002 game. In this game also, soldiers have to buy their weapons
and other such equipments. But thank God that they don't have to wear animal
skin and have to use a wooden club. Imagine, what will happen if you have to
face an army with modern firearms with a club and wearing an animal skin! What
a horrible situation will be there!
6. Limited time based game- In this game; you will get only a particular
amount of time to complete your objectives. This makes gameplay sometimes very
frustrating and a little bit restricted but still it is fun and makes the game
more challenging and it also makes game very realistic. The time varies for
every mission. For example, for first level, you will get 10 minutes and for
eleventh level, you will get fifteen minutes.

Version 0.50, Date: 27 July 2008- Started the guide and written the big Global
Operations at the beginning. Phew, that was a big one to complete.
Version 0.50, Date: 12 August 2008- Finished the cheats, weapon's guide and
author's comment, screen HUD, controls, soldier abilities, bugs and credits
section and started the walkthrough section.
Version 0.50, Date: 18 August 2008- Added the general tips and edited the
weapon's guide.
Version 0.50, Date: 19 August 2008- Added a new cheat for money discovered by
my brother and edited the style for headings.
Version 0.50, Date: 29 August 2008- Edited the controls section and added a
screenshot key discovered today. Also, added a new section named Contacting
Me in this guide. I haven't written any thing in the guide since 19 August as
I was becoming very bored of writing.
Version 0.50, Date: 30 August 2008- Added the FAQ section and a new tip.
Version 0.50, Date: 13 September 2008- Added two new sections, namely "Do and
Don't Do with My Guide" and "Sites Permitted to Use My Guide". I didn't write
anything for some days as my computer was infected by a virus which came
through a pen drive.
Version 0.50, Date: 25 September 2008- Completed the Campaign 1 in the
walkthrough section, added tips for weapons in weapons guide and totally
changed the format. These three things took twelve days to complete.
Version 0.50, Date: 26 September 2008- Added the level tactics at the start of
the walkthrough section.
Version 0.50, Date: 2 October 2008- Finished the guide and checked the
spellings and grammeritical mistakes. Also added the fantastic gun art

Version 0.50, Date: 14 December 2008- Hello. Checked the guide for the final
time and sent it to GameFAQs. Let's see if they will accept my guide or not.
What? Why I am sending this after two months? My internet connection is bought
four days ago. The first three days I spent being familiar with the net and

Here, I will list down some ideas and strategies about Global Operations. Note
down that the whole guide is of single player. So if you want a multiplayer
guide, then don't come here right now. In the next versions, I will put a
multiplayer guide also. So, here are the tips:-
1. Always take a cover and then fire as it makes you very protected from the
enemies and so you can complete your objectives far more easily.
2. Try to use a gun with scope as it gives you a good, accurate shot
especially for a headshot.
3. Concentrate on the objectives rather than on kills and kill only those
enemies who are blocking your way towards your objectives. But if you are an
expert or you have to defend someone or something, keep firing on every enemy
you see.
4. If you are roaming with half clip, stop roaming and start reloading as it
makes you very safe. This is because if you are facing several enemies and
your gun drains down, you will be in mortal danger.
5. Try to take every good machinegun, rifle, SMG and pistols lying as they
serve as a good backup for your inventory and it also save your money.
6. This is a teamwork based game so you must rely on your teammates for
covering and healing you. But do not depend on demoman as he has a nasty
habit of throwing grenades on you.
7. Try to be stealthy by taking cover wherever you can find one. Also, using
a suppressor will also help you to be stealthy.
8. You can be in scope mode for as long as you want. Just press the run/walk
toggle key (default is Caps Lock) and when you walk go in the scope mode. I am
writing this as if you run; you will not be in the scope mode.
9. If you are lost, don't worry. Just call anyone to follow you. When he comes,
just get rid of him by pressing space and follow him. He will take you to your
destination.
10. The little black boxes you see on the walls are not useless. They are
camera control box. If you target them with crosshair and keep pressing the
space bar, you can take control of them to see the action live while you are
in respawning vehicle.

W --> Moves the soldier forward.
S --> Moves the soldier backward.
Left arrow --> Turns the soldier left.
Right arrow --> Turns the soldier right.
A --> Strafes the soldier left.
D --> Strafes the soldier right.
Left Alt --> If you hold down this key, you will strafe using mouse movement.
Left Crtl --> This key jumps the soldier.
G --> Soldier crouches when you keep this key pressed.
F --> Toggles between standing and crouching.
Shift --> This key is used to make the soldier run.
Caps Lock --> Toggles between running and walking.
Page Up --> Looks up. Particularly useless as everyone now uses a mouse so you
won't need this key at all.
Page Down --> Looks down. Same as Page Up.
Home --> Makes the camera view to the centre.
/ --> Mouse look. I don't know what this is.

