I found this a while back somewhere on the net. Anywho...

1.Make your merc and set his MARKSMANSHIP, AGILITY, and HEALTH to 85, DO NOT set anything to 0. It doesnt matter if any of the skills are 35 or 55 just do not set anything to 0.

This has been written somewhere on the net, but some people are still not aware..

1. Make your merc and set his MARKSMANSHIP, HEALTH, WISDOM and AGILITY to 85. DO NOT SET ANYTHING to 0!!

2. Do not hire anyone!! Go straight to the battlefield with just your IMP only.

3. Kill the 3 retards and take their stuff

4. DO NOT give the letter to the lady, after you killed the 3 thugs go back to your laptop.

5. Set your merc to "TRAIN" "STUDENT" and pick an attribute (Strength, Mechanical, Medical..etc.). Make sure you put your merc on "STUDENT" and not "PRACTICE".

6. Set the time to 60min and go take a load off. Enrique will send you emails telling you you're worthless and wasting time...just ignore.

7. Watch your merc gain skill!! Notice he doesn't go to sleep! this is because you set it to Student! After he reaches 85 on that attribute pick another one and repeat until all are 85. This will take a while but its worth it.

8. Now just because you're gaining skill doesn't mean Deidrianna's aren't. The great thing about this is that you increase your stats but so do Deidrianna's army, and the other hired AIM and MERC mercenaries. You'll notice that even Deidriannas low-level thugs are pretty accurate with their shots.

9. Now go check out the AIM mercs on your laptop. Notice that mercs like BUNS have amazing stats. Their prices increase but they are well worth it. Whats even better is if you go to MERC (the cheapo mercenaries). Notice that FLO and GUMPY (the two weakest mercs in the game) are now some of the strongest! and Still CHEAP!!

10. Hire FLO, GUMPY, and someone with Mechanical or Lockpicking skills and own...

Note: The v1.06 or later patch is required to enabled the following codes. At the tactical game screen, hold [Ctrl] and type "g a b b i" to enable cheat mode. Then, enter one of the following codes at the indicated screen to activate the corresponding cheat function:

For these codes to work you need to have v1.06 patch or later. At the 'Tactical' screen Hold Ctrl and type 'gabbi'.

Use the following trick to keep a certain unhired merc
from being killed. When that merc is on-duty, leave a message,
but do not answer the e-mail. This will prevent them from dying,
and they will not leave A.I.M. because you have not replied to
them. They will e-mail you repeatedly, but it is well worth the
aggravation.

You need to have mercs in both sectors you are transfering to and from. First, open the sector inventory, and put the item you want to transfer in the sector inventory. Second, on the left hand side of the screen, it should be displaying the list of all mercs. Third, this is the important part, pick up the item from inventory screen and left click on a merc's destination, as if you are trying to move the merc (the merc has to be on duty in order to do that). The sector inventory screen on the right will disappear and enter the sector movement screen. Fourth, Right-click the mouse to exit the sector movement screen. And TADA! Just simply right-click on any merc's portrait you are transfering the item to, and put it on him. This feature is a little too complex for transfering large amount of items. But in the cases when you are short of a certain type of ammo, it could save you.
