Assuming your reading this instead of the guide, I ask you that you not post this guide without my permission. I should inform you now, Gamefaqs.com is the ONLY site that will ever have permission to post this FAQ. EVER. For little help not covered in here, go to the message board. There are many helpful (and a few not-so-helpful people) there. Also, I suggest reading Lord Treant/PyroFalkon's guide. Now, I will try to keep this guide up-to-date, but the Neopian world is ALWAYS changing. What's junk one day is priceless the next. That's another reason why the message boards are so helpful. If your new to Neopets, I urge you to spend some time just exploring the site. New things are added all the time. But, please, keep in mind that this in not the only Neopets FAQ on gameFAQs. There are some very good writers out there, so don't just limit yourself to this guide. +++++++++++++++++++++++++ 2. | ***Version History*** | +++++++++++++++++++++++++ October 21, 2004 - Version 2.01 - Added Destruct-O-Match II, moved Destruct-O-Match I to the Game Graveyard, added Neopian Music Shop to the Bazaar (I had Petpet Supplies listed twice 0_o), added a Useful Information section, added Bori to the Neopet list, corrected The Neopian Bazaar, updated Meri Acres Farm. You will need to find out the secret way to create that particular Neopet. -If a Neopet is limited edition this means that there are only a certain number of them in Neopia. From time to time more limited edition Neopets are released, you just need to keep checking back. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ 3.1. | ***Getting the Limited Edition/Restricted pet*** | ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Yes, TNT likes to screw with you. No, silly, not with regular, boring paint, but with magic paint! To do this, you need a magical Paint Brush. A few things about Paint Brushes: - There is NO Neopian shop that sells Paint Brushes, but you might be able to find one on the Shop Wizard. - Paint Brushes can only be used once, and then they dissapear. - To use a Paint Brush, you need to take it to the Rainbow Pool in Neopian Central, which can be found here: http://www.neopets.com/rainbowpool.phtml - You will sometimes get Paint Brushes through random events. - You can get one (randomly selected) paint Brush by refering 10 people to neopets. - Some Paint Brushes only change your pets color to another color. Others change your pets color to a pattern. Others still transform your pet into strange and magical things. - Not all the Paint Brushes can be used. There are two brushes that have lost there magic and can no longer paint pets. - There are two Paint Brushes that will paint a pet diffrently based on its sex. Other things you should know about Painting a pet: - Not every neopet can be painted any one given color. To see what colors your neopet can be painted, go here: http://www.neopets.com/rainbowpool_allpetcolours.phtml - There is an item called Rainbow Swirly Potion that can change your pets color, sex, species and a few stats. There are over 140 games, which fall into 3 categories - Action, Puzzle, and Luck/Chance. Also, every day there is a different featured game which when played will score you double the amount of neopoints you usually would. Some make better NP than others. Not all the games are listed here. If you have any tips/strategys that you think should be listed here, e-mail them to jelly__soup@hotmail.com (you will be credited). NOTE: "Plays" refers to games in which you sent the score. If you got 400 points, then 350 points, and sent score for both, but then got 100, and didn't send the score, you still have 1 "play" left. ANOTHER NOTE: Remember, the Featured game will give you double the neopoints you win, but there is a 1000np cap to the amount of neopoints you can win from a flash game at any one given time. ____________ 4.1. - ACTION GAMES ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ Quick notes about Action Games: - As paid advertisement games come and go, they will not be listed here. - Action games are, 9 times out of 10, Flash games. That means you need the Flash plugin. If you need it, the game will not load and give you a link to the site you can download it for free at. - Action games 'tend' to give out more neopoints in a shorter amount of time than other games. ========================================================================= *200m Peanut Dash* Difficulty - Easy to medium Reward: 1.3 times your score(appx.) in NP Limit: 3 plays per day You start by violently tapping the left and right arrows on your keyboard alternating. This will give the elephant the power to toss the peanut. You want more power; I like to get about 4/5th of the way down the bar. When you have enough power, tap the up key to toss the peanut. The pupplyblew will take off running. You control