I am stuck on level one how do i do the sloth swig

I can only seem to catch the tanner boy the first round... the other times i don't seem to be able to! it's so frustrating çause i can't get any further in the game! can someone help me out?

I bought the game and have only played it 3 times because I am fed up with starting back at the beginning. Each time I have played for about an hour. Now I have lost interest. I go past checkpoints but nothing is ever saved. PLEASE HELP SOMEONE.
