Mortimer Goth made his fortune, the Pleasants put down roots, and a new generation of Sims was born. But the peaceful, happy existence is in jeopardy when some new arrivals to Pleasantview start stirring up trouble, creating rivalries and tensions for all the families in the neighborhood. Can anything be done to restore the peace to sleepy, idyllic Pleasantview? Cassandra's ready to start a family of her own, but can she tame the town Casanova? And can Mortimer bounce back after the disappearance of his wife, Bella? Was it just coincidence that the Caliente sisters arrived on the eve of Bella's disappearance? And is there interest in Mortimer physical... or fiscal? Who is Don Lothario? Is his engagement to Cassandra Goth genuine? And what about the rumor that her mother, Bella, was last seen scaling the deck of his condo? Brandi was left to raise two boys alone following her husband's suspicious pool ladder accident. With Dustin acting out, can Brandi teach young Beau to make the right choices in life? On the surface, Daniel and Mary-Sue Pleasant seem to have the perfect life, but is their love a flimsy facade? And can Angela and Lilith make the right choices when it comes to love? Darren's pursuing his dream of being an artist, while his song Dirk hits the books. Darren may have found his muse, but will his creativity be enough to win Cassandra's affection? -Families- When you load the town, you'll see that there are 6 families already in a house. These families are the Brokes', Caliente, Dreamer, Goth, Lothario, and Pleasant. If you look in the family bin, you'll see that there are 2 families there waiting to be placed into a home. Those families are Burb and Oldie. -==- ------------ Strangetown: ------------ -Story of the town-: An aspiration for knowledge has attracted a diversity of truth-seekers to this small community along the Road to Nowhere. Can they learn to accept their neighbors, or will their differences clash and spell ruin for the town? And are the reports of a Bella Goth sighting fact or fiction? In Strangetown, nothing is what it seems. In search of truth and mystery, the three Curious brothers, Pascal, Vidcund and Lazio, got more than they were "expecting." Can they cope with their new roles as cosmic parents? After a fruitful career, Pollination Technician 9 has retired to his favorite planet. Can his son Johnny make friends and fit in, or is this family just too strange for Strangetown? What experiments are the highly secretive and less than neighborly Loki and Circe Beaker performing on poor Nervous Subject? Will this secrecy affect Circe's career ambitions? Tank has always lived under the hard thumb of his father, General Buzz Grunt. In this domesticated boot camp, can Tank prove his worth to this demanding Dad? Who's buried in Olive Specter's garden? Will the mysterious, aging outcast leave her fortune to her niece Ophelia, or, as rumored, to an unnamed heir? -Families-: Like Pleasentview, there are default families in the bin and already in houses. The families that are in houses are Beaker, Curious, Grunt, Smith, and Spector. The ones in the bin are Loner and Singles. -==- ------------ Veronaville ------------ -Story of the town-: Two houses, alike in dignity... The Capps and Monty's have been feuding for years, but that hasn't stopped the younger generation from crossing boundaries and falling in love. Will their actions lead to ruin, or bring the families together? Patrizio Monty never forgot Consort Capp's broken promise. But now his grandson Romeo has fallen for the Capp heiress. Will the Elders live to see the two families united? Juliet Capp has fallen for Romeo, golden child of the rival Monty clan. Can the Capps set aside their grudge and put Juliet's happiness first? The Summerdreams' kindly nature and zest for life have cast a romantic spell over Veronaville's youth. But will there be any magic left for Puck? -Families-: Again, we have the different families in the bin as well in houses. The families that are located in the houses are Capp, Monty and Summerdream. In the bin is Capp, Capp, Monty and Monty. -------------- Community Lots -------------- Community Lots is a place that your sims can meet up in. To head to one, pick up a phone with your sim and call a taxi. From there, pick the lot you wish to go to. There are two to three different ones in each neighborhood. On these lots your sims can enjoy a BBQ, buy some new clothes, buy magazines and games. This also allows to you make new friends by meeting some of the townies. You can also build your own lot. All you need to do is lay down a green square of land and setting it as a community lot. There you can enter it and build whatever you like on it. Money isn't an issue here since you have no limit. So feel free to let your imagination run wild. -==- [Creating a Sim] -Create a Sim