the puppyblew, and are racing to catch the peanuts. Unfortunately, there are several logs lying on the ground. You must use a special move to jump these: Left Up Right => Front Flip Right Up Left => Back Flip Up Right => Straight Jump Left Right Left Right Up => 2x Front Flip Right Left Right Left Up => 2x Back flip You get three throws to get as many points as possible. You must catch the peanut to get a score. When you are done, you can send your score if you like it, or try again. Strategie by care_bear_kara@hotmail.com --------------------------------------- The way to really get alot of points is at the beginning, when you give energy to the elephant, tap both the left and right arrow keys at the exact same time until the bar reaches its maximum. This way, you can send the peanut 200 m every single time. Also when jumping over the logs, do not just flip over it, double flip over them every single time. And at the end when catching the peanut, double flip up to catch it, you will get a 50 point bonus. With these strategies, you can get 900 points every single time. =Now accepting Tips/Strategies for this game= ----------------------------------------------------------------------- *Advert Attack* Difficulty: Easy to hard Reward: Your score in NP Limit: 3 plays per day The object is to win a race by clicking the "Go" signs on the bottom half of the screen. They move after every click. Starting with the second round, you will have to deal with pop-up ads on the game screen blocking the "Go" signs. You delete the popups with a red x in their upper-right corner, and if you cant do that, you'll have to move it by clicking along the top and dragging. This can be easy at times, but can get very, very, difficult. =Now accepting Tips/Strategies for this game= ----------------------------------------------------------------------- *Better Than You* Difficulty: Medium to Hard Reward: 1,000 - 20,000 NP, a trophy, and an item Limit: You can beat a challenger once per week Each week neopets puts up a new challenger and a score you need to beat at a certain game to win. The earlier you win, the better a prize you get. Note that you MUST access the game through the Better Than You screen for it to count. The first 10 people to beat the challenger get 20,000 NP and a gold trophy for your user lookup, the next 40 people get 10,000 NP and a silver trophy, the next 450 get 3,000 NP and a bronze trophy, and the other 4500 who win get 1,000 NP and a medal. This varies in difficulty due to the range of games from week to week. NOTE: To have a chance, you need to be there within the hour that the new BTY challenge was started. As of 3/3/04, news is updated at 12:00am NST. Thats when a new BTY challenge would be started. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- *Bumper Cars* Difficulty: Easy Reward: Your score in NP Limit: 3 plays per day Ram the others cars, don't get rammed. Very easy. There also a number of pickups: Wrench, which heals your vehicle; engine, which gives temporary speed burst and increases damage infliction; oil can, which makes turning an adventure; and land mines which badly damage your car. You can play up to 4 humans, but Neopoints are rewarded to solo vs. computer only. =Now accepting Tips/Strategies for this game= ----------------------------------------------------------------------- *Carnival of Terror* Difficulty: Easy Reward: Your score in NP Limit: 3 plays per day A classic wild west shooting game without the Wild West. Shoot the clowns while trying to get the powerups, which fall from the sky, as they will grant more time, more health, or more ammo. Shoot the pies that fly at you, as they will hurt you. Yes, pies are actually bad in this game. =Now accepting Tips/Strategies for this game= ----------------------------------------------------------------------- *Chia Bomber* Difficulty: Medium Reward: Your score in NP Limit: 3 plays per day You're a chia in a crazy world. You try to shoot the other things whilst moving to avoid them. They can set set red mines, watch out for them, and pressing the m key will drop a green mine for your help. You can drop 5 mines per round. You do have infinite ammo. =Now accepting Tips/Strategies for this game= ----------------------------------------------------------------------- *Chomby and the Fungus Balls* Difficulty: Medium Reward: Your score in NP Limit: 3 plays per day A game similar to a classic "Chips Challenge" As you try to collect stars while avoiding little critters and purple "Fungus Balls" Get the green star, and bring it to the Purple circle with a star symbol. Control is very poor. I suggest not playing this game. =Now accepting Tips/Strategies for this game= ----------------------------------------------------------------------- *Deckball* Difficulty: Medium to Hard Reward: 3 times your score in NP