Neverwinter Nights: Hordes of the Underdark Q&A

what is fairy dust used for

I have a strategy guide for Hordes of the Underdark. In chapter three, after getting the demonic hand. It says I can go back to the subererranian chamber, and first level of the mimic's cave. I can't find a way to get back to the city of the lost souls.
