what do i do i can't reascue the general for PSI ops and can't defeat the plasma bug plz help

i get stuck on rescueing the PSI ops generalas i can't find him or kill the bugs cos they keep on coming wihle i'm trying to kill the tanker can't they stop and i don't have a rocket launcher to kill the tanker quickley so i'm running about all the time and dy...

i'm on the bait mission and i got to the part to kill 2 tanker bugs and after i kill them i'm vastly outnumbered by thousands of warrior and tiger bugs then i last till the Rino bugs then thats when i die - died like 20 - 30 times can't seem to hold out much...

please somebody help me out, what the hell does it mean to start the game with