Limit: 3 plays per day I really like this game. It's basically soccer one on one. You can play one of 3 modes - Survival, where you score as many goals as you can before the computer scores on you. There is timed mode, where you play for 3 minutes trying to outscore the computer player. And finally, points mode, where it's first to 5 points win. There are 4 powerups/random event things. The cracker will speed you up, or if Mirgle, the CPU gets it, it will slow him down. Anchor, which is the anti-cracker. It will slow you down if you get it, but speed Mirgle up if he gets it. Walls and holes. A wall may appear in front of your goal or your opponents for a random amount of time. A hole will appear inside your goal or Mirgles goal, and if a ball goes in it, it will reappear in the center of the court without a goal being counted. For an in-depth guide, I suggest reading Lord Treant's Deckball FAQ. =Now accepting Tips/Strategies for this game= ----------------------------------------------------------------------- *Defender Trainer* Difficulty: Easy Reward: Twice your score in NP Limit: 3 plays per day Pay attention, there'll be a quiz. Oh wait. This is the quiz. Defender Trainer will test your knowledge of pets, petpets, and food. Sometimes the images will be turned upside down, become smaller, or get shadowed to make it harder for you. They will ask you "What begins with the letter _?" or "Which is an anagram of _____". You can play on one of three difficulties: Easy, which has 4 choices per question, Medium, which has 6 choices, or Hard, which has 9. If you know your neopets, this game should be rather easy. =Now accepting Tips/Strategies for this game= ----------------------------------------------------------------------- *Defenders of Neopia* Difficulty: Easy to hard Reward: Trophy Limit: None To ACTION! This game requires you to track down a thief who has stolen something from a poor Neopian City. Basically, you have to beat whoever stole whatever in a 1-player battledome fight. This means you must have a pretty good pet to get past the first couple rounds. Talking you your supervisor will give you some hints, but it all depends on your pets' strength. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- *Dubloon Disaster* Difficulty: Easy to Medium Reward: Five times your score in NP Limit: 3 plays per day This is one of the first games I play every day. It pits a krawk in a boat against an infinite number of mines while riding around collecting dubloons. The dubloons range in value from two dubloon coins to two hundred dubloon coins. Obviously the lower value ones are much more common. You move the boat using the arrow keys to control. You should get used to the acceleration - deceleration fairly quickly. The big thing to remember is that two mines will explode if they collide. So collect two coins, then position your boat in about the middle of the two. When they get close, continue to position yourself until they collide. Then there are no mines. Repeat this every time after 2 mines. Remember, though, mines will speed up when they get near you. This will take a lot of practice, but when mastered, it should not be uncommon to score 100-200 NP per game. The only other thing to watch out for is a whirlpool, in which case head to the corner farthest away from it until it disappears. =Now accepting Tips/Strategies for this game= ----------------------------------------------------------------------- *Escape from Meridell Castle* Difficulty: Medium Reward: Double your score in NP Limit: 3 plays per day Right away I saw similarities to the old Mario games for NES. You take the role of Valrigard the Draik who needs to escape from a castle to clear his name from a crime he was framed in. You fly using the up, down, left, and right arrow keys. Hitting space bar will swing your sword. Do a test run to get used to the sword's physics. Also, be careful when flying, the collision detection is tough, and you'll need pretty good control to navigate the vertical levels. =Now accepting Tips/Strategies for this game= ----------------------------------------------------------------------- *Evil Fuzzles from Beyond the Stars* Difficulty: Med Reward: 100NP per 100pts scored Limit: 3 plays per day Hop inside your X-Scrub 4000 Walker Bot and patrol the outside of the space station, using your laser cannons to shoot the enemies. Earn points for each kill, and spend these at the end of each level to upgrade your walker. =Now accepting Tips/Strategies for this game= ----------------------------------------------------------------------- *Extreme Herder* Difficulty: Medium Reward: 3 times your score in NP Limit: 3 plays per day A pretty simplistic game. You control Samrin the Kacheek, who is trying to pen the petpets up before Balthazar gets to them. You automatically pickup the petpet if you