Halo: Combat Evolved Cheats

Towards the beginning of the game, there is a way to bypass the two weapon limit and carry three weapons at once. On the first level, make your way to the bridge. After speaking with the captain, quickly run out of the bridge before the chapter name disappears. If you were fast enough, the checkpoint at the door will not trigger. Now run to the mess hall and get your Assault Rifle and another weapon. Now, run back to the bridge and trigger the checkpoint. When you go back towards the mess hall, the pistol will appear in your hands, and you will be carrying three weapons instead of two. Each gun reloads and exchanges normally. Note: This only lasts for the first level.

when on the level silent cartographer, once you unlock the door that the gold elite locks, there is a cliff, and a pelican at the bottom, instead of wasting 5 or 10 minutes getting down, go to the edge and look down, there should be rocks, walk off the cliff and onto the tallest rock, you should get down with only taking out some of your shields, if your health goes away, there is a health pack near the crashed pelican. P.S take out the grunts, elite and jackals on the other cliff first.

On the Silent Cartographer level, go anywhere where there is an overshield, and bring a warthog with you. It's best to do this in co-op because it's easier to collect the grenades and "initiate launch-off". Get as many grenades as you can, and have your partner kill you, and vice-versa to get the grenades into one big pile. (Make sure this is *near* an overshield.) Drive the warthog onto the grenades and try to position it to where it would fly up on top of the level. Before you do anything else, make sure you get a checkpoint. Have your buddy pick up a grenade and toss it under the warthog, and RIGHT as he throws it, pick up the overshield and get into the warthog quick. If you get into the warthog while the overshield is charging, you should get blasted upward unharmed. You should reach the top of the level. If not, reposition the warthog, or get more grenades. When you're up there, kill your friend with the plasma pistol from long range, and he should appear up there with you. Have fun!

On the last level the Maw, on the last checkpoint, when you go off the big jump onto the small bridge, drive the warthog so a quarter of it is off the bridge. Jump on top of the warthog and jump on top of the wall on either side (the one closest to you) and follow it up to an upper, smaller bridge. There are two hall ways and go in the one with blood in it. Look to the right and you will find the name Rex written in blood.

'The Megg' is one of the hardest easter eggs in Halo. After all once you see the Megg, its game over. Start a game on the Pillar of Autumn while on legendary difficulty. Jump on the cryo tube Master Chief comes out of. Jump on the shield recharger thing. Then, jump on the walkway. You'll see some barrels. Jump on the top one. Wait for that guy that woke you up to die, then jump down. Get to the captain and shoot him. As soon as Cortana says, 'rampant', find the door the invincible marines came out of. If you can get past them, another door will open. The Marines can't get you while you're in here. Look up at the 'M' made out of bullets. After you see it you're trapped and the marines now can kill you. Like I said once you see the Megg, you die.

Go to create a new account and type in .fortune for a name. As soon as the name is completed, a random message will appear on the screen. Re-enter the name for another message.

WARNING: You may need to restart this stage if you pursue this easter egg.

In the last level of Halo, you'll arrive at a second grouping of tunnels after the dropship pick up goes awry.

Take the first tunnel on your right and there should be a fork leading to a dead-end half way through. If you head partly that way, you can hear a grunt talking about something phenomenonally droll.

Ok, to kill an Elite the easy you will need:

Plasma Pistol

Pistol/Assualt Rifle

So first you charge up the plasma pistol and fire at the elite if it hits it will take out his shield. Then switch to your pistol or assualt or whatever other gun you have and take out the rest of their helath.

Scattered across a few of the Multiplayer maps are some snipers and rocket launchers that can really help beat your enemy... here are a few, ill update the list as i find more.
Hang 'em high - there are both rockets and snipers here. To get to the rocket, simply travel up as often as you can until your on a bridge that travels around thee room.in this bridge there is a rocket.
for the sniper, just look around when youve got the rocket, there will be a sniper on a littleisland, you'll need to jump to get it.

battle creek. the first thing youll notice is a massive rock arch than spans the middle of the field. you can jump up it to find a rocket at the top. from your viewpoint, you'll see a sniper on the other sidde that you couldnt before.

When youve destroyed the banshees go up th hill on top there are 2 rocks jump on the lowest one and u can bounce back an fourth beetween them

Dev mode (Developer Mode) is a program that you can use on Halo CE to make Machinimas and Just fool around. Now there is a lot of questions going around on how to use it. Here are some codes and a walkthrough on how to use it ONLINE.

1: Make sure you have Halo CE windowed. To window it, make a shortcut and put it on the desktop. Click "Properties" and where it says "Target" put this at the end. "-windowed

2: Open up devmode and make sure it it OFF

3: Join an online game

4: Press ALT+TAB to run the game window in the background. Turn Devmode ON and then return to the game.

5: Devmode should now work online. Just do this before each online game. If you do not you will not be able to use it ONLINE.

6: To use Devmode, during gameplay press ~ then enter the following codes. (You MAY have to type "-devmode" afterward.

At the end of the Level"The Maw"when u are driving ur way to get picked upu go thourgh the second tunnel and when u look to ur leftu should see dead bodies of floods and one gruntIf u go near himhe will say something funny

note: most effective in outside maps.

the plasma flare makes a plasma nade go in the air and explode there. all u have 2 do is aim somewhere and throw 2 plasma nades. usualy the 1st will send teh 2nd up and will explode in air... but u dont move the mouse once u have aimed. works in all games... but is more efective with other players.
