go near the wall which has a hole in the 1st basement and equip the bomb and press G or
"the drop item button you've set and and then equip the bomb remote and press LMB to blast
the bomb.
Hitman 2 is realy a very easy game!

i am doing the same thing but when i press the button G the bomb suddenly explodes and i
end up dying.what am i doing wrong?

where do I find the remote to blow the bomb in himan contracts. I have no remote

you have to restart this level and then go to the place from where you can get your
weapon, near the "FCK" mark.......yur remote is with that weapon............:)
