Easter Egg - Bonus Players (works for all systems)

On NHL 2003, you can unlock 46 bonus players. if you go to create a player and type an existing player's name in the name column (ex. Mario Lemieux), it will create an exact replica of the Mario Lemieux that was already made. it gives the same facial features and stats. Some other lower rated players on Free Agents (ex, Jason Labarbera, Raffi Torres, Guy Hebert), can also be recreated. Announcers and people that worked on the game can be recreated as well. Commentator Jim Hughson, Rink Announcer Jon McComb, and Color Commentator Mark Crawford can be recreated and even found as draft prospects in dynasty mode. Tip* on dynasty mode, Jon McComb become a 100 rating within a few seasons. Females that worked on the game can be found with male names. (ex. Susan Smith is Steve Smith, and Christine Staples is Christie Staples). Also if you enter any bandmate from the band Barenaked Ladies in create a player mode, they will come up. so if you enter bandmates Jim Creeggan, Tyler Stewart, Steven Page, Ed Robertson, or Kevin Hearn, the bandmates appear as players with ratings and the players also have the same facial features. |