Left Mouse Button --> Fires the weapon.
Right Mouse Button --> Equips scope, laser sight or flashlight on the gun if
it is attached.
Q --> On/off flashlight or laser by using this button if your gun has one.
’ --> Zoom in the scope by using this button.
; --> Zoom out the scope by using this button.
R --> This key reloads your weapon.
X --> Trigger between three firing modes. The firing modes are fully automatic,
three shot bursts and single shot bursts.
T --> By using this button, you can drop your current weapon.
Space --> A very important key to use. It picks up the weapon, it open doors
and you can get rid of the demoman by targeting him and pressing the key. Also
used to select VIP's to follow you and for several other things like planting
the big timed c4 used in some missions like Mexico, USA etc, to control the
camera and for some other specific things which are specified in walkthrough.
E --> If you have thermal goggles, night vision or gas mask, press this key to
equip them.
C --> Opens your inventory and shows what weapons you are carrying. Select your
weapon by moving the mouse towards the desired weapon and then releasing the
inventory key.
] --> Chooses your next weapon in the inventory.
[ --> Chooses the previous weapon in your inventory.
B --> If you want to be any other person, press this and select the soldier you
want to play. For example, if you are playing as a recon and want to play as a
heavy gunner, press the button and select the heavy gunner in the box. In the
next respawn, you will play as the selected soldier.

1 --> Selects the primary weapon. They include assault rifles, machineguns,
SMG's (for recon), sniper rifles and grenade launcher.
2 --> Selects the secondary weapon. They include shotguns and SMG's.
3 --> Selects the sidearms or the handguns. They include pistols and
revolvers.
4 --> This key only select the knife. Use it at your own risk.
5 --> This key select grenades. They include smoke, frag, flash and gas
grenades.
6 --> This key also select grenades. Same as above.
7 --> Grenades again as there are three slots of grenades and equipments.
8 --> Selects equipments. They include night vision, thermal vision, gas
mask, remote c4, timed c4, LAW, recon's LSD and medic's medikit.
9 --> Again equipments. LSD and medikit are not in this slot.
0 --> Same as above.
- -->  Selects the objective weapon, i.e. the timed c4 used to blow up
things.

Z --> Opens the menu by which you can communicate to your teammates in single
player.
Backspace --> Push this button to use voice over IP in multiplayer.
H --> Type to everyone in the team. This key is for multiplayer, I think.
J --> Talk to every person in the game. This key is also for multiplayer.
End --> Kills your player.
Tab --> Use this key to see how many people you have killed and how many times
you have been killed. Also shows that how many objectives have been completed.
L --> Push to reconfigure the screen elements of the game.
F8 --> Takes a screenshot of the game.

In this section I will describe about the weapons of Global Operations. I will
rate them according to their power, accuracy and clip size. I want to tell you
some things; the sidearms, or handguns, equipment, grenades are all same for
everyone. They are 8 handguns, 4 grenades and 3 equipments in total, so I am
writing them in separate sections and in the weapon info I'll tell which weapon
is good and which is not. Also, Commando and Medic both have same primary
weapons and Commando's secondary weapons and Recon's primary weapon are same.
Exceptions- Commando has an extra weapon called LAW or Light Antitank Weapon
and demoman has the Remote C4 and Timed C4 in their equipments. But before
going forward, I want to present some weapon tactics. So here are they:-

These are very deadly weapons if you know what to do with them. It can be used
as a sniper rifle also as these have fairly nice scope and good power. By this
combination, you can hunt enemies down. The downside of this and every scoped
weapon is that the scope makes your range of view short. So, you must have
cover while hunting peoples. If there are several enemies to take out then you
must go near a hiding place and then kill them. If you use Olympic Arms M4 with
a silencer with full auto (see the weapon's guide for details), it will have
drastic effect on enemies.

These beasts of heavy caliber bullets are extremely useful if you use them at
close and medium ranges with full auto mode enabled. In machine guns I like
M2495AW and M240G the most as they are very powerful and extremely killer
weapons. Try to use it when the enemies are distracted and spray all the
bullets on them. This tactic is especially useful when you are defending
something.

These use pistol ammo so there are pretty weak and can only be used at close
and medium ranges. The best tactic to use these light weapons is to use a
silencer and use it with full auto. Try to use it when enemies are busy

A very, very bad weapon in single player, I think. This launcher is very weak,
inaccurate, very low on ammo and takes ages to reload. Please don't use it, I
haven't found any use of this in any level.

These must be used in places where there is plenty of hiding places and with
a backup gun and no demoman. Though there are sniping spots in every level, I
must say you must use it when I say you to do this. But you can also try them,
I haven't stopped you from trying new things, but never use sniper for VIP
escorting. If you ask me about my favorite sniper rifle, I'll no doubt choose
Dragunov.

I hate this weapon, especially the first two, namely 870 and M-1. They are only
useful for close range, but their power is surprisingly good. If you take a
headshot, it will down anyone in maximum three shots. In my opinion, USAS12 is
the best shotgun.

The hand held explosives in the game are very, very, very, very crappy. Sorry
for this "veryfying" but it's true. But the remote explosives are very good for
blowing up something or for setting traps. Personally, I choose remote c4 for
bombarding.
