Today I'm going to teach a guide for Gunbound. Gunbound is a popular game which is a worldly online game. You'll meet different people of kinds. There are mostly rude people in this community, and then there's also the nice kinds. Now, a word of advice: DON'T TRUST SCAMS!!! Do not trust a person who's gonna say "Chief Hair for trade!!!" Most likely will he or she rip you off. Also, Gunbound won't ask you for your password, so if someone's gonna ask, it's an imposter. So follow this, and you'll be safe. __ / \ /_/) ) / / / /__ (_____) 2. Registration To register an account for playing gunbound, go to http://www.gunbound.net. That's the English site. The Korean is http://www.gunbound.com. Don't be fooled, okay. Anyway, when the screen loads completely, click on "Registration", fill out the form, select your gender, and tada, you got a brand-spanking new account. Note that hackers are on the loose. If you're unlucky, you may be hacked. To report, click on "Help" on the very top right, and then click on Customer Care Center. Then type in any word in the box, and then press Enter/Return. The next screen will have the option "Ask Question to GM". Click on that, and then tell the GM your problem. If it's submitted correctly, within a few days they'll give you an answer. Note that sometimes they may not be able to help. But report anyways and pray for the very best. _____ (___ | __| | (__ | ___| | (_____| 3. Controls The controls are for Gunbound. Keys ---- Space Bar *Shoot in Slice and Sniper. Up and Down *Adjusts angle. Left and Right *Face direction. *Move when it's your turn until your movement bar runs out. Left Mouse Button *Drag Shot attack. F1 to F6 *Uses your items in the appropriate slot. It's like this. F1 F2 F3 F4 F5 F6 Item - Item - Item - Item - Item - Item F11 *Takes screenshot of the screen. Shooting Modes -------------- Slice: To shoot with the Slice function, you hold down the space bar after adjusting your angle until you reach the desired shooting point, in which you release it, and you shoot. I recommend this for beginners. Sniper: It's a bugged up Slice. Don't use it. Drag Shot: It's hard, but saves you delay. You hold down the left button of your mouse, and when you reach your point by dragging it right, you release it and then you shoot. Hard to use, as the power bar fluctuates. If you want to use full power, then drag it all the way to the right, and it'll shoot full-power automatically. Commands -------- Type these in your text to do as the command does. /kick (name) - If you're the key holder of a room, then you can use this to kick a certain person. You put in the name of the person you want to kick in (name). /m (name) - Privately messages someone. You put in the name of the person you want to private message to. /key - Tells you what keys do what. /f - Tells you what F Number keys do what. /mute (name) - Mutes someone, therefore not seeing his messages. You put in the name of whoever you want to mute in (name). /mutelist - Tells you all the people whom you muted. /loud (name) - Allows you to un-mute a person you muted before. You put in the name of whoever you want to un-mute in (name). /loudall - Allows you to un-mute all muted people. /quit - Quits the game. ___ / | / /| | (___ ) | | |_| 4. Basics Ok, after you download Gunbound and register for an account, click on Gunbound, log in, and then you'll see 12 servers. Being the beginner you are, you should hang out in Servers 1, 2, 3, and 4. I suggest 1 and 2 especially. 4a. The Lobby Now, you'll see a diagram like this. No, it's not drawn to scale. ___________________________________________________________ | | Rank Ranking | ______________ | | | Name | | Buddy List | | | | Gold Cash | | | | | |____________________| | | | | _______________________________ | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | G a m e s | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | |_______________________________| |______________| | | ______________________________________________________ | | | Chatting Channels | | | | ________________________________________ _________ | | | | | ||Chatting || | | | | ||People || | | | | || || | | | | || || | | | | || || | | | |________________________________________||_________|| | | | |Enter your text here | | | | | |________________________________________| | | | |______________________________________________________| | |___________________________________________________________| | O P T I O N S | |___________________________________________________________| Ok, let's get started by looking at this diagram. -Name: Your ID Name. -Rank: Your Rank and Icon. -Ranking: How far you rank out of the entire community. -Gold: How