the installing wizard says error


the cd key is working 100% but when its installing now the computer says
File: E:\data2.cab
Error: Data error ( cyclic redundancy check).

what should i do??? pls someone help me thanx!!

I had same prob...


...I had the same problem and after doing various google searches I tried to clean the
disk (brand new from EB). A quick rub on my jeans and the install continued ok. Unless
you've fixed it, try that.

i also had this problem


i know this is an old post, but for anyone who is re-installing the game and gets this
message (like me) i found out through a bit of trial and error that the game didnt install
unless i got rid of every single file marked resident evil 4 (i had a pic on my pc with
the same name and it didnt work until after i renamed it, then it installed fine) ;P