with Bodyshop- Before the Sims 2 was released, people had the option to make Sims and more with something called "Bodyshop". If you have installed the Sims 2, you most likely already have Bodyshop installed. To launch it, just go to your EA Games folder from the Start Menu. From there, you are given a screen with a list of various sims. You can clone of them or create something new. If you want to clone a sim, select the sim you want to clone and click the icon with two sim figures and a check mark on it. Now all you need to do is make it so the sim is the way you want him/her to be. To create a brand new sim, launch bodyshop as described above. When you reach the screen with the different sims, click on the big box with the Plus (+) in it. Here, you'll see on the left various things like gender, age, fitness, etc. Just click on them to customize your sim the way you want her/him to be. -==- -Create a Sim in Game- Creating a Sim in the game is a bit different then using bodyshop. To create a sim in the game, you need to launch it. From there, choose the neighborhood you want the Sim(s) to live in. When the neighborhood loads, you'll see the family bin on the bottom. You should see a big button to the left with a family and a plus (+) sign on it. Click it to start creating your family. Just like in bodyshop, you'll see various things to the right. Instead of pictures, they are numbers. Click on the numbers for the different clothes, genetics, etc for your sim. This allows them to be nice, neat, active and so on. This is usually based off of their astrological sign. Changing the skills changes their sign. Below you'll find out about their different traits of sims. -Neat vs. Sloppy- Sloppy Sims have the habit of not picking up after themselves, flushing the toilet or making the bed. Neat Sims have no problem doing that, taking out the trash, or cleaning up rotten food. If you have a sloppy sim, it's best to hire a maid to clean up. -Active vs. Lazy- Lazy sims just want to lounge on the couch and watch TV. They don't much care for any physical activity such as working out. A lazy sim who watches TV tends to get more fun from it then an active sim. Active sims like to work out or go swimming. Active sims also have the ability to run anywhere even if it is only a few feet in front of them. -Shy vs. Outgoing- Shy sims don't like to socialize much with other sims. They much prefer to stick to themselves. This also allows their social bar to decrease at a slower rate. Outgoing sims love to talk to other sims. These types of sims also have the habit of saying something every time they enter a room with other sims. A sim who is very outgoing will enter a hot tub naked. -Serious vs. Playful Serious sims don't like to 'play'. Instead, they find it more fun to play chess then to be tickled. Usually a serious sim will earn logical skills faster then any other sim as well. Playful sims love to tickle people and be tickled. They get more social from playing then a serious sim would. -Grouchy vs. Nice- Grouchy sims have a very hard time getting along with other sims. These are the type of sims that like to poke your sim and cause fights. These sims also have the option to prank call someone but only if you have no points in this area. Nice sims on the other hand, have no problem making friends. -Default Personality Traits- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sign [Sloppy/Neat|Shy/Outgoing|Lazy/Active|Serious/Playful|Grouchy/Nice] ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Aries [5 Points - 8 Points - 6 Points - 3 Points - 3 Points] Taurus [5 Points - 5 Points - 3 Points - 8 Points - 4 Points] Gemini [4 Points - 7 Points - 8 Points - 3 Points - 3 Points] Cancer [6 Points - 3 Points - 6 Points - 4 Points - 6 Points] Leo [4 Points - 10 Points - 4 Points - 4 Points - 3 Points] Virgo [9 Points - 2 Points - 6 Points - 3 Points - 5 Points] Libra [2 Points - 8 Points - 2 Points - 6 Points - 7 Points] Scorpio [6 Points - 5 Points - 8 Points - 3 Points - 3 Points] Sagittarius[2 Points - 3 Points - 9 Points - 7 Points - 4 Points] Capricorn [7 Points - 4 Points - 1 Point - 8 Points - 5 Points] Aquarius [4 Points - 4 Points - 4 Points - 7 Points - 6 Points] Pisces [4 Points - 3 Points - 7 Points - 3 Points - 7 Points] ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- -Sims' Interests- Each sim you meet or make has different interests and how much they like that interest. This means a sim can be really into animals but don't care much for money. The more interests you have in common with another sim, the easier you will get along with them. You can change their interests by going to a community lot and picking up various magazines. Reading these magazines will affect what interests you'll change. Below you'll see the different magazines and what interest(s) they affect.
