dont worry about going into the files and stuff,all you have to do is play gothic 3,and
type in "Marvin" then press the "`" key,done!Also,dont use to much cheats,other wise the
game will mess up

i've found that that does not work, perhaps you are confused with gothic 1 and 2? or that
you have an upgrade with that option built in? i have thesame problem, perhaps because i
have Vista and not enough authority?

my cousins have windows xp and cheats worked but on my vista i cant even pull up the cheat
console

You need to configure windows explorer to display file extentions to known file types.
Start => Control Panel icon => Folder Options icon => View tab => Scroll down
the list. Uncheck the box that says "Hide extensions for known file types".
Now when you save the ge3.ini file, it will allow you to without that warning.

Im using a laptop (norwegian keyboard) And the ~ (tidle) mark for me is a combination of
alt+ a semi button...
So it dosent work if i use that in gothic 3 to get the cheat menu down. Any idea of how i
can swap the key to press to get the cheatmode down? Alternatively how can I change the
keybindings on my own keyboard? Allready checked the text doc related to keyboard in
gothic 3.
ps already got the test mode= true in order
Already had this problem with several other games but i was able to fix it by simply
changing the keyboard settings of the game, with gothic i could not find the key for test
mode tho or that button atall related to anything :(