touch it. If for some reason you want to drop it, press space bar. In the latter stages of the game, you will only be able to put the petpets in from 3 sides, then 2, then eventually 1. The only two powerups are a snowflake, which is helpful because it temporarily freezes Balthazar, and an orange orb, which gives you a temporary speed burst. =Now accepting Tips/Strategies for this game= ----------------------------------------------------------------------- *Extreme Potato Counter* Difficulty: Medium Reward: 7 times your score in NP Limit: 3 plays per day Potatoes will begin to fly across the screen. Your job is to count each and every one. Eventually they will stop, and you will enter a guess. If your guess was, say 10, you'd get 10 points. In further rounds, other things will fly on the screen; try to ignore them. Strategy by Goodbye Galaxy: --------------------------- Count the potatoes in groups of two so your brain doesn't get so cluttered up with numbers. =Now accepting Tips/Strategies for this game= ----------------------------------------------------------------------- *Faerie Bubbles* Difficulty: Easy Reward: 75NP per 100pts scored Limit: 3 plays per day A neopets version of Bust-A-Move and one of Jelly Soups fave games. Faerie Bubbles pop if you get three of the same type together, and it's up to you to clear each level by popping all of them. Use the left and right arrow keys to move the bubble cannon and press the space bar to fire. If you get four or more bubbles together you will set off a combo. The first three are good combos, and the bottom three are bad combos. Water - This destroys all water bubbles on the screen. Light - This changes all bubbles touching the combo to a random colour. Fire - This burns all non-water bubbles that touch the combo. Air - This is BAD. Don't do an air combo, seriously. Earth - This makes a new line of bubbles appear. Dark - All the bubbles in the combo will turn to random types. The less moves you complete each level in, the higher your score will be. Also look out for Nova and Rainbow bubbles, each with their own special effects! =Now accepting Tips/Strategies for this game= ----------------------------------------------------------------------- *Faerie Cloud Racers* Difficulty: Varies Reward: Twice your score in NP Limit: 3 plays per day You pick a faerie, and then try to avoid everything solid while trying to make the other one crash into a wall, or the path you've gone over. See, as you go, what you've gone over becomes solid, and cannot be crossed. There are 3 difficulties, Easy, Medium, and Hard. The rewards are less on Easy, but so are the speeds of the faeries. On hard, you score the most points, but it also has the fastest pace. You can solo play 2 player against a friend, though no NP can be scored. =Now accepting Tips/Strategies for this game= ----------------------------------------------------------------------- *Feed Florg* Difficulty: Medium Reward: Your score in NP Limit: 3 plays per day You have a hand, which you spin around a table, trying to keep the petpets on the table. Every couple of seconds, and new petpet falls on the table. Occasionally, Florg will eat one giving you more points. You get more points for certain petpets. =Now accepting Tips/Strategies for this game= ----------------------------------------------------------------------- *Freaky Factory* Difficulty: Easy Reward: 150NP per 100pts scored Limit: 3 plays per day You drop the colored blobs in to the vat of the matching color. Becarefull, some blobs have special affects and others will change when you click on them. =Now accepting Tips/Strategies for this game= ----------------------------------------------------------------------- *Grand Theft Ummagine* Difficulty: Hard Reward: Twice your score in NP Limit: 3 plays per day Pretty Fun game, easier if you do one thing - Get the guard behind something. He will never go around it, so after that, get the fruit and get out of the level. =Now accepting Tips/Strategies for this game= ----------------------------------------------------------------------- *Grundo's Snowthrow* Difficulty: Easy Reward: Twice your score in NP Limit: 3 plays per day Your trying to kill the snow beasts, what better way then with snowballs. Hold down the left mouse button for power, then release to throw. Snow beasts sometimes go down without dying, so don't be fooled. Remember, you get points for quickness, accuracy, and number of rounds, so just keep that in mind. Strategy by Goodbye Galaxy (gamefaqs): -------------------------------------- To get fast NP. Beat the first round without missing a single shot. In the next round let the bad guys beat you (you can even speed up the process by hitting your own guys, but agian, DON'T miss). The game will give you 100 points for accuracy which, plus round bonuses, is well over 300 