much gold you get. Gold can be earned by doing certain kinds of shots and winning games. You can use gold to buy avatars in the avatar shop. Avatars can be used in Avatar On as your stats, or can be used in Avatar Off for looks. -Cash: If you use PayPal or the like, you can use real money, transfer it to Gunbound, and use the real money as cash. Cash can also be used to buy avatars, but some avatars are Gold Only, and cannot be bought by Cash. -Games: The games that's going on in Gunbound. To join a game, find a waiting game. You can tell a waiting game when you see a big fat 'WAIT' next to the game. -Buddy List: This is to store your buddies in a list. It's sort of like AIM or YIM, if you use them. You can double-click on a buddy's name to start a private message with them. -Chat: You can chat in Gunbound if you don't want to play a game. Just chat around with different people. Be warned. Most of the people may be rude to you, or try to scam people. DON'T TRUST THESE SCAMMERS!!! Take my word for it! -Chatting Channels: The channels of a chat. Each channel holds different people. Sort of like sub-chats in one entire chat, if you can get what I mean. -Chatting People: A list of who's in your chat's channel. -Enter your text here: If you wanna chat, click on your text box, type up your message, and press Enter or Return. -Options: There are different options located in the bottom. Here is a list of these different options. Exit: Exits to the server screen, and you can access a different server. Avatar Shop: You can visit the avatar shop, and see what avatars you got, and buy new avatars using your gold and cash. Buddy: Displays and disappears the buddy list. Create a Room: You can create a new room with this command. 4b. In a Game When you join a waiting game, you have to ready up. Okay, here's a diagram of waiting for the game. ______________________________________________________ | ________ ________ | ________ | ________ ________ | | | || ||| ||| || | | | | Team A || Team A ||| Map ||| Team B || Team B | | | | Player || Player |||________||| Player || Player | | | | Space || Space || Weather || Space || Space | | | |________||________|| ||________||________| | | ________ ________ | Game | ________ ________ | | | || || Stats || || | | | | Team A || Team A || || Team B || Team B | | | | Player || Player || || Player || Player | | | | Space || Space || || Space || Space | | | |________||________||__________||________||________| | | __________________________________ ______________ | | | || | | | | Mobiles || Items | | | | || | | | |__________________________________||______________| | |______________________________________________________| | OPTIONS | |______________________________________________________| Team Player Space: The players' spaces. Map: Map where you will battle in. Weather: Weather statuses for the map you're going to battle in. Game Stats: The game statuses that you're going to play under. ========================Game Stats===================================== Modes of Battle: This setting is to determine what mode you're going to play under. Score Mode ========== Score Mode is the easily popular played one. Each team has a number. The number decreases as one teammate of a team dies. The player can then re-spawn by clicking on a spot. The first team to hit zero loses the game. In a 1 on 1, oh c'mon? Do I need to explain a 1 on 1? The first one who dies loses. In a 2 on 2, the score for each team is 3. In a 3 on 3, the score for each team is 4. In a 4 on 4, the score is 5. Solo Mode ========= Solo Mode is a mode in which when one dies, he or she cannot re-spawn. Instead, the defeated players play with slots. If the items in the slot match, you can either use them if they're attacking items, or get their bonuses if they're gold. If they're attacking items, you can choose to throw them on enemies from above by clicking on a spot. Be careful, as they're affected by wind, which will be explained later. The first team to lose all its teammates loses. Tag Mode ======== Tag Mode is a lot like Solo Mode. You even get the slots when you die. However, there is one minor difference. You can choose a tag mobile. To use the tag mobile in game, press F7 to do so. That's the only difference. Jewel Mode ========== Jewel Mode is the least popular, and doesn't involve shooting players. Instead, it involves shooting point jewels. Each jewels are worth a point of value. There's a -5 point gray jewel, a 5 point blue jewel, a 10 point yellow jewel, and a 25 point red jewel. The first team to reach 100 points wins the game. Number of people: This shows how many people can play the game you're in. It goes in 1 on 1, 2 on 2, 3 on 3, and 