Walkthrough - Swords and Sandals 2 walkthrough Part 4: Marksman DantusDear everybody, Please take the time to read this before you read the walkthrough.. I would like to know if I should add a little mini shop on the side containing everything in the shop you can purchase at this time, and also a monetary range you should have when at certain points. Please give me feedback on this walkthrough. Like what I should add or remove. Thanks. Welcome back to my Walkthrough! Sorry for the big portion of time where I stopped, I am still going to school and between homework, schooling, work, and friends, it's hard to sit down and create a legitimate walkthrough like this. But here we go for part 4! This is my 4th walkthrough for Swords and Sandals 2. It only Goes 1 boss per segment due to my busy working schedule. You may notice whilst reading this, the things are more obvious to understand because I got a complaint which said i'm "To General and not specific enough. Make it more obvious" Well, if this isn't obvious enough, the complainer is a dumb... -refraining from profanity- Version 1.0: Came out 7/28/11 Made with just John The Butcher. Version 1.1: Obsolete version. Added The Evil Ninja and some corrections in my grammar. Version 1.2: Added the hardest tournament champ, The Son of Stylonius - made walkthrough a little simpler to read and comprehend; And fixed grammar again, I see more and more mistakes as I go on, oh no. Version 1.3: Officially created Thursday, January 19th, 2012. Once again, edited grammar, and added Marksman Dantus to the walkthrough! Also added a new theme to my walthrough, I will put the boss name and the difficulty up when I approach one on the walkthrough. I.e: ======================================================================Boss: John Doe Difficulty: 1-5 ====================================================================== The difficulty rating works on a 1 to 5 scale, 1 being very easy and 5 being insanely difficult. ====================================================================== Legal Stuff ====================================================================== Copying of this walkthrough is prohibited. I'm trying something no one else has yet to try, make a swords and sandals 2 walkthrough. I will be doing them in Segments as for I am to lazy to do the whole game in 1 walkthrough, plus I probably couldn't complete it in 1 day. Oh well. In this walkthrough, I will be telling you what stats to put on to make your best chances of completing this game. I will be showing you what armors to buy and when, and same going for the weapons. Please notice I'm not putting the controls in because they are straight forward and they tell you what they do ingame anyways. Shall we move on to the Stats? ====================================================================== 2.0 Stats & What they do S&W ====================================================================== This shows you each of the 8 stats and what they do. Strength: Increases your Damage potential in battle. Also increases the distance at which you shove your enemy. Also effects Height/Weight. Weapons available through Strength: Maces and Axes. Agility: Increases the distance of how far you can move or jump. Weapons available through Agility: Swords and Bows. Attack: Increases your chance to hit the enemy successfully. DOES NOT tie in with Strength or Damage in ANY way. Defence: Increases your chance to successfully block or dodge an attack. DOES NOT tie in with Armor amounts. Vitality: Increase overall HP amounts, and also increase HP recovered from resting. Charisma: Increases chance to successfully taunt your opponent and decreases costs of items in the shops. Stamina: Increases overall stamina. Stamina is like Energy, when it hits 0 you can't do anything next round, your forced to rest. Doing anything and everything will decrease Stamina. Although, if your enemy hits you, you will recover a small portion of your stamina. Magicka: Lets you buy spells and potions ingame. Nothing else. ====================================================================== 3.0 The Walkthrough WLK ====================================================================== Alright lets get started. Click play and "Create New Character." Now your at your character creation screen. You can name him what you like, and make him look however you like, but I will tell you how to stat your character. First off, we get 9 stat points to spend. Stat points just allow you to increase a certain stat by a certain amount, which in this game, is and always will be 1. So what you need to do is put 2 points on Strength, 3 on Agility and 4 on Attack. So your characters current stats should be: Strength: 3 Agility: 4 Attack: 5 Defence: 1 Vitality: 1 Charisma: 1 Stamina: 1 Magicka: 1 Now you click the check, and the game begins... You start with a cutscene filled with useless info. You can click anywhere to skip it if you'd like. Now, we engage in our first battle against the Fearful Prisoner. You can't lose this battle. All you have to do is walk up to him and quick attack him and he dies. Your rewards are 2500 gold and 243 EXP. You also have leveled up! You get 4 stat points per level. Put all 4 stat points on Agility. So now your stats should be like this: Strength: 3 Agility: 8 Attack: 5 Defence: 1 Vitality: 1 Charisma: 1 Stamina: 1 Magicka: 1 Once you do that, click the check. Its day 1 for you as a gladiator........ ====================================================================== 3.1 John The Butcher JTB ====================================================================== Now your in town. Click on the word "Armory" in the bottom right corner. It brings you to the Armor shop. There we need to buy 3 things. Brigand Boots, Peasant Shin Guards and Brigand Greaves. This will give you enough Armor points to be able to be safe in battle for awhile. Now, go to the Magic Shop and click "Enchant Weapon" Select the picture of the Wraith, and right below it click the biggest Octagon there, then click the check. It costs 0 gold since the Rusty Knife isn't a weapon available ingame (I consider the prison area not a part of the game, just a prelude.) Now in the top left corner, you will find "Arena" Click it, once inside click duel. You can't click tournament just yet, you're to low of a level. So click duel. This will bring you to a 1 on 1 fight against someone else. NO it's NOT another person playing this game you're facing (you can tell because all of them suck hehehe.) (Note: make sure your opponent has less than 20 Armor points, or else he might be able to kill you. Also, don't face anyone with a Bow, they can kill you in 1-2 rounds also, and they can be all the way across the field. Also note: These battles are to the pain, which means once your armor is gone and you get hit again, you lose. All that happens at this point is you lost about 5-10% of your gold depending on how much you have and what level you are.) So, once you find a weak opponent click the check (To leave if the selected enemy is to strong, click the door button not the check) and fight him the same way you fought the Fearful Prisoner. After that battle, you will most likely level up. Again, you get 4 stat points like you always will. Put all 4 on Agility. Your new stat amounts should be: Strength: 3 Agility: 12 Attack: 5 Defence: 1 Vitality: 1 Charisma: 1 Stamina: 1 Magicka: 1 You learned a new in-battle skill: Win the Crowd. If you infatuate the crowd more, the more money you will receive for winning. I would highly recommend doing this in a tournament, since you can outrun all but 2 champions at this point. Ok, now keep dueling until your level 4. Then you cant duel anymore. You must enter a tournament first... Once you level, again, you get 4 stat points. But, a new thing.. PUT ALL 4 ON ATTACK!! Now your stats should look like this: Strength: 3 Agility: 12 Attack: 9 Defence: 1 Vitality: 1 Charisma: 1 Stamina: 1 Magicka: 1 Click the check, now we go to business. First, stop at the weapons shop. If you can afford the Shuriken, Buy it. If not, buy the best sword and/or bow you can afford. Now go to the armor shop, buy the best shoulderguards or gauntlets (or both) you can get (most likely peasant.) It's time to enter a tournament. If you lose in a tournament battle, the game is over and you have to start over. The first 2 battles shouldn't be to difficult. The champion is the one to worry about. His name is John The Butcher. If for whatever reason you level, put the 4 points on vitality. Now your stats should be: Strength: 3 Agility: 12 Attack: 9 Defence: 1 Vitality: 5 Charisma: 1 Stamina: 1 Magicka: 1 ====================================================================== Boss: John the Butcher Difficulty: 1 ====================================================================== Now its time to fight John the Butcher. Not really too difficult if you know what your doing. Start of using all your arrows using Bombard, or if you have a sword only, charge him to put on some damage, then next round run off, keep repeating this process. Then once your at your weapon, you can confront and attack him, when your HP gets low, jump away and rest, and keep repeating this process until he eventually falls at the tip of your blade (or arrow). Once you win, you will either get 10000 or 12000 gold, depending on a damage, life lost/dealt, and attack and defense ratio. Please correct me if I'm wrong. When your done, go to the armor shop. Buy the Brigand Breastplate, Brigand Shin Guards, Brigand Greaves. And if you have enough, buy peasant/cutpurse/brigand shoulderguards/helm/gauntlet. Now we start to get deeper into the game... ====================================================================== 3.2 The Evil Ninja TEN ====================================================================== Ok, do what you would normally do, which is duel. Except this time, you should be able to handle ANY opponent. So, once you level, put all 4 on Agility. New Stats: (im going to abbreviate now to save some time.) Str: 3 Agi: 16 Atk: 9 Def: 1 Vit: 5 Cha: 1 Sta: 1 Mag: 1 Now you know what to do, get to level 7 now. I dont remember if it's level 6 or 7 that you get another in battle move. It's called Psyche Up (It's a bad move I wouldn't recommend using it at all.) Anyways, Duel till you get level 7. This time, put 2 points on Agility and 2 on Attack. New Stats: Str: 3 Agi: 18 Atk: 11 Def: 1 Vit: 5 Cha: 1 Sta: 1 Mag: 1 Ok, now its time to go for the 2nd tournament. But first, we need to stop in the weapon and armor shops. In the weapon shop, buy the bow that requires 18 agility to wield. (I forgot them namely.) Then after that buy the best sword you can (try to have some money left like atleast 2,000.) Now, go to the armory. Buy the veteran boots, shins, and greaves. And if you have enough for veteran breastplate/shoulder/gauntlets, by all means, BUY EM! This next arena champion is a little harder than John the Butcher. His name is the Evil Ninja. And guess what bow he has? That's right, the shuriken, and he has a really junky sword. So, deal with the 3 gladiators before him. If you level (which you most likely won't) put 2 on Agility and 2 on Attack. New Stats: Str: 3 Agi: 20 Atk: 13 Def: 1 Vit: 5 Cha: 1 Sta: 1 Mag: 1 ====================================================================== Boss: The Evil Ninja Difficulty: 1/1.5 ====================================================================== Now for the Evil Ninja. It's time to fight bow VS. bow. He maybe 3% of the time can kill you, he's one of the easiest champion in my opinion. But enough said. Do the same thing you did to John The Butcher, bombard his head, then do mostly normal attacks. He has alot of armor and decent HP. Eventually he will fall. You will win either 17500 gold, 20000 gold or 22500 gold. Afterwards, go to the armor shop, buy veteran everything (you should have enough for them all, if you don't, skip the shield since we will be doing alot of bowing, and a shield won't help us at all with a bow equipped.) ========================= 3.3 Son of Stylonius ========================= Alright! Lets get the hardest part of the game OVER with. Like before, we duel, but this time, the tournament is at level 9, so we only get one level in. It will start taking longer and longer to level, so after this tournament your going to need to be patient. Once you get level 9, put all but one point on attack, put the other on Agility. New stats: Str: 3 Agi: 21 Atk: 16 Def: 1 Vit: 5 Cha: 1 Sta: 1 Mag: 1 Go to the Weapon's Shoppe. Buy the 21 Agility Bow AND Sword. Then go to Armory (Only go here if you don't have something in the Veteran Set.) Then, go to the arena, and lets get this hardest tournament over with. Get rid of the 4 noobs who are in your way. It's time to fight the Son of Stylonius. This guy can spam hits almost up to 100 damage, which is 33% of your armor, and about 50% of your health. If you level within the tournament, but 2 on attack and 2 on Vitality. New stats: Str: 3 Agi: 21 Atk: 18 Def: 1 Vit: 7 Cha: 1 Sta: 1 Mag: 1 ====================================================================== Boss: Son of Stylonius Difficuly: 4.5/5 ====================================================================== Do the exact same thing as you did in the first 2 tournaments. Bombard him with your arrows, then charge him. BUT!!!! Once you hit him, BACK OFF! He likes to waste 2 turns charging for Psyche Up. Just keep healed, you will most likely be fine. When I first started this game, this guy always killed me. But then I found out this strategy, and I killed him really easily. Once he falls, you get something like 27500-30000 gold. (Don't remember) So, you have nothing to buy right now. ====================================================================== 1.3 Part 4: Marksman Dantus MKD ====================================================================== Welcome back! Now it is time to get into the part of the game that really requires alot of patience. We are now heading for the 4th boss of the game. Start off like you usually would, by dueling against opponents. I forgot to add this near the beginning, but about now or a little earlier, you will start getting random events, like someones cat is stuck in a tree for example, and if you do these things successfully, or outsmart someone or help someone, etc. it will provide a few stat bonuses or possibly alot of gold. (I was saving for Champion Gear and won 30,000,000 gold for winning a jester game.) So be careful of those. They can help you, or hurt you. So, go duel with your character and own some noobs, and then you will eventually reach level 10 if you didn't already. I put the stat ups in the 3rd portion of this walkthrough. So, keep going until you get level 11. Add all 4 to Agility. New Stats: Str: 3 Agi: 25 Atk: 18 Def: 1 Vit: 7 Cha: 1 Sta: 1 Mag: 1 Now keep going until you eventually reach level 12. Add 2 on Agility and 2 on Attack. Your new stats should be like this: Str: 3 Agi: 27 Atk: 20 Def: 1 Vit: 7 Cha: 1 Sta: 1 Mag: 1 Ok, now make a quick stop to the Armory, time for new armor. Buy the best armor you can afford (which should be Retarius or something like that. Please tell me what it is.) And then go to the store and buy the sword and bow that require 27 Agility. Now, before I go on, I want to mention something about duels. In a duel, the game randomly generates a character which can have any weapon, and any AVAILABLE armor (so it could have a daikatana but it can't have armor you don't.) This also goes for potions and magic, he could have molten death or something. So be careful when fighting, they sometimes randomly generate an opponent that is WAY to strong for you. It happens alot. But enough of that, lets get into Tournament 4! This tournament has 5 randomly generated characters, so slash your way through them and get to the boss. ======================================================================Boss: Marksman Dantus Difficuly: 2 ====================================================================== This boss is a pain. He has a level 3 enchanted bow that can do upside 100 damage. Your bow can easily compete with that, but not your health. And, unlike the evil ninja, he has a pretty good sword. Just bombard him with your 10 arrows (forgot to add that you get a bigger arrow quiver 9 levels.) Then charge in, attack him, and if your low on health (if he can actually dig through your armor) fall back and rest, then go back up and defeat him. You will get about 30,000 gold upon completion of this Tournament. If you have not already, get the rest of the Retarius set. Then that's it until next time. Until then, see you later! ====================================================================== 4.0 Conclusion/Contact CTI ====================================================================== Ok I hope I helped. I will be making more of these, adding on the previous info aswell. Please email me at jasonmartolli@aol.com if you'd like to help me make the rest of this walkthrough, or just to say anything that could be improved. Thanks!
