Cheats - Code - Effect
-nosound - Disables sound

Swim in the ground
Make sure your land is flat, buy a swimming pool (any size) and then hold down Ctrl and shift and C. A box will appear and you will need to type move_objects on. After you type that press enter (duh) and then get your sim to swim in the pool. When they are in the pool, go into buy mode, pick up your sim (cool if you havn't learnt to do this already) and drag them somewhere other than the pool. e.g. bring them into the kitchen. They will continue to swim even though they are in the ground. Have fun!

Faster way to enter money cheats..
All you have to do is enter the money cheat, (motherlode) , and press enter, then press your controls ^ the arrow up... (you usually use those for games you play) then you press enter... keep repeating this over and over again to get money faster...

Age Quicker
This cheatcode is-agingquick3 it alwows your toddlers to grow up into an adult in 5 seconds:Select the todler you want to grow up and then type in the cheat and they will become an adult!~!

Faster wall paint
To paint the walls faster push down the mouse then the shift botton at the same time then let go of the mouse and then the shift to paint the walls faster.

Floating Sim !!!
whilst playing, pause the game and hold down shift, control and c and to your surprise (hopefully) a small ( or large, depending if you have dome other cheats)will appear at the top of your screen. type in the words moveobject on and then select buy mode and again to your surprise you can move your sim around !!! next, buy a bed ( shouldn't matter what one) and tell your sim to relax. then once your sim is relaxing, pause the game, go to buy mode, and move your sim somewhere in the house. resume the game and amazingly your sim will be floating in midair !!!!!!!!

Smart Skills
Combine aspiration rewards for even bigger boosts. For example, if your Sim is wearing a Thinking Cap and feeds Smart Milk to their Toddler, the Toddler builds skill four times as fast...submitted by: erin
Kaching
Kaching gives you 1000 simoleans PLUS if you press ;!;!;!;! and so on after it you will get an xtra 100 simoleans for each one AND if you end it with 1 and hold down enter it will say sorry no such cheat but your money will still go up another 1000 simoleans.

Post Processing
boolProp enablePostProcessing true = Turns Postprocessing on.
boolProp enablePostProcessing false = Tuens Postprocessing off.
This will enable the use of postprocessing cheats (see below) very useful
for movie making (also see below). Please note that you must have a video card
that can handle pixel shaders in order to successfully use this cheat. If you use the
cheats and you donĘt have pixel shaders, the screen will most likely go partially
dark, and will not come back until you turn off enablePostProcessing. If you turn
on postprocessing, and you turn on cinematics, and a cinematic plays, you may
also experience unwanted graphical glitches.
To use the following cheats, you must have "PostProcessing" enabled!
bloom rgb # = Sitcom flashback blur effect
bloom [r g b #] (rgb is color) (# is the bloom amount) [0.0 - 1.0]:
This cheat adds a blur effect, like a sitcom flashback moment.
Must have entered boolProp enablePostProcessing true for this cheat to work.
vignette # # # = Blurry bits at the edge of the screen.
vignette [centerX centerY X] (X is the vignetteing factor) [0.0 - 1.0]: Adds a blur
effect from the specified center. Using "vignette 0.5 0.5 0.5" should put some
blurry bits at the edge of the screen. Vignette 0.5 0.5 1.0 is maximum edge
blurryness. Must have also entered boolProp enablePostProcessing true for
this cheat to work.
filmGrain # = Grainy screen (# = 0.0 to 1.0)
This cheat makes the screen grainy. Must have also entered boolProp

letterBox # = Adds a letterbox effect to the view. (# = 0.0 to 0.4)

Free job promotions
1. To start off, you need to open the cheat box and type 'aging off' (your Sim must be an Adult Male).
2. Get the career you want.
3. Go to work until you bring home a female friend.
4. Get 100/100 relationship and full love for this person. Now send her home.
5. After work, invite your girlfriend over, then bring her to the hot tub and do a WooHoo (if she rejects you, wait until later and try again).
6. Do WooHoos every day for 1 week (e.g. Sunday to Sunday) AND YOU MUST NOT GET A PROMOTION DURING THIS TIME OR THE CHEAT WILL NOT WORK.
7. You must now invite your girl over to your house just before work, then leave for work while she's with you. SAVE NOW.
8. Now: during work you'll be asked a question (with three options: ignore, option 1 and option 2). You must either: click ignore or get the right answer. NOTE: If this message does not come, something is wrong, begin the cheat over.
9. That day, after work, you will come home and will make a pile of money -- there will be about 8-12 messages on the side saying you got promoted to the next job, plus you get one saying you reached the top, blah blah blah.
NOTE: If anything above did not work for you, the cheat HAS NOT WORKED. TRY AGAIN.
10. Enjoy your top rank job! SAVE.
If you're wondering how I figured this out, it was pure coinsidence... I always do a WooHoo with SOMEONE when I come home from work, it's a mood booster.

