i got a laptop the other day to play my sims on. and it works real good but i cant get the
cheat bar to show up. yerr i really need help.

There is no answer to this madness, I have the same problem as well.

I have a brand new HP laptop, works like a charm except for this problem.....cant get the
cheats to show up either. I'm running Vista Home on mine...wonder if that has something
to do with it? Something in Vista? Who else here is running what o/s with this game?

ok well i have the exact same problem on my new compaq laptop. i've been trying 2 figure
it out. i waz looking it up on google and found this : Shift Ctrl Windows C
(windows is the button that has the windows logo on it)
Not all at the same timee though, one after anotherr and for some reason it works on all
HP Laptops (:

i got a hp laptop and the cheat bar doesnt pop up when i enter any of these cheats:
[ctrl]+[shift]+c or [ctrl]+[alt]+[windows]+c. whats wrong??!!

when you are not in the sims two press [ctrl]+[shift]+c and see if any programs pop
up...if so then right click on the program and change the short cut to something
else...then start up the sims game and after its loaded and whatnot try [ctrl]+[shift]+c
again and see if that fixes your problem...it did for me
