first when the green light appears press shift , it will gear up, again going to some
distance , again green light appears then press shift, like that go on shift ur gears..

you have to press the A key for shifting gear up and press S to shift gear down.whenever
you notice a green light on top press A

go to control setting n look for key to gear up and down. change them to your convenient
keys.
start must be perfect for that keep your speedometer pointer on blue..(up arrow). than
look for blue and Green triangle system at middle of screen.
Gear up when u c green color(this is perfect
shift)

..finally to win the race keep your self ahead from starting..once u find that u r ahead
try to control riding of car using arrow keys..when playing first time u get strike to
traffic..try to avoid this by practice (slow down your car)..once u r on open road move
fast with nitro..

try and get the other guy totaled and then just get through it slowly (only for boss)and
you don't get totaled.

when the green tringle,blue,red come on the screen you have to press shift to change the
gear.

may get totaled, but thats the only thrilling experience about a drag race. In the
beginning stage of the game i.e; before you unlock ROCKPORT, you'll 2nd&3rd class cars, so
if you want to be in lead right through the start, then after having a perfect launch
apply nos only for sec or two and you'll be able to see the green triangle for shifting up
to 2nd gear....Trust me if u do this with a MAZDA RX8 then you'll see.

For those who keep asking, here is a quick guide on drag racing:
1) go to options and see what the key/button for "shift up" is. In drag races, you are
forced to use a manual transmission.
2) when you see the blue icon appear in the middle of your screen, get ready to push the
"shift up" button. As soon as it turns green, hit it once.
3) for steering, your car will automatically turn for you. The only use for your turn keys
is to change lanes, so don't worry about turning around corners or going too fast.
4) avoid other cars. Crashing once disqualifies you from the event.

Drag race is just shifting the gears when you are starting the race don't do so early and
don't hit the nitrous when you. Start the race go to options and check your button that
how to change gears u need manual transmission maybe sometimes its written blown engine
don't forget to do shifting and keep your speed low than when it reaches the red bar aviod
hitting cars or you will be elimanted first time it happen after you are the winner of the
race try this

If u'are using pc whenever u see a triangle in green press shift on ur keyboard!