neopoints for about 30 seconds work. Get over 1000np in less than two minutes this way. =Now accepting Tips/Strategies for this game= ----------------------------------------------------------------------- *Gourmet Club Bowls* Difficulty: Easy Reward: 100NP per 100pts scored Limit: 3 plays per day In this game, you play against a variety of opponents. You each get to roll one of your bowls (yours are red, your opponent's are blue) down the green to try and get it closest to the jack (the white ball). You may knock your opponent's bowls out of play, and he may do the same to you, but if the jack goes out of play your opponent gets 2 points. At the end of each round, points are awarded depending on the number of bowls in play that you have nearest to the jack. If there are two blue balls closest, that means you score two points. The first to 7 wins the match, and moves on to play a harder opponent! Lastly, watch out, in later levels there may be hazards on the green that will hinder your play. =Now accepting Tips/Strategies for this game= ----------------------------------------------------------------------- *Hannah and the Pirate Caves* Difficulty: Hard Reward: 1NP per 100pts scored Limit: 3 plays per day This is an adventure game, where you play as Hannah. The object is to get to the end of each level, collecting treasure along the way. =Now accepting Tips/Strategies for this game= ----------------------------------------------------------------------- *Hasee Bounce* Difficulty: Easy Reward: 3x your score in np. Limit: 3 plays per day To play Hasee Bounce you will need to use the mouse. Move left and right to position the Hasee in the correct place and then press the left mouse button to make one Hasee jump down and the other Hasee jump up. =Now accepting Tips/Strategies for this game= ----------------------------------------------------------------------- *Ice Cream Factory* Difficulty: Too easy Reward: A fourth of your score in NP Limit: 3 plays per day This game is fun and easy, but not worth it. Why? Points come too slow, and you only get 1/4th of your score in NP. Anyway, the powerups are: Yellow Scoop: Gives you enough points to get to the next level Purple with Chia inside: Makes you smaller Blue with Chia inside: Makes you bigger Red with heart: Extra Life Dark Blue with - inside: Scoops come slower Light blue with + inside: Scoops come faster And one tip: If your in danger, right click, then right click somewhere else to appear there. =Now accepting Tips/Strategies for this game= ----------------------------------------------------------------------- *Igloo Garage Sale* Difficulty: Medium Reward: Half your Score in NP Limit: 3 plays per day The famous Igloo Garage Sale at the top of Terror Mountain has it's own game. Carissa will drop stuff, and Mika has to get them. The hardest part is the acceleration/deceleration of Mika on the bottom. The different things and point values are: Pink bag - 1 point Gray cylinder thing - 2 points Umbrella - 3 points Morphing Potion - 5 points Rainbow thingy - 10 points Dubloon coin - 50 points Bomb - Stuns temporarily Piano - Ends game =Now accepting Tips/Strategies for this game= ----------------------------------------------------------------------- *Jelly Processing Plant* Difficulty: Hard Reward: Twice your score in NP Limit: 3 plays per day This game is tricky because you can only move to set places, not free movement. Use spacebar to pick up jellies and move them to their color-coded bin. If it's Ice cream, let it go to the Skeith's mouth. If you're good at it though, you can make some good NP =Now accepting Tips/Strategies for this game= ----------------------------------------------------------------------- *Korbats lab* Difficulty: Medium Reward: One fifth of your score in NP Limit: 3 plays per day This game takes way too long to get a good amount of NP, so I'd avoid it. But if you want to play it, I suppose I can help. The flame block will take out all blocks below it. A bomb block will take out those around it. From the second level on, use this strategy: At the beginning, position the paddle so the ball is on the left line, then launch it. This will always make it go up the side. The potions are as follows: Purple - Bigger Paddle Purple w/ white bottle - Smaller Paddle Yellow - Inverses controls, left is right, right is left Blue - Slow paddle Red - Ball goes through everything except Korbats and Spyders Black w/ Green Outline - Rocket which will break a wood block Skull - Game Over Flashing green - Faster paddle Bright Orange - Blows up a group of blocks, but makes a skull fall Black w/ red outline - Restart Level Orange w/ red outline - Korbats and Spyders disappear Solid White - Advance to next level =Now accepting Tips/Strategies for this game= ----------------------------------------------------------------------- *Kreludan Mining Corp.