Silent Hunter 3 Cheats

Hint: Extra credits (reown):
Note: This procedure involves editing a game file; create a backup copy of the file before proceeding.
Enter the "sh3datacfgcareers" folder. Select the name of the folder that is the same as the career that you are using.
Use a text editor to edit the file Patrols_0.cfg.
Scroll down to your last mission details and change the amount of DeltaRenown that you got paid.
example (DeltaRenown=498.750000 Change to DeltaRenown=6500.750000)
Save the file and start the game.
You can now buy what you like in the game.

Took me ages to realise:

Once completed your mission and invading easy ports etc, surface and send mission report via radio man. You will recieve message, although probs not be able to read it. Then you can return. Once in dock, press exit mission, then you have option to dock at bergen or wherever. Your renown is udated etc

In a Career Game in around 1944 T4 + T5 acoustic Torpedoes become available but you only get 1 or 2 of them as extra's. Load the ones your given into the boat and then click back to the career menu screen. Click on U-boat again, click torpedoes and you should find another couple of acoustic Torpedoes you can load. Load them and repeat the process untill you have all the acoustics you want or fill the whole boat with them. It works 9 out of 10 times. Youll need plenty of renown so use the cheat available for that as well. Go on the mission and take out those pesky destroyers no probs - Happy Hunting.