4 on 4. You CANNOT team stack. In other words, you cannot go 5 on 3, 4 on 2, 3 on 1, or 2 on 0. Side: Some stages have an A Side and a B Side. You can toggle this to select which side. The stages which have alternate sides are Nirvana, Meta Mine, and Cozy Tower. Cave also has two sides, but you can only get Cave from Random. Also, both Cave sides look exactly the same. The difference between the two Caves is the weather. Sudden Death: You can choose which type of sudden death you want. Double Death ============ Double Death is the most popular Sudden Death type. Double Death, when activated, allows all players to shoot dual shots every turn. You can do good damage with each dual shot. SS Death ======== SS Death allows you to use an unlimited amount of SS shots when used. The SS delay still carries over though. The GameFAQs games like to use this type of death a lot. Bigbomb Death ============= A bunge death type. Bigbomb Death makes all shots damage the ground even better. It creates much bigger holes. Many bunge games use this death. No Death ======== When this death is activated, there's really no sudden death. Summary: No Sudden Death of any type. Slot: If you're playing Solo or Tag, then this gets activated. Basic ===== The slots will contain all types of slot items. Attack ====== The slots will contain only attack items like hammers, dynamites, and bolts. Sudden Death Turn: This setting is the amount of turns needed to pass before Sudden Death Activates. There's 40 turns, 56 turns, 72 turns, and no death. ======================================================================= Items: Items that you can use in game. If you're the key holder, you can disable and re-enable an item by right-clicking the item desired to do so. Dual ---- Delay: 600 Slots: 2 Allows you to fire two of the same shots. Blood ----- Delay: 0 Slots: 1 Sacrifices a little bit of health for more power. Energy 1 -------- Delay: 300 Slots: 2 Restores a quarter of your health. Creature mobiles get a little bit more health back. Energy 2 -------- Delay: 100 Slots: 1 Restores a little portion of your health. Creature mobiles get a little bit more health back. Dual Plus --------- Delay: 250 Slots: 2 Shoots your mobile's Shot 1 and Shot 2 in one turn. Wind Change ----------- Delay: 150 Slots: 1 Changes the wind to the opposite direction. Team Teleport ------------- Delay: 50 Slots: 2 Swaps position with the teammate with the lowest health. Shovel ------ Delay: 50 Slots: 1 Makes bigger holes on land when shot at the ground. Power Up -------- Delay: 150 Slots: 1 Gives 33% more power to your shot. Lightning --------- Delay: 200 Slots: 2 Electrifies your shots and zaps the enemy. Teleport -------- Delay: 100 Slots: 2 Shoots a teleport shot and you teleport to where the shot landed. Options: You can choose to exit the game, change sides, or just ready up. If you change sides and team-stack, the key holder will most likely kick you. So just ready up. Ok, now when everyone is ready, the key holder will start the game. When everyone loads their game, you'll see a screen like this when you're in the actual game. No, it's not drawn to scale. _____________________________________________________________________ | ____ ______________ ___________ _______________ _________ | | |ESC | |Weather Order | |Gold Earned| | Items | |Skip turn| | | |____| |______________| |___________| |_______________| |_________| | |_____________________________________________________________________| | | Chat Texts | _______ | | | | | Wind | | | | | | Meter | | | | | |_______| | | |_____________________| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | ______ ________________| | | | | Player | | |Delay | | Stats | | | List| ______ | | | | | |Chat | _________________________ | | | | | |Toggle| |Enter your chat text here| | | | |______| |______| |_________________________| |________________| |_____________________________________________________________________| | ___ ___ ____ ______ _____________ | || | | ||Angle | ______V_______V_______V_______ | || || 1 | 2 | SS ||Number|| Power Bar || Variable || ||___|___|____||______||______________________________||_____________|| |_____________________________________________________________________| Ok, let's get started by telling what is what in this little diagram of mine. ESC If you click on that or press Esc on your keyboard, you bring up some little options. -Shooting Mode: Slice, Sniper, or Dragshot. -Music in MIDI or MP3 -Music volume -Effect volume -Background: On or Off -Quit the game. You can only quit after a certain amount of turns. You also have to sacrifice 100 gold per teammate if you want to quit. Weather Order This determines what