Adult and elder sims can make the decision to move out through choices availibale when using the newspaper or computer. They dont have to hof it alone;they can take other family members with them. These offshoot families are moved to the families bin.,from where you can move them to a new lot. Adult and elder sims can also join an exsisting household through marriage or invitation. If they are invited,they can ring other family members along as well.