* Difficulty: Easy Reward: 140NP per 100pts scored Limit: 3 plays per day God, this game sucks...You have to pick up some rocks with your ship and then guide the ship to the drop point. =Now accepting Tips/Strategies for this game= ----------------------------------------------------------------------- *MAGAX: Destroyer* Difficulty: Medium Reward: Your score in NP Limit: 3 plays per day Pretty fun game. You have to destroy enemies shown on your top radar, the red dots. Momentum is the basis in the game, once you start in a direction, you keep going that direction, continually increasing speed. You have to start going the other way to slow down. Space bar fires the laser. =Now accepting Tips/Strategies for this game= ----------------------------------------------------------------------- *Meerca Chase* Difficulty: Varying Reward: Your score in NP Limit: 3 plays per day Can you say snake? That's exactly what this game is. There are 3 different difficulties which affect the speed of your Meerca, and how many points each negg counts as. Don't get the red neggs, and avoid your tail and the walls. =Now accepting Tips/Strategies for this game= ----------------------------------------------------------------------- *Meriball* Difficulty: Medium Reward: Twice your score in NP Limit: 3 plays per day You take the role of Lisha the Aisha playing Meridells most popular game. You take turns hitting the ball against the wall using space bar. The opponents get gradually harder (faster) as you go on. There are several powerups/traps, including moles that pop up, bombs, slower ball, etc. UPDATE: You can now also play as Boris, Morris, Keyla and Jeran. =Now accepting Tips/Strategies for this game= ----------------------------------------------------------------------- *Mootix Drop* Difficulty: Easy Reward: 150NP per 100pts scored Limit: 3 plays per day To play, use the space bar to launch, and the arrow keys to guide Harry to the target. On the way down there will be a number of rings to fly through. Make sure you guide Harry through as many as possible in order to maximise your score. Flying through the centre of a ring will give you double points! If you quickly tap left or right twice in succession, Harry will do a barrel roll. =Now accepting Tips/Strategies for this game= ----------------------------------------------------------------------- *Neopian Adventure Generator* Difficulty: Varies Reward: Trophie is you make a good adventure. Limit: None Make or read a Choose-Your-Own Adventure thing. They're pretty fun to do actually, even though there is no reward. UPDATE: You can win trophies from this. All you have to do is make an adventure and let people vote on it. =Now accepting Tips/Strategies for this game= ----------------------------------------------------------------------- *Nimmo's Pond* Difficulty: Medium Reward: Half your score in NP Limit: 3 plays per day This IS Asteroids. You're a Nimmo destroying other lily pads by firing with the space bar button. Momentum is a huge factor here, so it takes a while to get used to. You can also snatch bugs and use bombs. Fans of the old game might like it, but don't expect anything groundbreaking. =Now accepting Tips/Strategies for this game= ----------------------------------------------------------------------- *PetPet Battles* Difficulty: Easy Reward: Petpet levels Limit: None Very shoddily done, pointless thing right here. You can only attack head, body, or defend. I guess it could help your pet in battledome, but it won't make a huge difference. I wouldn't play these unless your bored, as a lot of luck is required. =Now accepting Tips/Strategies for this game= ----------------------------------------------------------------------- *PetPet Rescue* Difficulty: Easy Reward: 3 times your score in NP Limit: 3 plays per day In case Asteroids wasn't enough, now we have a Frogger game. Only this time, you have to get petpets back to the main dock part. Get a pet pet and bring him back to the door at the bottom of the screen. You get points per petpet, and pink gems will give you bonus points, which will help get you to the next level. =Now accepting Tips/Strategies for this game= ----------------------------------------------------------------------- *Petpetsitter* Difficulty: Easy Reward: 40NP per 100pts scored Limit: 3 plays per day Mad old Mrs. Williams has gone away and left you in charge of all her Petpets - she has so many of them she simply does not know what to do! Petpets will roam around the house and it's your job to take care of them... =Now accepting Tips/Strategies for this game= ----------------------------------------------------------------------- *Pterattack* Difficulty: Hard Reward: Your score in NP Limit: 3 plays per day A hard but fun game. You need to shoot the Pterodactyls and avoid Grarrls. You |