weather is in order. Weather can affect shots, either changing wind, giving Force or Thunder, etc. Weather will be explained a little later. But here is a little guide to tell which weather looks like what. -Force: Looks like the sun. -Moon: Looks like a crescent moon. -Lightning: Looks like a circle of bolt. -Item Lock: Looks like a black circle. -Wind Change: Looks like a comet. -Thor: Looks like a satellite. -Hurricane: Looks like the top of a hurricane. -Land: Was taken out of this game. Gold Earned As you do bonus shots in the game, you can earn gold. This tells you how much gold you have earned. Items You can use your items either by pressing the F buttons from 1 to 6 (on the corresponding slots and keys) or just by clicking on them. Skip Turn If you can't shoot or the like, you can click on this or press F8 to skip a turn. Chat Texts It's a chat in a game. You can use this to strategize with your allies. Wind Meter Wind is one of the most important aspects of the game. This tells how strong wind is blowing at what direction. Delay List Delay is another important aspect that you must learn about. Delay simply determines who's going in which turn, in an order. Chat Toggle You can toggle between All to chat with everyone and Team to chat with only your teammates. Enter your chat text here This is where you enter your chat message, and then press Enter/Return. Player Stats If you left-click and hold on to it on a player, you can see his player stats like his Winning Rate, Average Damage, etc. 1 You use Shot 1. 2 You use Shot 2 SS You use the Special Shot. Angle Number Your angle. Always memorize it in conjunction with the wind. It'll be great if you can. That way you can almost always hit your enemy. Power Bar This is the power bar, where you charge up the power for your shot. The V's are like sections of the bar. I mean, 25%, 50%, and 75% respectively. Also, a yellow slit marks your last power, so that you can use the same shot if you hit your enemy, or try a different shot. Variable In Score, this keeps the teams' score. In Solo, nothing appears there. In Tag, this shows your tag mobile. In Jewel, this keeps the teams' score. Now, some words for you. First, you should always know that your enemies are in red names, and your allies are in white names. Don't attack your allies. They might yell at you, and you will lose gold and GP if you get the penalties. Always try to aim for the red-named enemies, because they are your targets. Wind is one of the most important aspects. This can affect your shots. For example, if you're going to shoot right, and the wind's blowing left at say 10 mph or so, the wind might be able to push your shots against you, and that can result in good or bad. Delay is also another important aspect. I'll explain all of it later. But here's a brief summary. Delay affects your turn order. You want to shoot as quickly as possible and not waste any time. Using in-game items like Dual or Teleport also adds your delay. There is also another aspect called True Angle. Most beginners don't know what it is, so I'll explain. See, True Angle is the darker, more inner part of your mobile's angle trajectory. True Angle does more damage than using Fake Angle in the outer and lighter region of your angle. Bunge is also a good way to defeat your opponent. Bunge is simply destroying your enemy's land and then making him fall to the bottom, so that he dies. 4c. Bonus Shots Bonus shots, as said earlier, can earn you gold. Here is a list of the bonus shots from Gunbound's main site. Delay Delay is one of the most important aspects. I'll have to teach you beginners what delay is. Simply put, it is the determination of turn order. I'll explain like this. Most mobiles have 10 delay added per second. The only exception is Turtle, who has 12 delay per second. There are also other things that affect delay. First, what shot you use determines delay. Shot 1 has the least delay, Shot 2 the middle-most delay, and the SS Shot has the most delay. In-game items also affect delay. Each item has a delay value added to your delay, and that will add up your delay. I'll use the Boomer mobile as an example. Boomer has 730 delay for Shot 1. Teammate -300 Enemy 1 -250 You 730 Enemy 2 +70 Assume that you have 730 delay and Enemy 2 has 800 delay. Now, if you can shoot with Shot 1 within 7 seconds, you can go again before Enemy 2. If you shoot more than 7 seconds, then Enemy 2 will go before you. If you use Shot 2 or SS Shot, then Enemy 2 will go after your turn. If you use an item that gives more than 70 delay, then Enemy 2 will go after your turn. Each second, as said before, gives 10 delay more to your delay. Your tactics can be to go before the enemy twice, and attack him. This can really prove to be helpful, and even save you from death at times. Once you understand more about delay, you'll become better. 