Age Certain Sims, Keep Others The Same Age
press ctrl+shift+C and type in "moveobjects on". go to Save, and save the game. Go to Buy Mode, and select the sim you DONT WANT TO AGE AT ALL, and delete him/her(them), but DONT delete the sims you want to age. when you have deleted the desired charaters, turn free will on in the options bar. Press fast forward, and the sim(s) will take care of themselves until you have them at the desired ages. then save, go to nieghborhood, and click your sims house, the UNaged sims will be waiting at the mailbox
Bald Sims
Activate the cheat 'moveobjects on'. Buy the Noodlesoother or Thinking Cap from the Aspirations Rewards. Get your Sim to put on the item. Then, go to Buy Mode and take off their caps. You will eventually take it off, ven the hair too. As a result, your Sim will get bald!
To cancel this glitch, do not delete the cap and put it back onto your Sim.
Big/Little Sims
Open the cheat box and type in: StretchSkeleton
After entering, you will not have either big/little sims.
Custom Painting
To decorate your house with custom artwork, first your sim must have a creativity level of 5 and be able to paint a still life. Have your sim paint and a frame will appear that you can center on whatever you want to paint. If you want to paint a picture of something outside the Sims 2 game, just press C anywhere at this time. This will pause the game.
Use Alt + Tab to exit the game, then open a picture program such as Paint and open the snapshot you just took, it will usually be in the folder: C:My DocumentsEASims2StorytellingSnapshot.bmp
Then, you also have to open the picture you want to have in your game. If your picture is too large resize it so it will fit in the original snapshot from the game. Copy your custom picture on to your snapshot from the game, then save the picture. Use Alt + Tab to get back to your game and your sim will start painting your own custom picture. Using this trick you can put pictures of your friends or family, web pictures, or anything else in your Sims 2 game.
Debug Mode
Open the cheat menu by pressing Ctrl + Shift + C, then entering the following:
boolProp testingCheatsEnabled true
While in Create-a-Sim, press Shift + N before creating your first sim to enable skintones, clothes, and hairstles that would normally be used only by NPCs. Press Shift + M to disable it.
While in Live mode, Shift + Click on a sim to bring up the debug menu.
Get Full Mood Bars
first, press Ctrl+Shift+C and type into the cheats bar, "moveobjects on", then, save your game so the characters dont loose their gains and skills they have gathered since the last save, after you do that, go to buy mode, click your characters, delete them. Go to options, choose return to nieghborhood, click yes when it asks you to save your game. when you are in your nieghborhood, click back on your sims house, when your family is loaded, they will appear at the mailbox with full mood bars, and new Wants and Fears
Get somewhere faster!
Open the cheat menu by typing in Ctrl+Shift+C at the same time. Then type moveobjects on. When you've done this go to buy mode and with the hand tool you should be able to pick up and move a sim. Then you can move the sim to their carpool, kitchen, ect.!
Make adult with grow up aspiration and platinum mood
This cheat only works on toddler or kid.
1. First press ctrl+shift+C, and type "moveobjects on" (without quotes).
2. When there's a notification about your toodler only 1 day left to grow into kid and that's a time to make a birthday party, insteadmake a party, buy a table and put a bithday cake on it.
3. Then bring your toodler to blow candles. Exactly when your toddler spin and grow into kid, pause the game. click on the birthday cake and delete it. then buy a new birthday cake, click your kid and make him/her to blow the candle again. After that, unpause the game.
4. Exactly when your kid spin and grow into teen, pause the game. click on the birthday cake and delete it. then buy a new birthday cake, click your teen and make him/her to blow the candle again. After that, unpause the game.
5. now you have an adult sims with grow up ability. Another step is fullfil this sims aspiration until reaches top, you will see that the aspiration bar will decreased very slow and even does not decrease at all, so you got an adult sim with grow up ability and platinum mood.
Make your sims stick together
you can make your sims stick together so that they walk around with the other sim on there hand! all you need to do is this:
1.put the move objects cheat on by typing moveobjects on in the cheat bar
2.move one of your sims into a large area
3.get another sim, and using the move objects cheat you should be able to pick the up with the hand, when in buy mode, and place them on the body of your other sim.
e.g move the sim where the other sim is standing and he should stand on his head , arm or his body!
another funny bit is is that sometimes, because there is a sim stuck to him, he puts him down like if he was a baby and kisses him on the cheek!
More Money, Money, Money!
To get more money follow these basic steps:
1.get up the cheat code bar,
2.type in rosebud !;!;!;!;!;!;!;!;!;.(note: you can do the !;!; bit as much as you want!)
Emergency Money
Do you have a big family, if you do then you're probably having a hard time trying to make enough money for them all. What you can do though is kill them. Spouses make up to 20,000 simoleans and kids make up to 10,000 simoleans each.
Use your own videos for the TV
It's possible to watch your own videos on the Sim-TV. You must put the video you want into MyDocuments/EaGames/TheSims2/Music/(the TV sender you want). If you then turn on the TV in the game you can watch it! The video must be .avi-clips and the clips shouldn't be larger then 128x128 pixel also it shouldn't have more then 15 frames per second.
Move your family to another neighborhood
Is you neighborhood getting too filled with the family you started with? Well you can move to another neighborhood. Go to the neighborhood view, and put the house that you want to move (With the family in it) into the houses bin then go to the neighborhood you want to put it in where you ever you want it. I havn't tested this but I imagine this will break up the family unfortunatly so this should only be used in despirate situations.