4e. Weather Weather is another element of the game. Weather can do many variable things. It can be good, or it can be bad. Here's a run-down of each weather. -Force: A sunbeam appears. If a shot passes through the sunbeam, the shot will do more damage. -Moon: Heals all players, ally and enemy alike. -Lightning: A lightning bolt appears. If a shot passes through the lightning bolt, the shot will have thunder effects and can do more damage. -Item Lock: Items cannot be used. -Wind Change: The wind speed and direction changes. -Thor: Thor is activated, and will shoot a beam to where the shot hits. -Hurricane: A hurricane appears. If a shot passes through the hurricane, it may ascend or descend and change the shot's normal hitting spot. -Land: Was taken out of this game. 4f. True Angle True Angle is the more inner and darker section of your angle. Some mobiles have true angle only. True Angle helps to do much more damage than just shooting. Try to keep shooting in the True Angle range, as that can help out a lot and make a good difference. 4g. Bunge Bunge is the process of destroying your enemy's land until he or she falls to the bottom pit and dies. Some mobiles are very good at bunging. If you like to bunge, then I suggest you use mobiles like Bigfoot, Nak (very hard to master), J. D., Trico, and Armor. There are other mobiles you could master. Adiumroot, Meta Mine Side B, and Nirvana are good places for a bunge map. Practice well, and you could be a bunge master. _____ | ___) | (__ |___ \ ___) ) (____/ 5. Stages The stages of Gunbound are now listed in this section, in the same order Gunbound programmed it. Miramo Town ----------- Weather Miramo Town looks like a winter snow battlefield. The stage is like a flat and bump stage at the very same time. There are no pits, so if you want to bunge, you'll have to dig a hole out. Nirvana Side A -------------- Weather Nirvana Side A is like a bridge stage. There's a pit below that can be used for bunging. But it's very thick so it might take some time before a bunging process can begin. Nirvana Side B -------------- Weather Now this is more of the height side of Nirvana. Side B is basically a group of floating rocks. It's very annoying here if you start in the bottom. You'll have to waste time destroying the rocks before you can hit your enemies. Metropolis ---------- Weather This place is valley shaped. Actually, it's sort of like a X, but not symmetrical. It's a decent bunge stage. You can hide in the lower part of the 'X' with a defensive strategy. Sea of Hero ----------- Weather This stage has two side islands with a middle island. The middle island has a rock that's presumed to be the tip of a sword. It might be hard to shoot over the rock with bad wind against you. Thor is really common here that you might get 3 Thors in a row in the weather order. Adiumroot --------- Weather This stage is really common for bunging. It's like a much more thinner Nirvana Side A. Also, there's no wind change here. It might be bad if you're a Boomer. Many games with this stage set are usually bunge games. Dragon ------ Weather This stage is a large and very thick dragon statue. Most of the weather appears in the middle of the stage, where the dragon's head is. It's very hard to get bunged here. Cozytower Side A ---------------- Weather This stage has two side pillars, and a curved bridge-like structure in the middle with two cat statues on the side of it. You can get bunged in the middle bridge structure. It's possible to use the cat statues as cover and then use angle attacks to hit the enemy. Cozytower Side B ---------------- Weather This stage is basically set with 8 pillars varying in height. The pillars usually get destroyed easily in a long game, and there's little place to move unless you got a teleport. A J. D.'s shot 2 may be just enough to bunge a metallic mobile like an A. Sate. or Bigfoot. Dummy Slopes ------------ Weather It's four slopes. Grub's shot 2 can come in handy for Boomer shots and all. It's also easy to get bunged on the sides of the slopes, so be careful if you're at an edge. Stardust -------- Weather Many people hate this stage. It takes place on a floating ship, with an arch on it. The arch is mainly why people hate this stage. If you're below the arch, you have to blast through the arch if you want to hit the enemy. Tracer mobiles like Lightning, Aduka, and A. Sate will have a worst time inside the arch. Meta Mine Side A ---------------- Weather Many pro-avatar players like this map. The reason is because it's a melee map and there's many wind changes here. The stage is set like a bumpy T-shape. It might be a good place for Boomer players. Meta Mine Side B ---------------- Weather Unlike its alternate side, this stage has no wind change at all. It's also a good bunge map. There are thin string platforms that serve as bridges. But these thin platforms can be shot at and broken. So yeah. It's basically islands connected with these platforms. Cave ---- Weather Order A. B. Cave has two sets of Weather Orders. Only one is chosen for Cave. Oh yeah, by the way, Cave can only be gotten through Random. However, it's very frequent by Random. So chances are you'll most likely get this stage. It's on dinosaur platforms with even teeth and all. It's like a smaller Sea of Hero stage. __ / / / /_ / __ \ ( (__) ) \____/ 6. Mobiles The mobiles of Gunbound. Well, here they are. But first, a few explanations of the types of mobiles. Mobile types classify the mobiles. There are three types of mobiles: Creature Mobiles, Shield Mobiles, and Machine Mobiles. Each has its advantages and resistance, and its disadvantages and weakness. Then there are four types of weapon shots: Hit Weapon Shots, Laser Weapon Shots, Explosive Weapon Shots, and Electric Weapon Shots. Each has super-effectiveness and not-to-effectiveness. Mobile Types ============ Creature Mobiles ---------------- Creature Mobiles usually have high HP. The only exceptions are Boomer and Dragon (only gotten through Random). They resist electric shots well, but are weak to laser attacks. Shield Mobiles -------------- Shield Mobiles have a blue-HP marked shield in their life bar. The shield regenerates over time, unless hit by a Mage's SS attack. The shield acts as an endure defense system, as the shield mobile won't get hurt until the shield is down. Shields are weak to hit weapon shots, but can resist laser weapon shots. Machine Mobiles --------------- Machine Mobiles have high HP and high defense. However, their weaknesses are electric weapon shots. The resistance is hit weapon shots. Weapon Shots ============ Hit Weapon Shots ---------------- Hit weapon shots are impact-damaging shots. You want to hit these weapon shots with direct aim if you want to do some good damage and defeat your enemy. Laser Weapon Shots ------------------ Laser weapon shots are laser shots that can do well against creature mobiles, but can't do much against shield mobiles. Explosive Weapon Shots ---------------------- Explosive Weapon Shots don't have any resisting and weak-to mobiles. But they serve as good bunge shots most of the time. Electric Weapon Shots --------------------- Electric Weapon Shots can cause splash damage even if it misses as long as the shot lands near a mobile. These shots are weak to creature mobiles but damage shield mobiles well. Armor ----- Appearance: An orange mobile with black tank-like wheels Mobile Type: Machine Shot 1 Weapon Shot: Hit and Explosive Delay: 770 Shot: Shoots a light orange and white missile. Good for bunging. Shot 2 Weapon Shot: Hit and Explosive Delay: 860 Shot: Shoots a red missile that does good damage. SS Shot Weapon Shot: Hit and Explosive Delay: 1320 Shot: Shoots a red missile. If it flies long enough, it will transform into a more powerful missile that does excellent damage when in a direct hit. Mage ---- Appearance: A blue floating mobile with silver wing-like structures. Mobile Type: Shield Shot 1 Weapon Shot: Laser Delay: 800 Shot: Shoots a single laser. Shot 2 Weapon Shot: Laser Delay: 900 Shot: Shoots two single lasers that cross each other. SS Shot Weapon Shot: Laser Delay: 1300 Shot: Shoots a light blue ball of energy that destroys shield mobiles' shields. Nak --- Appearance: A red spider-like worm machine. Mobile Type: Machine Shot 1 Weapon Shot: Hit Delay: 770 Shot: Shoots a little ball shot from its tail. Shot 2 Weapon Shot: Hit Delay: 920 Shot: Shoots a silver ball that burrows into the ground, reverses gravity, rises to the ground, and explodes on the ground. SS Shot Weapon Shot: Hit Delay: 1320 Shot: Shoots a little spider shot that passes through ground. Unless it hits someone, it will go out of the boundary. Trico ----- Appearance: A dinosaur with a leaf seat attached on its top. Mobile Type: Creature Shot 1 Weapon Shot: Explosive Delay: 740 Shot: Shoots a single cabbage. Shot 2 Weapon Shot: Explosive Delay: 890 Shot: Shoots three cabbages. The outer two revolve around the center one, so it's extremely hard to get all three to hit a single enemy. SS Shot Weapon Shot: Explosive Delay: 1290 Shot: Shoots something that drills the enemy and destroys the ground with a big hole. Bigfoot ------- Appearance: A blue mini missile tank. Mobile Type: Machine Shot 1 Weapon Shot: Explosive Delay: 770 Shot: Shoots 4 missiles. The missiles spread as they start to go far, so this shot is good for close range and bad for long range. Also a good bunge weapon. Shot 2 Weapon Shot: Explosive Delay: 920 Shot: Shoots 6 smaller missiles that spread as they start to go far. Like Shot 1, it's only good for close ranger. Also a good bunge shot. SS Shot Weapon Shot: Explosive Delay: 1320 Shot: Shoots some red missiles that, like the other two, spread as they start to distance. Undoubtedly a good bunge tool. Boomer ------ Appearance: A little wooden mobile with a red boomerang as its weapon. Mobile Type: Creature Shot 1 Weapon Shot: Hit Delay: 730 Shot: Shoots a single boomerang that is very light to wind. It can be blown very far if wind is very heavy. Shot 2 Weapon Shot: Hit Delay: 880 Shot: Shoots four boomerangs in a line. Also very light to wind. SS Shot Weapon Shot: Hit Delay: 1280 Shot: Shoots a single boomerang that is very light to wind. If it stays in the air for approximately 1.8 seconds, it will transform into a golden boomerang that does more damage than the pre-transformation shot. Raon Launcher ------------- Appearance: A toy-looking yellow and red mobile. Mobile Type: Machine Shot 1 Weapon Shot: Laser Delay: 750 Shot: Shoots a triple red land damager shot that doesn't do much damage, but can damage the land decently. Obviously a good bunger. Shot 2 Weapon Shot: Laser Delay: 900 Shot: Shoots two mini Raon babies. If they're next to a mobile, on the Raon's next turn, the babies will walk to the mobile if it did not move and explode on him. If the babies hit the land AND at the exact middle of the target mobile, then it will explode and cause good damage. SS Shot Weapon Shot: Laser Delay: 1300 Shot: Shoots a walking Raon that explodes if it hits a mobile. If it does not hit a mobile in time, then it'll automatically explode. Lightning --------- Appearance: A blue tank with a lightning tracer shooter as its weapon. Mobile Type: Shield Shot 1 Weapon Shot: Electric Delay: 750 Shot: Fires a yellow tracer. When the tracer lands, a column of bolt strikes where it landed. Shot 2 Weapon Shot: Electric Delay: 800 Shot: Fires a yellow tracer. When the tracer lands, two lightning bolts strike where it landed in a V-shape. SS Shot Weapon Shot: Electric Delay: 1300 Shot: Fires a sparrow-shaped shot. When it lands, it forms a circle. Everything in the circle gets damaged. J. D. ----- Appearance: A small round red and light peach mobile. Mobile Type: Shield Shot 1 Weapon Shot: Electric Delay: 740 Shot: Fires a blue laser ball that damages whoever is hit. Also splash damages anyone that is near the hit. Shot 2 Weapon Shot: Electric Delay: 830 Shot: Fires a vacuum ball that sucks in anything that is near it when it lands and hits. SS Shot Weapon Shot: Electric Delay: 1290 Shot: Fires a green pyramid shot that turns into a circle when it lands. The circle damages and repels anyone that is near. A. Sate ------- Appearance: A yellow floating mobile. Mobile Type: Shield Shot 1 Weapon Shot: Laser Delay: 730 Shot: Fires a tracer shot. When it lands, the satellite above the A. Sate shoots a single laser. Shot 2 Weapon Shot: Laser Delay: 880 Shot: Fires a tracer shot. When it lands, the satellite shoots three lasers. Chances are that if the tracer is far from the A. Sate, one of the lasers won't be able to hit. Use this in close-range combat. SS Shot Weapon Shot: Laser Delay: 1280 Shot: Fires a green tracer shot. When it lands, the satellite hovers to where the shot landed, and from above shoots lasers to the target. Ice --- Appearance: A white panda. Mobile Type: Creature Shot 1 Weapon Shot: Hit Delay: 740 Shot: Fires an icicle. This shot can do good land damage and is nice for bunging. Shot 2 Weapon Shot: Hit Delay: 890 Shot: Fires an ice ball. If it hits a mobile, it will reduce the target's defense by 5%. This is how you increase Ice's damage. SS Shot Weapon Shot: Hit Delay: 1290 Shot: Fires a snow-flake shot. While it initially doesn't do major damage, if it can hit, it reduces the target's defense by a good 20%. Turtle ------ Appearance: A green turtle. Mobile Type: Creature Shot 1 Weapon Shot: Hit Delay: 740 Shot: Fires a stream of water. Shot 2 Weapon Shot: Hit Delay: 890 Shot: Fires two streams of water that cross each other. It's like Mage's Shot 2. The difference is that if the streams are in a high angle, they'll become close and parallel to each other. This shot is best used for high angles if you want direct hits. SS Shot Weapon Shot: Hit Delay: 1290 Shot: This shot is one of the hardest shots to master. It initially fires a purple ooze ball. However, when it stays in the air long enough for about 1.8 seconds, it splits into six small ooze balls. It's hard to get them all to hit. Grub ---- Appearance: A small yellow animal with a silver cannon. Mobile Type: Creature Shot 1 Weapon Shot: Laser Delay: 740 Shot: Fires a purple ball. Shot 2 Weapon Shot: Laser Delay: 890 Shot: This shot is very different from the others. It bounces off boundaries instead of passing through them. This shot fires four purple balls. They roll around for a short while, and explode if they hit a mobile or if they roll around too long. To increase the damage of this shot, you can do a Boomer shot. You can fire it left, and let it roll right by a slope, and vice versa. SS Shot Weapon Shot: Laser Delay: 1290 Shot: This shot can do good damage only if used correctly. This shot fires a purple ball that rolls around. But, the catch is, it damages people by rolling through them. To use this correctly, use it on a target that is stuck in a very narrow hole. The ball will be stuck in the hole along with the target, and do good damage to the target. Aduka ----- Appearance: A purple metallic spider machine. Mobile Type: Machine Shot 1 Weapon Shot: Electric Delay: 820 Shot: Fires a zapping ball shot from its tail. Shot 2 Weapon Shot: Laser Delay: 960 Shot: Fires three spider shots. When they land, Thor will hit where the spiders land, even if Thor isn't activated. This is because Aduka's powers mainly comes from Thor, activated or not. SS Shot Weapon Shot: Laser Delay: 1320 Shot: This shot is the combination of the pass-through effect of Grub's SS and the pass-through effect of Nak's SS. When this is used, a spider comes out of Aduka's tail and passes through only enemies. As it passes through, Thor fires the target. It's weak until Thor is ultimately pumped up, but also, it's very effective for a DK. Dragon - Can only be gotten through Random ------------------------------------------ Appearance: A purple dragon. Mobile Type: Creature Shot 1 Weapon Shot: Hit and Explosive Delay: 850 Shot: Fires a flaming shot from its mouth. Shot 2 Weapon Shot: Hit and Explosive Delay: 950 Shot: Fires several flaming shots from its mouth. It spreads out as it distances, much like Bigfoot's shots. SS Shot: Weapon Shot: Hit and Explosive Delay: 1390 Shot: Fires a tracer shot. When it lands, four mini-dragons will appear and crash onto where the tracer shot landed. Knight - Can only be gotten through random ------------------------------------------ Appearance: A horse. Mobile Type: Machine Shot 1 Weapon Shot: Laser Delay: 850 Shot: Fires a tracer shot. When it lands, the sword satellite above the Knight shoots several swords. It's like A. Sate. Shot 2 Weapon Shot: Laser Delay: 950 Shot: Fires a tracer shot. When it lands, the sword satellite shoots more swords than Shot 1. It's also like A. Sate. SS Shot Weapon Shot: Laser Delay: 1310 Shot: Fires a tracer shot. When it lands, the sword satellite hovers to where the shot landed, and from above shoots many swords to the target. _____ (___ ) / / / / / / /_/ 7. This section is dedicated to help you use Boomer effectively. So, look and learn. Backshot -------- The first shot I'm going to teach you with Boomer is backshot. Now, backshot is a bonus shot. It's also good for another reason. A backshot is actually a Boomer Shot, and Boomer Shots increase damage. Okay, now pay attention. Assume that wind is pointing right at 10 mph. If the enemy is close to you, choose angle 70 (recommended for beginners. Once you're good with it, you can try 65, 75, 80, or any other angle). Now, use a small amount of power. I should say around 25% power (at the first marker). If done correctly, your shot will look like this. B is you, E is enemy, _ is the ground, and the other lines are your shot's direction. \' \ \ ______b_e___ No, it's not drawn to scale. But it's something like that. It goes in front of you, then turns backwards and hits the enemy. Ta-da. Backshot! You do more damage, and get some bonus gold. Oh yeah, if the enemy is far away, you'll obviously have to use more power. But if you use too much power, it may not backshot. The minimum wind needed for a backshot is 2, but sometimes even 2, 3, or 4 wind may not be enough depending on the wind's direction. One note, YOU CAN'T ALWAYS BACKSHOT! If your backshot can't reach the target, forget about it and just normally throw your boomerang shot at the target!!! Don't waste time doing failed backshots. Hookshot -------- Hookshot is next. Hookshot is basically shooting your shot upwards against wind with full power, and then going down. You don't get a bonus for hookshot though. The shot's angle should form an upside down V shape angle. Here is a diagram. B is you, E is enemy, _ is the ground, |
